The toothbar makes an incredible difference when digging. I bought the Markham, but have seen the Woods and they look identical; for ~ $250 it will be one of your favorite attachments when the going gets rough!

Any leaks on the front hubs ? Jack it up and check the front hub bearing for play, might have a bearing or a gear goin out. I've seen the outer or the inner finial drive bearngs go out and the customer keep driving it till the seal started leaking , which was the first he noticed it.

What I do is buy some time release professional style poison from bugspray dot com, mix it with bacon grease, and set it out. The drones take the bait back to the nest and feed it to all the others killing 'em. But this won't happen overnight. Around here bacon grease works well but other food products may work well too.

Denwwod: I have an '03 Ram quad cab short-bed Cummins H.O. 4x4 auto SLT with nearly 40K miles. No trans leaks, but the trans. inspection cover is awfully wet with oil; no other leaks. It's suppose to be "heavy duty" or that's what the badges say. Just got it back from the dealer: all new upper and lower ball joints, new hub and bearings assy's, outer and inner tie rods ends, and steering sector rod end, new front shocks, new complete front driveshaft, new front axle u-joints, and new complete rear drive shaft. All under warranty, but technician agreed I'll be back in another 30K. Told him I was happy to help put his kid through college hahaha. They told me they are seeing other HD's coming in with the same problems (I plow snow and use my truck for 90% commercial work (contracting) pulling heavy trailers so everyone may not see the problems I have had and will continue to have.)

I have a bx1500 and would like to know if somebody could look at their upper radiator bracket. On mine there is an upper bracket on the left side with a rubber isolator but on the right side there is none? There is a spot for one. Wonder if there is supposed to be on the right side. <br>

Maybe so... I know both of my Yanmar 3 bangers have been smooth idlers.

I also noticed that Kubota sets the idle rpm on the RTV at 1400. Same basic engine as the BX23 etc.

If anyone is selling a BX and wants to help me out I would appreacate it. I am looking to add a used loader on my BX2230 and I only need the loader bucket, loader arms and the two stands that bolt to the tractor for the loader arms. I will supply a replacement stand for your machine to mount you valve on that I have and its just like new.<br>

Last winter I purchased a power angle HD snow blade, the quick hitch and the four way valve. This works great! I now want to add a loader for the spring, summer and fall.<br>

Dennis,

I went with the Snow blade for two reasons first because when I was a little kid I used my Dad's Simplicity 2WD and always wished it were 4x4 and had a bit more weight to it, well here it is in this Kubota BX.

Secondly I also figured I would buy the loader later when I have a use for it with the next house when I move. I also thought I could find a used LA211 much easier than a good used blade but its been hard to find and I am still looking.

We currently are in the market for a new Kubota. We currently mow 2 acres, but since we are buying a bigger tractor, we will possibly cut 4 to 6 acres. We received the following quotes from a dealer in Western Pennsylvania (for tractor, FEL, rear mower, industrial tires): $20,840 for the L3130 and $18,800 for the B3030. Do these sound reasonable? Why is there so little difference in price when the L3130 is a such bigger machine? Also, my husband has seen posts where people said they received quotes online. Does anybody have any suggestions on what websites to go to for this? Thanks!

Thanks John, At the moment the glow plug light doesn't light at all. So I'm guessing some relay maybe?

Brokenarrow - yes a solid rear axle swingarm style rear suspension may never be as plush as independant rear suspension, but you can make it better for you by messing with spring preload, spring rates and the shock. Look into what options are available for the machine you want. A new shock can be expensive, but if it means you aren't wiped out after riding for 2 hours and can walk the next day, it is probably worth it.

I'm not getting any younger and can better appreciate spending a bit to get better ride quality.

I have a 4310 with about 25 hours on it. I am having the same problem. The dealer told me before I bought it that the mechanism was junk... But its my only complaint. Otherwise, a great machine.

The jack stands are a must except on a tilt trailer unless you want to use ramps also occasionally.

If using jack stands should they be manual or hydraulic or would that be a matter of preference?

The B3030 sounds like a great fit for what you want. The L-Series is a bit much for mowing a couple acres.

The 2410 was a "Deluxe" series tractor that has been dis-continued. The 2420 and 2710 were replaced by the 2630. The are some important differences between the 2410 and the 7610. The most important is the position control on the 3-pt. The 7610 has the 1/4" valve instead of position control. Between the 7610 and the 2410, get the 2410 if you can still find one.
