Fellas, I have another question. When I took the flywheel off of the tractor, I didn't mark the location where it cam off. My question is, can I put the flywheel on anywhere or does it have to be on a certain way for timing purposes. Also the new clutch disk that I just got seems tight when I try to slide it over the spline.Is this normal. I checked it with my old clutch and it slid right on, but it did show some wear in the spline hub. It just seems as if it will cause some restriction when I slide the tractor back together. I have a 1991 L2950 with a everclutch (wet clutch)when it's in gear and I push in the clutch the tractor stops like I hit the brake with the clutch still down and I take it out of gear it will roll freely. Do you think I have a bad clutch? Plus I have what looks like 1/8" to 1/4" pieces of something in the hydralic filter.

The excavator was back today to dig up the hydrant. Turns out the plumber who hooked it up did not tighten the fitting all the way.

Dan, you might have a contamination problem from dirt or even water! Filling tanks from five gallon cans sometimes makes it difficult to keep the fuel clean and you might have some water there. Does it smoke and what color if it does?

Seriously consider guage wheels as well. Yes it adds to the cost of the rake, but makes the rake so much more versitile. The 2210 dosent have position control, so you will need something to help the tines glide or skim the surface. Otherwise it will be too aggressive and dig in and probably do more harm than good...

Short answer, nothing is impossible, some things just seem too expensive to be practical.

I guess the real question is "What do you want to accomplish with the blade?" Do you want to move dirt, snow?

I know of several companies that make snow blades, snow blowers and power brooms for the commercial ZTR mowers, I even know a couple people who use them. They beat shovelling, but not by much.

Thanks for the reply. I tend to agree with you that either the wheel had some issue from teh start or it has just had some hard days. I bought the tractor from a family member that ran a tree farm. He took care of the equipment, but was not afraid to take it to and past its limits on occassion. The real test will be to replace teh wheel and run it. I'm just glad I wasn't on a slope when it happened. Thanks again.

I'd expect these comparisons to get pretty tricky.
For instance, does a Woods medium duty rotary cutter
really equate to a Rhino medium duty flail?
I suppose it depends on what you intend to do with the machine.
If you want a machine to cut brush up to the lower limit of the two,
maybe it really does take 30% more power
to do that task with the flail compared to the rotary.
The machine weight would be important, too.
The flail mowers I considered are heavy compared to finish mowers, not quite so heavy compared to brush cutters,
but then I don't know if the flail is usually pulled on its rollers or carried off the ground from the 3ph.

I appreciate all the complements, especially since the exterior is not done yet. Well...the interior is completely new with the exception of the factory installed carpet the lines everything and is glued in place. But realistically, very low hours and it cleaned up like new.<br>

The canvas is new (ouch), but I hired that done. All the components that wear have been replaced or repaired. Pumps, hoses, blowers, wires, batteries (4) as well as all of the electronics. I need a radar arch or tower, have the radar but no place to put it yet.<br>

Best part is, no mortgage payment. But the first mate is already talking about how nice a larger one would be. I told her she would either be heeling over or doing 60 knots in one of Murf's specials. I prefer the heeling, it's free!<br>

Oh...I almost forgot. I spent more hours than I care to remember on my back scraping and sanding. Removed hard bottom paint, sanded, repaired nicks and blemishes, barrier coat (yuk, what a job) and finally VC-17.

It's not clear what you intend to do with the machine. "Ploughing up pasture" implies yo me that you intend to do some cropping? If so you will need a machine bigger than 50hp, if however you just want to bush hog the pasture and "maintain" the woods then a 40 to 50 hp machine would be fine. Please be more specific with your intended use of the land, will you be bailing hay, planting beans etc.

I would go for the idustrial. WE have them. They will not rip up grass while mowing. You get great traction too.

We have a 29d but it seems like you need bigger. I would see you go with a 40d fwa. Make sure you get idustrial tires. good luck, robb
