I just picked up 1987 full size bronco w/plow from the original owner for 2500.00 to plow my drive. This thing is in great shape. I had to look for 2 years to find one this nice.

Broken I thought I was the only one to pull that one off. My wife also says I don't pick -up the stuff properly. I have not touched a road apple in years. It's funny I have a doctorates degree and graduated Summa Cum Lauda but just could never quit grasp what she was trying to teach me.

Like computers, you usually want to buy as much as you can afford. For the job you described, either will work. Cutting around the house can be cumbersome with a rig that big. My TZ25DA would make short work of everything you described and comes in 3-4k less with all the equipment. If you're going to do a lot of loader work, get the 30...definitely. In any case, go to the dealer to drive and operate the equipment on both so you can feel the hydraulics and the effects of the exact implements on weight and balance.

Which has the better cab comfort etc.. I looked at a Kubota the other day and the cab seemed real nice. I have not found any dealers in my area that stock the MF 1533 W/CAB. <br>

Imatch can certainly make it easy to hook up implements. It works best on flat ground, but it's possible to hitch up and swap implements without getting out of the tractor seat. It doesn't work quite that easy on uneven ground unless you have top-and-tilt hydraulics on your 3-point hitch. Of course you will have to get out to hook up the pto shaft on powered implements. There are aftermarket quick hitches, too, so you don't have to buy JD to get one. The downside to quick hitches is that you have to make sure any implements you buy are compatible. If they aren't they can often be modified to work.

Craig...I couldn't be happier with my TZ. I knew about the ballast issues, but all tractors have them. I was a bit unprepared for the weight of the mower (60" 3PH). The loader and box blade counter each other perfectly. I may spring for the front weights later. I intend to just use the loader as ballast for now. If you've just got light landscaping on an estate-sized lot, the TZ25 is perfect. If you're doing more farm-like work, step up to a larger tractor.

You can use the hoe to break up the soil with the teeth on the bucket will loosen the soil, and you can use the teeth for a gauge then use the FEL to remove the dirt, just keep the FEL level. You�ll be surprised what your BX can do around the house.

I like Murf's idea. We did something similar to that installing main rotor blade pitch change rod bearings. I take it that the machine shop attempt pushing out the injector using a hydraulic press? That puppy must really be stuck if they can't press it out!

yes you must drain the oil to change the filters unless you like to wear hyd. oil. Plus you have to drain the oil to get to the suction screen which should be inspected. The book is incorrect. When you replace the oil, you will find that you will have to add about 9 gallons of Hy Gard so be prepared to catch that much. Change the oil. Why risk the remote possibility of added wear or possible damage to a $20,000 machine over $65 worth of oil?

Hey guys just got my new JD 3120 this morning and have been out playing a bit with it. I got the ehydro and was curious what RPM shoudl i run it at for best fuel efficiency and performance when doing loader work? I was running it at 2600 rpm, is this good? Thanks for the help, prolly with have more ? forth coming.<br>

Sounds like the wheel is rusted tight to the centering hole on the hub. A few good blows with a 3lb. hammer on the tire might break the rust bond. Ernie

Great link Harvey. You can look at that old Case plowing on the first page and think "how cumbersome", but by placing yourself in that era, it must have been to them like the first space flight was to us.<br>

Hiya Broken! Yeah - I think both the neighbor and us are trying to keep things cool - so there have been no major incidents. Only the usual - him staring at us through the woods, etc which we just to ignore. I have no plans get into another battle with him unless he damages something on my property. I'm sure things will get out of hand sometime soon. I am saving your ideas for the next time :)

Great news about your new neighbors. I have great neighbors on all other sides of me. One surprise - the nighbor on my west - always throught they were solid - are possibly getting divorced. This husband comes over the other day and tells me he has to choose between love and his 3 kids (8-12 years old)! I couldn't believe it. Found himself another chicky.

Then I go to meet a new neighbor that moved a few houses down from me. I walk up to the wife - shake her hand - and realize its a girl I once dated before I married my wife!! Don't worry - I am too old for any shenanigans. Oh how its a small world!! :)

I have a KK 5.5' angle frame disk that I use with my 1948 Deere M. With the vintage hydraulic system factory-set at a whopping 750psi, 500 lbs is the maximum I can lift. So, when I purchased a disk, I went as heavy as I could lift which for a disk is pretty light. In hard ground or with a lot of residue cover, results are not impressive. Last summer after I plowed my little wheat field (when the ground was fairly hard and dry) the disk had trouble with the football-sized clods. It would bounce off of them with no effect on the clods (or the disk, which was good). But, after getting a timely rain to soften things up, the disk cut nicely and with two passes the ground was soft and mellow. A few passes with a shop-built spring tooth cultivator with harrow attachment and the seedbed was in nice shape. The moral of the story is that these little disks are really not capable of cutting up heavy residue or hard ground. Where the ground is softer and with little trash, though, they can do a decent job.
