exactly, and when is FEL capacity ever enough. I have been moving stumps and mine is constantly maxed out hydraulically, but it moved every stump I needed so far. Anything less just could not have done it. The better tires are important to me. The larger the diameter, the smoother the ride and the bigger obstacles and holes you can run over. If your yard is smooth, no problem although there is less footprint on a smaller diameter and thus more PSI, rutting etc. 3 point hitch again, easier to find implements if it is just a regular 3 point.

As you can see in my profile, just about all of my implements are Land Pride. They are ALL very solidly built and as good or better than any of the top rated brands out there. The issue you may want to look at is the cost. Unfortunately, Land Pride equipment costs right up there with and sometimes even more than Deere and other expensive brands. If you use the equipment only occasionally; the cost in my opinion just cannot be justified. On the other hand, if you use it commercially; Land Pride is about the best built you can buy in my opinion.

Yes is certainly does look like we are gonna get soaked! Hopefully the storm with break up in intensity before it gets up here from the gulf. We have been in a very bad drought. So bad the wells in the area of very low and going dry.........mine included. The hay fields are looking really spotty and the grass is stunted. We need that rain REALLY bad; just not all on one big gulley washer. I will keep you guys posted on how the Hurricane plays out.

The Grooming mower brand new was $1700. It has less than 30hrs total mowing on it. It's in great condition. Well taken care of, sheltered, no problems what so ever. It still cuts as good as when I first got it. I wanted to trade for a JD MX6 rotary cutter. Salesman said $1000 would be all he could give. For a JD mower less than a year old I thought maybe between $1200-$1500 wouldn't be to high.

Hmm. My experience with Castrol dino oil was good but not that good. I always used Castrol prior to switching to synthetic and those engines always had some carmelization and wear. The design of the engine lubrication system plays a major role in this I'm sure.

I am looking to purchase an LA211 loader from anyone not wanting it any longer, selling or trading their BX in.<br>
The problem I am having is Kubota no longer sells the LA211 without a valve and that adds hundreds to the cost of a new one. <br>
I am willing to spend $1,500.00 for a used one in good shape.<br>

I just bought my first cans of bio and plan to run it soon in my L2850. Where I bought it, I asked if anyone had any problems with it and they said I may have to change the fuel filter after running a while because it will clean out the fuel tank of junk and deposit it in the fuel filter. To me that is another plus for running it.

After Mowing for an hour and parking the tractor there will be 4 or 5 drips of oil on the floor. Seems to be getting worse. The breather tube to the bottom of the engine seems to be clear. Where would the pressure come from? Thanks

I'd check your area dealers out to see what they have to offer. If you go after-market be sure the limits for capacity don'd exceed what the tractor was designed for. Be prepared for spending 8 to 9 thousand.

Gene, I didn't quite read all that you were asking. Harvey is right about trying to relieve potential stress on the pivot to allow grease to go in. With the old king pin fronts on cars and trucks it was standard to do that and not a bad idea to move any joint you might be greasing. On the filters, Kubota works thru Fleet Gaurd for there filters but they are a different filter from Kubota then you will get at a Fleet Gaurd dealer. I do stress to buy the best filter possible as well as the best oil. A little more on the Case-IH oil, they ran diesel engines at full throttle for 3000 hours non-stop at full load which far exceeds the normal government test. Gas engines went for 1500 hours with the ash removed. Ash is good for a diesel engine and bad for a gas!

Dieseltrctr, thanks for the compliment. My son has helped me complete staining the front of the house, and he and my daughter (with aid of the JD 4310) have helped me complete a stone wall in the back. So things are looking even nicer now. As for the neighbor - my wife and I are as tough as nails. So don't worry about us, my wife carries a Smith and Wesson.

Before I even read all the replies, the 50 horsepower range was my best estimation. A good start is to determine what all you want to do to the land. You can then select the appropriate implements. Most new implement brochures will state the horsepower range ( at the drawbar or PTO) that is required to efficiently use the implement. Now,to throw in the sales pitch for New Holland compact diesels ....excellent tractors, well worth considering. Good luck!

These threads seem to go far from the original point quickly. Sure, if you are pulling a little or nothing load a "toy" trailer is fine. You do indeed need a sizeable truck to pull a sizeable load. I use mine in my business, and need to haul a lot of material at one time. How much rock, mulch, soil and sod do you think I can haul on a tiny trailer at a time. The lack of high fuel mileage is a part of heavy equipment hauling heavy loads. :-)
