Mamma Mia!!!! how many reply!!! i'm not uset to get so many ... just in USA this is possible!! thaks to all you!!
So for what i understood the best would be to buy rims and tyre (better agricultural type) respecting the maximun diameter of tire 23" .... do some one have some link where to look for this kind of rims+tire??

I never calculated it, but my TC33D runs a long time on a tank of fuel. Very impressed, especially in these times.

Yeah, those belts should last but you never know. I would like to atleast have the part number or a set of belts so when they do go south.

I have 4 complete and operating JDs to dispose of. They are a 1952 G, 1937 G, 1935 to 1940 H, and a 1941 H. Will you recommend a site where I may find the values of these tractors? I also have a wide front Farmall #FBK144016X7.

As far as I know it is impractical, if not impossible, to drain all the hydraulic cylinders.

The best you can do is to make the cylinders as short as possible so as to have as much oil in the sump as you can when you drain it.

Dave and Dennis, I have fond memories of your area, I live in Pittsburgh now, but remember my grandfather getting a 50's vintage Simplicity serviced at Haver's. We lived in Oldwick, at the top of a hill, we owned dog kennels, which I think the current owners still have? Moved from Oldwick in 1969...

My TC45D had a problem last winter..the powershift switch would not work when it was cold. Once it warmed up, I never gave it another thought, until yesterday, when I can't get it to go into high (Rabbit)range again. The light on the switch works. Does anyone know anything about these?

Hi, Does anyone know where I could buy a lawn dethatcher that I could mount up to the front of my JD 790 ? Anything that could be modified etc. I used to have a smaller JD 420 riding lawn mower with one and it worked great and can't seem to find anything similar for my larger tractor. I've come to the opinion that all the major brands have good machines and the one to buy is the one with the best local dealer support. I'd shop dealer, features, warranty, and price and not get too hung up on brands.

The TZ's have a lot of pluses over some of the other makes like the double width drive belt on the deck like the Kubota mowers use The narrower hood on the BX and it's shorter wheel base make it quite manuverable.

I don't know about the 4200 but my 01 - 4300 had a recall on the hydrolic pick up tube screen. If this is true with yours you might want to check with your dealer about this.

Have you test-driven either of them? Do the controls make sense? Are they harder to steer, unsually loud, and/or uncomfortable to sit in? Do either/both have HST and 4wd?

Ask about warranty. When I got my bx23 last year it had a better warranty than the comparable NH I was looking at.

I test drove both and found the NH much louder when the mower was running. I also had a not-so-good NH dealer, so in the end I went with the kubota.

It pays to look at details, test drive, and ask lots of questions. What looked good in the ad wasn't the same experience to drive, so definitely try them out.

Excellent price, the best I could find in mid-Michigan was $17,633.00 for a gear drive with ag tires. Your price may be for a dealer demo model, so check the hourmeter. About a half hour is normal for a new tractor, more than that, and it is used. Maybe lightly (the dealers around like to give test drives), maybe not. Get the history. If it looks good, snap it up quick!

When we were car shopping we went to the local Toyota dealer to talk to the sales guy. After negotiating the "best" price the salesman was way too high and refused to go lower. We went home and emailed the fleet/internet sales manager at the same dealership who immediately replied with a quote $2900 lower than their other salesman gave us on the same car. We bought from the fleet guy and the regular sales guy was really stewing when we left.
