If the "quarter inching valve" is the valve holding the 3pt in place when running, then "always bleeds" makes no sense to me. It seems there is a problem with a tractor that does not hold the 3pt in place *when running* - if that is what you are saying.

Interesting discussion on the traction but I have to counter. To much weight burns more fuel and hinders drivetrain life as well as plants. With it being as dry here as it is this year I haven't mowed in two or three weeks and when I did then it was for the most part weeds. Our old town is torn up and there is much slate and blue stone being taken up from walks and steps and I was lucky enough to get some and hauled it to my back yard at home. Where the LS190 NH Skid Steer went across my yard even straight all grass is now dead leaving brown tracks. To think last year I would have been worried over rutting it as I had to keep mowing every five days thru the year till October.

Oneace, I can't add a lot to this board when it comes to the technical or mechanical subjects addressed here. As someone here once described themselves, I'm one of the lurk and learn members. BUT, having had a heart attack at 49 years old (while running), when I thought I was in great shape, I can tell you and everyone on this board that this stress crap can kill you. When I say stress, I mean that that is real and that that is created by our own genetics. I told you before about liking what you do. It's worth a cut in pay if you can go into work enjoying what you do instead of feeling sick while driving to work in the morning. I know jobs are difficult to come by but believe me, you can like what you do for a living. It seems to me I remember you having a picture of a little girl on your profile. I think she would want you around for a long time. You seem to have quite a bit of knowledge with tractors and enjoy them. Perhaps it would behoove you to swallow some pride and talk to your former employer. If you left under friendly circumstances maybe he wishes he had you around and maybe you can negotiate an increase in pay to return. If you didn't leave under friendly circumstances perhaps you can learn from any possible mistakes and apply at another dealer. Sorry for the long winded reply but it's something I feel strongly about. Steve

I am looking to purchase a used 2000,LK3504 it has about 500 hours.It is for sale from a private party. My concern is it is at the dealers servive dept. waiting to have a new clutch intalled,they have been waiting for the clutch (parts) for almost 3-weeks. Is this normal for the clutch to go bad afer 500 hours,and have it take this long for parts?<br>

Well, I said I would post back on how this went. Yep, I now have an LA211 on my BX2200. I think the quick hook lines could be a bit longer, but like it alot. I think my dealer here in Austin TX did me ok at $2300+taxes for the LA211 installed. +1 to Lanford Eqipment (actially the Marble Falls Lanford dealer did the work) - thanks Tyler.

My BX2200 also had a leaking seal on the fuel tank sending unit. Cheap part but expensive laobor due to typical Japanese compact-have-to-everything-apart design. -1 to the Japanese design on that.

Be careful with rat poison and dogs. We were at my sister in laws house last Christmas, and while we were there she had three dogs eat some after the kids found it behind some stuff outside. The vet couldn't save them and all the dogs died. She was terribly broken up over it.

I am assuming you have a hydro unit. They are prone to some fluid noise. Does you loader operate smoothly or is it jumpy? Does the noise persist when operating the loader? How about when you put the system into relief by moving the loader cyl. to the max and holding the stick for a bit?

I'm about to purchase approximately 200 yards of topsoil for my new front yard. This will give me 6" of depth on top of a freshly graded clay/dirt/sand mixture (formerly a forest floor; hard-pan at about 18" below the current surface).<br>

I've purchased a few yards recently for misc projects, and noticed that no matter where I buy, there always is a lot of wood (10%-30%, perhaps) in the soil. My limited wisdom tells me that less wood is better, but I can't back that with facts.<br>

I can get soil as cheap as $13/yd (with wood), or a 'premium mix' for twice that which contains wood but much less.<br>
<br>
What impact will the wood have on the end result? For example, will it absorb the nutrients out of the soil, leaving me with a huge fertilizer bill? Or, perhaps it doesn't matter in the long run.<br>

I plan to hydro-seed, if that matters.<br>

-Karma various importers little success.
-FotonEuroleopard- Tractor Imports (Adrian) QLD, I can't see any law suite problems, Australia is not as litigious as the USA, but other than looking similar to a New Holland I can't see any direct infringments on patents.
Besides as you should all know you can get the Chinese manufacturers to make the tractors any colour you want and with any name you want. So whats the big deal get it in red and call it a "Skanky Hoe"!

Upper? That must be for the folding ROPS then. I just know the ROPS is really tall on the 2210, again taller than the tall ROPS my 755 had.

The 2210 is one heck of a tractor -- a friend and fellow-poster likes to say it has "attitude". I can't imagine a circumstance where it would run out of power. For mowing, the 62C is a great performer. It also comes on and off in mere minutes. The 210 loader (rare now that the 200CX is out) has been documented to lift waaay more than the 620 rated lbs. It also comes on and off in mere minutes. For 3 acres, it should do a fantastic job. Now as for the 4xxx series, I'm not knocking them, bigger is always better...right!

I use calcium loaded tires. The reason for the calcium is that it is so much heavier than other antifreeze solutions. My calcium is at about 15 pounds per gallon. Antifreeze solutions run about 6-7 pounds per gallon.

In addition, for intermediate loads I run a rear blade and can hang some suitcase weights on it as well.

When I want to get maximum FEL capability, I have a backhoe attachment that I put on the tractor. It sticks out further, but it is heavy enough and far enough back that it keeps the rear end solidly on the ground with full capacity loads in the bucket.

My TC45 will work all day with the loader and backhoe on about half a tank or 6-7 gallons. It would use more plowing or other operating using all the engine power.

Years ago I moved off the farm to be an engineer. Now I live back in a more rural setting.

When I was growing up and we needed muscle for heavy lifting or pulling we would immediately go get the tractor. After I moved away, I learned many more labor intensive methods for removing tree stumps and moving heavy objects. (I think that I have rediscovered some of the ways that the ancient Egyptians built the pyramids.)

A few years ago, I got my tractor and I love it, my back loves it, and my wife loves that my back loves it. Now I am back in the mode of getting the tractor for the smallest of jobs that requires heavy lifting or pulling. I think that I will put in my will that I want to be buried with it.

The tree's been out of the ground since early spring. The ball is well weathered, maybe 2.5-3 foot sphere. It did lift a bit better with the brush hog lowwered. Thanks for the feedback.

Oneace, Thanks for the suggestion...I'm at work, but just called my dad to tell him what you said. I was brush hogging some very tall stuff, and possibly one of those wires got loose. I'll let you know...thanks again!
