All banjo bolts either have orings, copper washers or washers with a rubber ring in them to seal the joint, repair shouldn't be that hard to do.

The main source of noise from my RTV seems to be from things vibrating like mad on the metal floor in the bed. With the limited space in the engine area and length of the exhaust, a different muffler may be the only option.

I'd thought about making turns too and having the extra rubber tearing things up even more so than now. I've pretty much nixed the dual idea for that very reason and also the loss of traction I learned about from a previous post. Sounds like I may stay with what I have.

I thought about opening the decompression lever, but with the valve cover off the linkage is disconnected. I guess I could try turning the decompression shaft with a wrench.

I think you should look for a nice low hour used Deere F-525. These are very reliable and simple front mower machines that are darn near as good and fast as a zero turn radius mower. The are powered by a Kawasaki PA540 17 hp engine that shares the same oil with the hydro unit. I have had mine for about 4 years and it has been a very good mower that I have used on my own lawn as well as 2 years of commercial lawn mowing. You can find them in the $1200 to $1800 price range depending upon condition and hours. Just something else to consider.

I don't consider this a job for an amatuer but it might be a simple problem. Look for string or grass or anything that might be hanging out from the area that the two housings meet. We often pull them apart and find mud dirt stones or most anything you might find. No kitchen sinks! If it is slow weep we often substitute the gear oil instead of UDT to slow it down. They often do just disappear with a good cleaning.

You shouldn't have to be fixing this problem. Your tractor is under warrantee and this shold be covered. It does sound like an electrical problem.

I have a slight leak in the backhoe control valve. Have cleaned and watched for where the drip is coming from but can only narrow it down to 2 valve sections. Has anyone done their own control valve disassembly and repair? Seems like a job just to get the whole valve assembly out. This leak seems to occur more when I shut the system down rather than when I am using it. Sort of surprising. I am guessing it is in the relief valve or in the return line path.<br>

Guess I need to research which side of the lift arms the tightners are on B4 I respond. I had not considered them being on the inside.

You are correct, however me still thinks they should only B snugg. Usually things need to give a little.

JDraines, recommend Kubota Super UDT fluid--if you don't already use it, you'll see the difference, particularly in cold weather. NAPA and other stores often carry the filter, but I'd stay with Kubota. Best of luck.

Besides looks, what are the differences between the new jd 300cx quick-tatch loader and the previous 430 model? I would be buying either to mount to a 2000 JD 4300.

Some robots are good like them vacuuming ones. I'd like to get one for the family room to keep the dog hair off the carpet. But then, the mutt would probably be afraid of it. He also likes to eat/shred things which the robot vacs can't pick up like kleenex boxes, pens, etc.

Dang robots... Now if they could make one that kept beer cold and followed you around... That would be a good robot.

HELP, THE WOODS LOADER ON MY JD 790 IS VERY SLOW TO LIFT AND SQUEALS LOADLY, I HAVE BEEN TOLD IT WAS POSSIBLY THE CYLINDER OR THE VALVE. I HAVE CHECKED THE FLUID LEVEL AND THERE ARE NO EXTERNAL LEAKS. HOW DO I CHECK FOR A BLOWN VALVE OR CYLINDER PROBLEM? THE SQUEALLING SEEMS TO BE COMING FROM UNDER THE SEAT WHERE THE FLUID RESERVIOR IS. THE BUCKET TILTS BACK AND FORTH FINE AND IT DROPS AS IS SHOULD. THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE IS THE VERY SLOW LIFT. As I recall; a number of tractor manufacturers reommend storing the tractor for extended periods with an inch or so block of wood slight depressing the clutch pedal to prevent the clutch from sticking to the flywheel. At least my Kubota L245 manual did.

I was quoted $21K for L4400 with bucket....and no bushhog or other attachments.... I think you should ask to see suggested MSRP for everything and try for 10-20% off of that. This should be possible, because the L4400 is not real popular model right now...

I feel that the front powered axle is often worth double it's price when the unit is used but that might be depending on the area! In our area I wouldn't expect more then ten for that tractor.
