I have a 755 and also planned to adapt a forklift mast to the 3pt, after taking the forklift apart, I realised the static weight of the mast,forks,ect. was going to so limit my lifting capacity it may not be succesfull. your 855 has the same 3pt rating of 785# 24" behind link ends ( I have never found out where exactly where this measurement point this is, But the forks alone are 90# each)
I put a hold on the project, time has not allowed me to get back to it, but I also have been thinking along the lines of the "Trailer" mentioned by Denwood, and would love to here more about it. The issue of haveing a CUT that is not heavy enough to hold the "trailer" down can be cured by extending the trailer boom lenth (at the cost of turning radius).
I also noted that the FEL had more capacity, so when time allows I will start with Fork adapter to pin on in place of the bucket.

I bought the 5103 tractor. I looked around at all other makes models and kept coming back to this one. I don't regret it. I live in Eastern Canada with alot of snow. I also bought a good set of chains and I was never in a place where I wished i had bought a fwd. Damn fine tractor for any use.....

Actually, the google robot for some reason has gone haywire recently and along with searching the site the googlebot has actually been doing some blank posting !

So far it has only been a minor intrusion if this error persists I will have to block those "post message pages" from the robot.

A trick that I've had to do is pull the auger out, grab a large spud bar and break through the hard spot and give the auger another try. The control arm turned to the back and having my brother hang off of it didn't help in my circumstance. We were in a long, very dry spell at the time and when the auger stopped biting it would just polish the bottom of the clay hole as it spun. My pilot could use some work too. I'm sure cleaning it up would have helped.

I was all confused I guess. I thought that by adding extra area contacting the ground not only would I increase traction but also increase traction. Thanks for setting me straight. I haven't heard of the jeep thing. Could you explain please. Thanks.

Looking at a 2004 7800 4wd hydro R4 tires 170 hrs, with a BushHog M146 loader and a boxblade. Tractor is very clean. Dealer is asking $13,000 and would probably take $12000-12,500. How good of a deal? It's somewhat attractive after pricing a new 7800 with fel for $15,900...

Murf, it's kind of funny how people play the game. A few years back, Weyerhaeuser (the largest employer and private landowner in this area) was one of the biggest companies hollering for tariffs on Canadian lumber.

So what did they do? They bought MacMillan Bloedel Limited in 1999. Today, Weyerhaeuser Canada holds renewable, long-term licenses on 32.6 million acres of forestlands in five provinces and owns 664,000 acres.

Guess who's against the lumber tariff now! Oh, the games people play...

The pics on my profile with the clay plugged tread are R4 industrial tires. The R1 ag tires are narrower and taller with much deeper tread. The traction you get depends a LOT on the type of soil you have. If you have wet, sticky clay the best you can do is probably R1 ag tires. This is because of the deeper lugs and the ability to "self-clean", where the lugs will twist and flex and shake off the mud. If you have well drained sandy soil it doesn't matter as much. I've always found the term "bar tires" confusing. R1s and R4s both have bars but they are entirely different beasts.

That blower fits the older B-series like 6200 all the way up to the B-1750 chassis. I'd peg it at 2000 with out looking at it with your word of being in good condition. Anything less would enter into a bargin and more should be mounted.

Before I make any modifications to an original system I like to know that it is performing the way it should to begin with and I'm not trying to overcome a problem that when that is fixed the operating problem goes away. We have done stick controls depending on needs and the operator. It is possible to run the control by lever from several different locations but I'd first see where it would be best for all operators.

Is there a secret to engaging 4x4 on this tractor (25hp 4x4)? I was attempting to engage it the other day and the doggone lever wouldn't budge for a while. I thought I was going to bend or brake the lever so I took it easy and messed with it for like 15 min. before it finally moved. <br>
I just didn't know if there is a trick, be it clutch position, in gear, in neutral etc. that I am missing.<br>

On the Kubota B7610 there on lock up pins on the MMM deck that fit in brackets in the frame. Unfortunately, since I widened my rear wheel width the rear roller wheel now hits the rear tire when I raise the deck making it impossible to lock the deck :--(. Generally it is better to have the MMM off for most things that require rear implement use. But it is time consuming, and has made me put off some projects because I would have to put the MMM right back on.

The kit come with other items such as a C range lock out plate and some plastic fender plugs to disable the bells and whistles. This kit may also still be referred to as the "Rental Upgrade Kit" by the sales people.

Also be advised that this kit is incompatable with a MMM or any other mid mounted attachments such as a snow blower. Even the MMM lift servo and frame must be removed to install this kit. The kit is a great addition for working in heavy brush or in other applications where the wiring harnesses for the 4WD and other features could possibly become snagged and ripped out. They are not cheap to repair.

For tight quarter work a hydro will out live a clutch anyday! Mowing is also much easier with a hydro. To have long hard pulls a gear would give you better fuel economy but for an occasional pull a hydro will out work a gear drive as you have no flexibility of speed changes with a gear drive.

I can believe their asking price, and I can believe it has sat since August. I can believe it will be sitting there next August if they do not come down a lot, but you know a fool and his money soon part ways and fools are plentiful. They are hoping for one. Patience is the hard part. I searched almost 6 months to get one just the way I wanted used. I almost always go with a private sale. I turned a 4400 down for haveing turf tires and a 72 inch bucket for $14,000 with the 72 inch belly, 430 loader and a 3rd remote, 475 hours. Tires were not right and 72 inches is too big for a bucket on a 430 no matter who says different. I was bummin for not grabbing it but I just would not have been happy. Dealers have a lot of overhead and need to charge for it, I understand but I want a deal I can resell if necessary and not take a bath. For every month it sits there it costs them money, interst lost or paid depending on their finances and it depreciates over time. Walk in with green cash, make sure the sales manager sees it not just the salesman, you may be surprised. Take the hard line approach and walk away. He may chase you, he may call in a day. I went a state away to look at a used VW TDI at a dealer. I offered far less than they wanted and refused a penny more. The jerks waited till I got home to call and say I could have it. It is worth less each day. Today my search for a Steiner mower ended. 6 months of searching seriously, several years of wanting. I got a 420 with 60 inch deck fairly good cond. for $2000. worth the wait. good luck.
