Sooo.... What size/HP tractor is this? Is it a 4wd?

John,
I have a 2001 7205. It is a workhorse for it's size. So far I'm totally satisfied with my tractor and would recomend Cub's 7000 series to anyone. One word of caution, be sure and check the engine mounting and loader mounting bolts frequently. I havent had any issues but others have had damage when bolts backed out unnoticed.

My brother just got a new HP Home Media Center PC. He had lots of questions until he bought it. Now I don't expect to hear from him as gets embroiled in all its media details. Amazing what you can get for 900 bucks

I saw one post of someone that had installed the over under drive. I am thinking about it as I am nearing my power train waranty. What are the pros and cons? Has anyone had any problems?

Unfortunately the squeeky wheel gets the grease. The dealer is not necessarily going to act as your advocate. In this case he did a little as he got the crank for free. If you did not move the problem from the dealer to the area service rep. then you can not necessarily expect to recieve satifaction.
In this day and age we do not expect the crank to break on a young tractor. There must have been a flaw in the casting of the crank.
From what I know of the DK series this is very rare. If you squeek I believe Kioti will make it right as Murf says Kubota does.
I had a Toyota have a serious engine problem a few years back. It was just out of waranty also. I talked with the dealer and got no where. Then I insisted that I talk with the service rep. and Toyota provided free service.

James and Paul Burdens shop number is 270-788-9391. I talked with them to see if they are still doing tractors. He said the rebuilt 5 Low boys last year.

We will have to check them out as the Columbus dealer folded and so has the Fayette. The new Columbus dealer has move out to near the airport so it is nearly 1 hour either direction.

I have a small trailer that was originally the back of an old small pickup. I mean old as it is probably 1920's. I have towed it both ways but with the larger tractor I can us the 3 pt to dump the trailer. The 3 pt hitch is best the 2 pt is difficult to back up and will twist the ball or pin.

If you shorten the top link it will keep the cutting edge out of the gravel. After freeze up lenghten it out and let the edge cut some.<br>

EDIT: This says opposite of Murf. I'm going by the 2 I've owned. I am not up to speed on yours so Murf may be right. Try it on a flat hard surface so you can see the difference.

I just checked mine and they are fairly stiff. I could get it to turn, but took good effort with one hand. I have 132k miles.

Hi, I want to the dealer and offered my concerns with John Deere's recomendation of not changing filter or fluid until 400 hrs. He called Deere and spoke to their tech guy and was told that tests they have done indicated that early changes aren't necessary and that on future tractors they would be raising the interval to 600 hrs for the first change.

The box blade has a definite weight advantage when it comes to actually staying on the ground when attempting to move stuff. I used a scraper blade for about 3 years, and never got any real satisfaction with it. Replaced it with a box blade last year, and have moved more since that I did during the whole 3 years I owned the scraper blade. Snow is no problem - if you've got the horsepower and traction. With 45hp and 4wd on R1 tires, I moved some serious snow last winter (serious for Western KY that is)

I think it's priced where it should be. Those units didn't come with power steering and the option that was available to be dealer added was really less then acceptable as far as I'm concerned so bear in mind that in tight areas with the bucket full Armstrong Power Steering is not the best!

The front axle on my L225DT broke and I'm not able to find a replacement. Ronnie at TractorSmart says they're on backorder from Japan and Western Kentucky salvage doesn't have any. Apparently this axle was used only on the L225DT's. These are the two best resources I'm aware of, any suggestions?<br>

Chances are the "filter minder" or restriction indicator would have set into the red zone if the air filter was restricted.

Are you attempting to drive up the hill in C range? The engine does not have the power to pull the tractor in C range if you really put the pedal to it. My 4410 will bog down going up hill in C range at WOT.

I quick eye ball of your filter bowl should give you an idea if you fuel filter is restricted.

We can get to pumps, relief valves, filters, and suction screens later if all else pans out.

Don't know about other areas but here there is a two yard minimum for the truck to come out. With in 20 mile I have 5 concrete company's and 2 portland cement manufactures.
