I use strips cut from an old car tire inner tube and a couple of links of chains on the ends for hooks as chain tighteners on the chains of my old BOLENS

I'd check to make sure the differential lock worked smooth. I've heard reports of guys riding them with their left foot and causing problems. If they are low hours ie. 300 or less and look good I would'nt worry too much its just broke in good at this many hours. I've worked mine over 200 hours in six months and not had any problems. If I had to do over i'd buy used and save the 2 or 3 thousand. When working the BX23 keep your seat belt on and the rpms up to 2700 or better and it will amaze you at its power.

Depends upon the size of the fenders (if so equipped), and the axle/suspension weight rating. It would be a big help if we knew how big the trailer was, and it's intended use.

I'm thinking of making it 4' wide by 5 or 6 feet long using a 2x4 frame around the out side edges and a 2x4 in the center ran length ways from top to bottom.
Instead of resting the top on fence post I plan on using 2 folding 2x4 legs hinged at the top on each side.

When not in use the legs will fold down and run flat along side the long outside 2x4 frame.

By shrinking the size a little and using only 5 two by fours instead of 9 two by sixes it will greatly reduce the weight making it much easier to handle & far more portable.

The folding legs allow it to be folded into one rectangular shape making it easier to store by simply standing it on edge and leaning it against a wall.

If one were to use treated two by fours it could be stored outside by leaning it against a tree or what ever else may be out there handy.

I live in Mid-Lower Michigan and run a B7810 with a FEL for the summer chores, and switch to a front hydraulic blade for the winter snow. I clear our driveway, about 800', and 1/4 mile road. The front blade is the way to go in the snow unless you run a blower. I plow the drive at the cottage up north with the neighbors rear blade, and there is no comparison in ease and efficiency. The front blade blows away the rear blade. With a little ground speed, the front blade is able to throw the snow 4 to 5 feet to help keep the drifts under control.

The 30hp is just about right for controlling the winter snow with a blade. I wouldn't go with much less. With less HP, you may want to consider a blower.

How do you like your 650? A buddy has a prairie and loves it but has had it back in the shop twice under warrenty in a very short time frame but he say's he still loves it!

Since all the hondas except for the rincon have a straight back axel I think (from your explanation) I am stuck with the ride you get with that form of rear end suspension? I want to stay with honda. My friend has a 500 sportsman. I love the ride it gives, smooth as a babies butt ,but! it has had many mechanical problems way earlier than it should have (imo).

I have a 2002 JD 4710... Tilt steering release lever sticks badly and the gas cap fits loosely in certain weather conditions. Other than that Haven't had any trouble with the tractor... I don't tilt the wheel that often so I haven't bothered to have it fixed...

Dig into your manual, the lift carraige may need to be adjusted if holding the lever does not do it.

Basically I would agree with the '53 being one of the most rare, however, when they moved the assembly plant to Bowling Green they made only a few < 5 that year. I believe it was '82 but could have been '83.

Corvette Fever magazine lists auction prices of corvettes. The really high dollar vettes > $100K are all original with matching numbers and very low miles. Added to that would be those vettes having limited production options.

I have a '93 40th anniversery coupe (check my pictures). I would love to be able to purchase the soon to be released C6, ZO6. This vette comes with 500hp and a higher red line than the standard C6. I believe 0-60mph is less than 4 seconds. Dave

Hi Birch,

I have about the same needs as you...
-105 Acres of wood with trails
-About 3 acres of grass
-Lots of trails that i use with my ATV for logging
-trenching and digging a lot....

I got a B7610 with a B4672 Backhoe. I think this was a good compromise for me, small tractor but good power. The ground clearance is 12.8 inches vs about 6 for the BX23.

Had it for about a week and am still surprise at the power this machine has.

Maybe you want to check them out.

An L-series is a bit big for mowing 2 acres, but as long as the area is wide open and you don't mind a lot of triming it'll work fine. Keep in mind, the mid mount mower on an L-series is a monster. Suggestion: If you think you want the 3130, go for it or you might regret it later. Use the $$$ you would have spent on a mid mount mower on a good rider or a used zero-turn instead.
