I learned the hard way too, reverse was a crow bar and a chain. To avoid that happening to such a degree, lower the 3 point inch by inch so the hydraulics are always about to support the digger rather than allowing it to screw itself all the way into the ground freely when you drop the 3 point lever to the bottom. Then it is more likely to be just a turn or so before you can lift it free.

I guess it makes sense if you can put a 420 or 430 on a 43,4400 and a 420 on a 4200 you should be able to put a 430 on a 4200, JD just does not rate the 4200 for the 430. It may turn smaller if both use the same axle steering angles. If they differ, who knows, JD keeps it a secret in their brochures. $14000 would surely be my top offer, dealers often get more than a private sale, I would start at 12,000 since 4200s are a harder sell. Many private 43,4400s have been selling in like condition and equipment in the 14s. Mine had 299 hours a scraper,a 430, and a 3 pt PTO sprayer for 14,500, but no belly mower. Mine with 32 HP seems fine for all tasks but high speed transport. It bogs down considerably on hills and 26 Hp would surely be noticable on a tractor with almost the same weight.

AHHHHH, I think your hooked! Just think how much more you could do and how much faster it would be with the larger B-series with the three range transmission for better ground speed and power and 500 plus more lbs and just over 48" wide! The BH75 hoe with stronger dig out force and the larger loader would be nice for knocking over trees. Five foot hog and send the swisher down the road!

Do you have anything in mind? You have a light chassis and to go to far maybe even four foot on a four foot cutter you would need additional counter balance.

I fork lift will have just as much flow as your tractor. The cyl the control tilt and side shift should already have restricting orifices in the ports. In all reality all you would need is an open center valve with as many opt puts that you require. You would have an in port and an out port to plug in to your b-hoe circuit. The tractor will have the relief valve for over load protection. If you wanted to spend the money you could get a valve that has a relief for shock load but is probably not necessary.

I have justed purchased a Shibaura Tractor, someone has painted it to look like a New Holland/Ford, I would like to get parts for it like a frontend loader but, I do not know where to find the Model Number on the Tractor, can someone help me?<br>

This isn't anything new. The old timers were always putting a quart of ATF in the tanks,, I used in my rigs and still use in my Dodge Cummins and Kubota, "Howes Lubricant".. Several times over the years at various truck stops, old timers would always yell, why buy Howes when you can get a quart of ATF for pennies...

I have a 1974 135 with 2500 hours, decent shape though with cosmetically challenged fenders. Loaded tires, Perkins diesel 39 hp, 4x2/2R trans, everything works I'm selling for $3,600. I'm too far from you though, this is just for ideas. This will pull 6' equipment all day long. I needed 4wd and bought one and need to sell the other. Good luck, Jim

Did you check the LoadMatch switch? When that is off, my 4310 will lag when ascending hills. Even with it on, it still lags a bit, but not nearly as much.

Unless they changed it, what keeps the thing from unscrewing are a couple of deep punch holes that interrupt the threads.

The Phillips screws cover the pilot holes used in the punching operation.

Greg and Tommy, Thanks so much, With Tommy Help today I started in to the drive shaft and with hope I will be able to discover the trouble tomorrow morning. I am having trouble moving the spring loaded shaft back but at Tommy suggestion I will find a way tomorrow. Work called on account of rain. Thanks guys

Thanks for the tips, Murf. I just bought what the guy at the trailer place said I needed. The hook came with a ball as an assembly so I didn't question if it was correct or not. the hook may not latch closed with a taller ball on it, but measurements will tell the tale. A smaller lunette ring will surely help too.
