Just wanted to bump this back up to the top for my fellow Tennesseans in the event that any of you are having problems finding diesel fuel available. Supplies are running low is scattered areas, and this is an option that most folks are not aware of.

Sounds like you have checked all the things that can cause this. Something that can cause this that is a bit of a long shot is in some fuel tanks, there is a pickup screen or "filter sock" (for lack of a better term) that can become clogged with debry or contaminants. You may want to check and see if this is the case. The other unlikely but possible option is that the fuel itself is bad. Where did you get the diesel fuel from?

I've adjusted my driving habits on my diesel F-250 but not to the extreme of putting it in neutral. I've seen significant improvement in mileage. I went from about 16.5 mpg to 17.8 and higher.

It's simple. I stopped driving 65-70 mph on the backroads to work. Speed limit is 55 so I do between 55 & 60. I don't accelerate hard either. I preplan my intown routes in my head before starting to make the most efficient route for stops, etc. I also get completely out of the throttle on downhill slopes. The truck drops only 1 or 2 MPH if any. On uphill slopes, I allow the truck to drop a few MPH like from 60 mph to 55-57 mph. Uses less fuel that way and I have gravity on my side on the downhill.

It's just too bloody expensive to have bad habits anymore.

Same here Greg, I bought my IM502 from a couple of famous old reputable gents in my area. When I shelled out the money and asked for the paperwork one of them shuffles off into the office for about 1/2 hour and then returns with a couple of sheets with greasy finger prints all over them. If these guys weren't so well known I would have balked.

Just for trivea when, you have more salt than water...
If I recall correctly, sodium chloride absorbs water to an atmosphere equlibrium of around 75.8%RH at room temp. We used to use containers filled with different salts to calibrate humidity probes at differnt levels. Lithium chloride as I recall will maintain a 12% RH in a closed environment,that is, up until the salt is completely saturated.

Hi. I got excellent advice about purchasing a used finish mower at the 'Grooming Mowers Finish Mowers' forum. Also decided to resurect my old, broken 5-foot rotary deck. I am wondering if there might be some parts source, manual availability, or other info for an old machine like this. <br>

It's rusty, red,and has a faded white INTERNATIONAL sticker on the side rail. I can't locate a serial or model number, but know they're there somewhere. It's heavy-as-hell compared to all the new ones I considered replacing it with. No idea how old it is. Is this INTERNATIONAL associated with the old Farmall International brands? Anyone know of a successor company?<br>

The main problem is the rivited pulley welded onto a hub that is pushed onto the spindle. It is really too light duty to put much pressure on it w/o bending.

It is apart now. Need a new pully in addition to the original problem spindle. Will return the complete assembly since I'll have to wait for the pully anyway.

The bottom threads are RH. It took 2 3' pipe wrenches to break that loose. I had a lot of pressure on the pully since I'd already bent it and hit it with some heat and it popped loose.

The lawn will survive another week with out mowing. Besides I'd rather cut wood now.

I use amsoil 2 stroke for everything with no problems.
I got tired of having several cans of different ratios of mix, I use it as directed 1 bottle for 5 gal of gas for /

Be aware that the pan fish can pollute the lake on their own if there is nothing to prey on them. My aunt and uncle's lake near McKeller ON was alway gray green when I was young. The lake was 6 miles long and only a dozen seasonal cottages. The pan fish nipped your toes when swimming. In the 80's the fishery ministry checked the lake and determined it had no preditory fish and was polluting itself. They added a few pike and now lake is clear and clean.

If you are asking about the three point hitch that comes on the tractor, I would think they make their own. But they don't make a Quick hitch for the 3-point. I Think each dealer selects what line he will carry. Sometime 2 or 3 lines af attachments. My dealer handles Buhler .Ron

I do not care what tractor you buy but get it with a loader it is the single most useful accessory there is. I would consider mine worthless with out the loader.
