Thanks for the follow up report. I always like to read about a technique someone has used or about various successes and failures. The people on this board have certainly saved me lots of time and headache!

I might be doing a similar patio project of my own at some point in the near future so I've been following this thread closely to see how other people have done similar work.

It sure sounds like you are loosing charge pressure to the hydro. Don't know how this model is set up, but on most hydro systems the charge pump does double duty by also supplying high pressure oil to the function circuit. If I were to guess (not knowing how this tractor is set up), I would suspect that the priority valve is not functioning correctly and is starving the hydro when the function valve calls for oil. This valve is often built into the end cap on the charge pump.

The deal would include the FEL. There are also dealer installed hooks;bar tires; .

It would seem the new one would cost the same when comparing the true cost of 4.5 % or Kubota financing for free.

I have just read your note on broken rim. I have also experienced the same problem at 900 hours 2 years ago. The rim broke on the right wheel, oil filter side. I too have a loader. Upon inspection I found that the lugnuts had worked loose on both rims.

I have a K&N on my 96 Impala LT1. doesn't do any thing for milage or HP. Save the money. The big kick came with LT4 heads!

I don't have a part number. The part is a PTO actuator. Sent out a letter to the dealer and New Holland today as advised by my lawyer.

Alternates have a 3 phase ac output, running through a 6 diode full wave bridge and a regulator circuit to give you the DC output. You may have a weak diode in the bridge and when it gets hotter than normal it breaks down or stops conducting. If you take out one diode, the red light will come on, but the alternated will still put out about 75% rated output. The easies way to tell is pull the alternator and take it to a locale shop that has a test bench with an O-scope. They load it up and have an answer pretty fast. The bridge is replaceable in most units.

I am getting ready to put in my dam for my pond (partial embankment type). I've measured the water flow during a heavy runoff and found that I was getting about 0.8ft^3/s of water, which coincides with a 6" pipe. I'm overengineering the pipe for safety, and using a 10" pipe which can handle about 4x the flow. <br>

Anyway, I am running the pipe through the dam and into a T that will be anchored in a concrete block. From that T, I will have a stand-pipe for the main drain, and a valve for draining the pond if required.<br>

I am trying to find a valve that will fit at the T inside the pond. The valve should be 6" minimum. I looked at cast gate valves that are used in city water, but they start at $600. I am thinking that an irrigation valve might work, but haven't located one yet. A plastic valve might also work. <br>

I own a L3300GST Kubota tractor and I want to add a front mount blower to it. Does anyone have a photo of a L series tractor similar to mine with the blower attached? What I need more specifically is info on the front drive shaft drive line components and Sub frame assembly. I already own a rear mount blower and I am going to mount it on the front via the loader frame. I have a reduction gear box so all I need is to get the front PTO drive line shaft up to the front of the tractor to power the blower. Some pictures would be really appreciated.

Eagle, you got a helluva good deal. The last time that I priced a 2035 with a factory loader on it it was up around $16,500. and that was last summer. The Great Bend loader is now manufactured by Bush Hog, who bought Great Bend out a couple of years back. You won't find a more reputable implement manufacturer than Bush Hog so parts (if you need any) should be no problem. I am not familiar with Southern as a brand name, although if it is a solidly built unit and if you take care of it and don't mow rocks it's pretty hard to screw up a rotary cutter.

It is interesting that you mentioned that. I have been sketching up just such a trigger circuit that would latch a relay and apply high voltage when the beam is broken. But this has to be done without the high voltage coming back into the sensing electronics and destroying it.

This has become an interesting puzzle. I am trying to make it as simple as possible, but I might try the light beam approach in the future.

I also have some very sensitive microswitches that have a small wire on them. If you touch the wire in any direction, it will trigger the relay circuit. That will probably be the next generation before I resort to light beams or PIR.

I was kicking around some ideas with a friend of mine about this problem and we figured that after we got a good trigger signal from a switch, light beam or whatever, that we could do just about anything after that from closing a trap door to turning on a vacuum cleaner motor.

Well, I've done it. I have an accepted offer on an 80 in northern Wisconsin (closer to where I work). I don't think my little BX is gonna be able to cut the mustard any more.<br>

I found a 1533 w cab in northern alabama and I plan on visiting just to compare and be able to set in the cab to "see and feel" the difference.

I was told by the MF dealer the 1533 was a nicer machine than the Kubota 3430hstc and that the Kubota had more plastic on it and was more of a "value machine". I did the spec comparison and I don't see where MF is the better machine on paper. The Kubota weights almost 700 lbs more and has slightly better hyd GPM as well. The saleman also went on to say the MF had a bigger A/C on it with a more roomey cab.

Towns and counties have been doing it for years. It's called oil and stone. They also use micro pavement and slurry seals. Many state roads are on these programs. The shoulders on I81 thru NY are seal treated in most areas.

The problem is curing time and the ability to get friction materials in the mix.

Public would never stand for the road to shut down like a driveway and after the first rain wreckers would be very busy.
