I have a Kabota B2400 w/woods 6500 backhoe. On the boom piston I have to replace the rubber bumper (now a plastic sleeve) on each end. Please guide me through changing these. There is one bolt 1"1/8 on each end under the support legs of the backhoe? I have already lowered the support legs, disconnected the pistons in order to gain access to those bolts.<br>

thats it, the front coupler pin is gone and the coupler slid off the axle.<br>
I could not find the old pin in the sleeve, should I worry where it went <br>
can I replace the pin w/ cotter key or small bolt or so I have to go find an exact pin<br>

well letting it soak overnight in breakaway worked. I took the arm off AGAIN and put it in the vise and took a pipe wrench BAME broke loose finally!!!

I haven't used one myself, but how about a 3PH scoop? From what I've read, they work pretty well for what you're describing.

They did give us the David Browns for a couple of years right after the merger as they had to close some of the IH plants. The model numbers were nearly the same just red and black tractors.

It is normally recommended to hook trailers to the fixed drawbar. The chains? Why? With a blacktop driveway you would have the most traction with turf tires.

Not totally familiar with the hitch on that model but often there is a way to lock the deck in the up position so you can still use the three point hitch with the deck on.

Now that is the best reason for having a dedicated permenant hook up I have heard. I can envision a extended outage with the neighbors asking for help with their freezers etc with the mobile unit.

Can anyone tell me if there is an PTO override switch or lever on the above model. We can't seem to get it to work. Main lever right of the seat seems to move freely but no movement down back !! New slasher is just sitting there looking at me !!!<br>

Oliver,

Do you have any more information on the anti sway bars you swapped out. Made the mistake of letting a friend borrow my B7510, it came back with one bent sway bar and another broke off. I will not do that again. Where did you buy the parts?

Towing from the draw-bar is always the safest, but that limits the ballasting options. You could use the draw-bar and a single axle trailer and load the thing heavy in the front so it has the maximum tongue weight. That would favor better traction and control.

I would ballast the rear end of the tractor as much as possible to get the tractor as close to the weight of the loaded trailer as possible.

I have seen some ballast boxes with trailer hitches. I have my Bad River hitch stacked with barbell weights. The are some photos in my pics.

I would not recommend the loader blade. The Curtis is way overpriced for what you get, so as Murf indicates build your own if you need one. I sold mine for several hundred less than I paid for it after little use. I now use just the loader and rear blade.

I found several things about a loader blade I do not like. It stresses the loader arms, digs into a stone driveway like crazy, if you use the float feature very little load causes the front wheels to loose steering capability,limits your ability to push the tractor out of a hole as well as placing a great deal of weight on the loader at all times.

If you want to spend money, but a three point blower.
