A.cat, I am sure you will love your 2305. What was your final price? I am on the verge of buying a 2305 with r4 tires, loader, and 62"mmm, but am wondering if I also should buy a 1964 allis chalmers d-15 (45hp/$3800) to do the heavy dirt grading on our new house. Might be overkill as the 2305/2210 have shown good reviews for power/traction. Can a 2305 pull a 5'box blade? What blade works best for pushing snow on a long 500'driveway? Can the 62"mmm handle grass 6"-9" tall on a dry day?

My neighbor has a Kubota B7200 with a Gannon Box with rippers. No know problems. Just replaced two hydrolic lines.<br>
Kubota has 900 hours on it. He paid $8,800 in 2001 and he wants $7,000 for it. We live In Northern California. What would you say is a fair price?

Here are the features I wish for almost everyday.<br>

A horn - to get my wife's or the dogs' attention, or get them out of the way.<br>

A 4wd indicator light - I sometimes go 2-3 hours without realizing I forgot to take it out of 4wd.<br>

Less often, a lights indicator - It's hard to tell they're on during daylight hours.<br>

Today I was buried up to my axles in loose, sloppy clay. The diff lock didn't help. If I didn't have the F350 and logging chains, it would probably still be there. The R4's just spun. So now I'm thinking about a winch too!<br>

I totally agree with AV8R. People forget the fact that we are at war. War is not pretty. Each year past 2001, it seems people are forgetting that 9-11 happened. No, I am not advocating that everyone we are taking out is linked to 9-11. This is war and if they do not want to be killed they must comply, or surrender.....just a fact. I think it is admirable that President Bush is the main one starting on a plan for combatting global terrorism so that maybe, we don't just have to write it off as a fact of life from now to eternity!

Unfortunately yes, it does pull up the base in the least aggressive drag mat mode. I think a chain link section is a great idea providing I can solve the basic traction issue.
I'm going to try rear weights and de-flating the tires and see what happens.

My property isn't that big so the tractor doesn't get used that often. The 60" mower is to big for for many parts of my lawn plud I would like to have a mower that has a collection system for the grass. I get the most use from my tractor during the winter months. I have a long driveway that I plow with the tractor. So I am considering a walker mower to replace the ventrac. I love my ventrac and I'm considering buying the snow blower and cab for it if I can sell the loader & mower. Do you own a ventrac and which model?

I have a TC30 with the 7308 loader and a Bush Hog Model 12 rotary mower. I highly recommend getting a front end loader (FEL) - it makes the tractor the handiest heavy-duty wheel-barrow you could ever want. I use it to move rocks, soil, sand, and brush piles. I also use it to lift heavy "stuff", most recently taking a PTO tiller out of the back of my truck.

Since the Bush Hog is used for brush and field work and not lawn mowing, I don't worry about the FEL loading the front wheels and marking the lawn. If that's a concern, why not use a mid-mount mower and remove the FEL before mowing the lawn?

I may be pushing the topic off on a tangent, but have you looked into those puck-type blade height adjustors they use on regular snowplows? One on each end should keep the corners from digging in. Combine that with a UHWMPE cutting strip that will wear to the proper height and you should have a great setup.

I'd be using the height adjustor puck thingys (scientific term used, of course) if I had a paved driveway. But I don't.

Thanks Justus. I think I will use the acrylic varnish I have in house. I am still not sure what the gesso is or where I can find it here.
Ken The premade ones here are near $20 dollars each at Wallmart only. I can make 4 for $5 of better quality. As she has only completed one painting todate, I think it is better that she just paints rather than worrying about the costs.
