I always thought there was an industry standard. Do you have corroded terminals. My F250 4 wire covers are always getting uncapped and the terminals are always green or blue from corrosion. I spray an electrical connector spray and that helps.<br>

If it is not corrosion, your terminals are wired incorrectly. If you are not a do-it-yourself kind of person, go to a trailer hitch installer and have them correct it.<br>

If you want to do it yourself, I'd make up short jumpers and connect them to determine what goes where and what works. I always have lots of problems with a good ground connection making none or only a few things work. I also take the lamp covers off and either spray the bulb bottoms with electric dielectrice spray or get a dab of grease on them to ensure the circuit is correct. Likewise at that time I use a light meter to check for power.

Am new to tractors. Looking at a '04 b7800 180 hrs,4wd,hst,r-4 tires, Bush Hog m146 fel, and a box blade. Dealer is asking $13,000- would probably take $12,500, maybe even $12,000 for cash deal. I need some good advise to determine if this is a good deal or should I keep shopping. Your help is most appreciated.

Hello. I am trying to determine the right tractor for my needs. I have 10 acres in Grant, FL. All flat, gets wet. There are 7 acres of heavy pasture that needs bush-hog work -- 2 acres of finish mowing work. Plus a small animal farm in need of a front loader, and pulling (wagons, etc.) work.<br>

With an OEM battery I presume. Nice touch Deere, must be learning bad tricks from Honda.

Well I finished the first frame. I used scrap 2" x 2" fir I had around the place. Naturally the frame is a little thicker than normal, but I figured if she is learning I can learn also. It might take a few attemps to get it perfect. The first attempt is better than the Wally World variety anyway. Maybe I should post a picture of her first canvas?

Ditto Yoopers comments. With all this talk about the sway bars, I was puuting on an implement and forgot to put the pins back in, yup lost em, had some extras on hand so no problem. I always just hand snug then back off so I can put the snap pins in.

another option to look at is auctions. My local JD dealer is one of a group of 9 or 10 dealerships. Each spring at one location, they gather all of their used lawn and garden equipment and hold a big auction. That's where I got my JD 325. You have to know the value of course, but sometimes you can get a good deal on an upper level mower.

Just a note to inform anyone interested about this little workhorse. I am now over 350 hours in 13 months. No problems. I mow 5 acres in an afternoon with plenting of breaks on those hot days. Moved tons of dirt, stone with chopped and split wood. (Loaded many pick up with wood with the front loader) Dug at least 600 feet of trenches, and one grave and love to use the back hole to lift logs for cutting oh such a back saver. Art thank you for your honest help. The only regret I have is during last winter that I was not able to get out and use it as much and the fact that it does not have a cab.

I GOT HOOKED WITH A BX2200 AND FEL. SO HOOKED THAT I HAD TO TRADE UP TO THE B7800. ART'S RIGHT. THE BX IS TOTALLY CAPABLE OF MOST JOBS BUT B'S DO THEM SO MUCH FASTER,BUT FOR A PRICE. LIKED MY BX2200, LOVE MY B7800.

I DID THIS ON MY BX2200 LAST YEAR WHEN I DID NOT GET THE SHAFT ENGAGED TOTALLY INTO THE DRIVE. MAKE SURE IT CLICKS IN WHEN RE INSERTING!!! ALL I LOST WAS A NEW OIL FILTER AND ALL THE SUPER UDT FLUID. GOOD LUCK AND HOPEFULLY THIS WILL BE ALL YOU LOST!!!

The first thing I'd tell you if you don't own a tractor yet is to try the different makes as there are differences! Some don't even turf much in four wheel drive when making tight corners and there are others that tear in two wheel drive do to the angle of the axle. The rears without difflock engaged normally don't tear turf even if they are wide where the fronts might.

Brain, Thanks for the info. I called last week, Matt is out for the next 4 weeks due to a back injury. Talked to his backup, he didnt have a clue what I was looking for, but would email the info when he found out. Havent received anything yet. Since found online on parts catalog, the shim kit is actually for the front of the mast supports, where the support that latches to the front of the tractor bolts up.

I made my own shims, as a temp measure till this spring. They really tighten up the mast. When I pull the FEL to start mowing, I'll pull the mast apart and the square tube support, and take them both to my welder to build up the metal on the mast so it fits the tube snug.

Get the 54" deck. It sticks out further which makes it easier to edge, not to mention adding another 1/2ft to your swath. If I recall correctly it also has better anti-scalp rollers and a better deflector than the 48".

As long as you don't use 4WD when you don't need it, the BX bar tires will not hurt your lawn. Trust me, I have experience with both! This is NOT true for a tractor with larger tires. The BX bar tires DO provide extra grip in mud and rough terrain. IMO, the best feature of the R1's is the self-cleaning ability. Turfs are horrible about packing full of mud, gravel and other debris (like grass clippings).

does anyone know of a muffler that would fit the kubota rtv, muffle the sound down,.and not blowback to weaken the diesel engine. there are lots of these for a gasolene engine but ive not found info about one fitting a diesel.
