Hello Raptor,
I hear what you are saying, thinking that I am abusing the tractor, but the truth is, Lenar, knows it has had some major quality issues and they have done alot of restructuring of the tractor and they have some very influential people from Texas that are now monitoring the quality of these tractors. How do I know this??? Well, because of the problems I have had with the 4, that is four different tractors of the same model, they have made it a priority to replace this tractor of mine with a new one. These guys made a trip all the way from Texas to Michigan to look at the tractor and to speak with me face to face. They agreed that the tractor had several defects from the factory and they understood my frustration. Please do not think that what I have done with these tractors was abuse, or too small for the job. The older Lenars have some major issues and trust me, I will post what I think of this new one when they deliver it to me.

1*Just make sure your pipe size is at least as large as the next culvert downstream from yours (assuming it is relatively nearby).
2* 1% is fine for a 15" pipe. You could even flatten it a bit if you need to.
3*Also consider installing 5-10' of medium stone rip-rap at either end
to help keep out silts and sediments.

1*The 15 inch was approved on my permit.
2*I have decided on a 3" drop for each 20 foot culvert thus the lower end of the 100 foot run will be 15 inches lower than the upper end rather than the 12 inches I had originally planed on. The result is a pitch slightly greater than 1 %.
3*The state told me they may do just that in the 75 feet of ditch from the upper end of the culvert to the upper edge of my property line.
This has given me second thoughts about the whole culvert project and makes me wonder if I'm taking on the states responsibility to maintain the road way ditch by installing the 100 feet of culvert!
I have a question about the stone rip-rap - How do I prevent the stone from washing into the culvert in a real gully washer?

My local NH dealer (Frederick MD) sold me the TC33DA for a price within a couple hundred dollars of what Corriher quoted.

True, I could have saved the MD sales tax.
But I do think - even though any NH will do the warranty svc - the dealer relationship is worth something.

For instance, as part of the deal, my local NH sent 2 guys and a truck to haul my broken down 8N out of the woods. Tough job! And when the Cruise Control on the new one wouldn't work, sales rep offered to stop by to trouble shoot/repair on his way home from work, to avoid hauling it back to the shop. In addition, they've been out to my place to see the lay of the land & talk about my needs. Couldn't do all this with a long distance dealer.

Why not buy from Corriher or Tarheel

There is a dealer in North East Indiana that has a TC48DA 4WD, loader with quick attach bucket, grill, arm rests, rear work light, and scraper box with only 35 HOURS on it for $21,900. I suspect they might cut you a deal and take enough off so you could buy a rear finish mower. It is at Topeka New Holland Phone 260-593-2345. Ask for Carroll, Ralph or Shad. Hopes this helps.

but if your have a tractor in your mind then get 30 hp no matter what brand this is a compact standard<br>

My recommendation is a medium-frame tractor for what you are doing. You can find very nice slightly used ones for about the same price as a new small framed one. That being said, I purchased a 4410 with 87 hours on it through a dealer last year for $15,200. It came with hydro, 4x4 (standard on 4410s), folding ROPS, Power Beyond, and a 72"mmm (turfs also...my primary mower, does a great job). Even though the tractor alone weighs 2900 pounds, I have found it to be somewhat light at times while digging with the 300cx loader...but I don't have a ballast box yet...small "bites." I personally wouldn't have been satisfied with smaller frame since using the larger one. The medium framed tractors have many more features plus the capabilities to do much more work...I tried out both prior to my purchase and have been very pleased with my decision.

I had the icynene insulation system installed in my home about one year ago. I installed a 1500 sq ft addition to my 1500 square foot home. I framed the new walls with 2" x 6" studs, Removed the plaster on existing exterior walls and had real 2' x 4" studs. The icynene was applied to 5 1/2" deep on new portion of the home and 4" on existing portion of the home. The 2 x 12 roof rafters cavities were sprayed to about 8 to 10 inches thick, my vented soffits were in effect sealed shut and it was applied direct to underside of roof sheathing. The basement and crawlspace was sprayed to about 6 to 8 inches.

Well as i said a full heating season has passed since the insulation was applied. My heating bill this season is $400 dollars less than last year but last year I was only heating 1500 sg ft this year I heated 3000 sq ft (same boiler).

The unfinished attic approx 1500 sq ft remains only about 4 degrees cooler than the rest of the home, that was a real valued Bonus.

I own a construction co. in New York City and my home is on Long Island NY. I really rec"d this product. As far as the shingle lifespan being shortened I am not really concerned, try walking on a roof on a 90 degree day, the roof will stick to your shoes I don't think a couple degrees warmer is going to change the lifespan, as far as warranty goes it is alot warmer in Las Vegas than where I
am so I'm sure something could be resolved. But I never had to replace any roof for warrenty and I don't think I'll have to now. I believe this product has been around for 20 years.
It is important to vent baths and cooking areas though.
I would rec'd this product.

I'm trying to decide whether to get a 3pt spreader for my tractor or one that mounts on an ATV.<br>
I need to spread lime and then grass seed over a total area of 12-14 acres. Most of it is open and no problem for the tractor. I do have a few areas where the ATV would be the only way to go.<br>

I Recently Boght B7100 tractior on Ebay. It ran ok But is blowing presure out of the breather vent. Suspect blown Head Gasket! How Difficult is it to do this repair? I have a reasonally good mecanical ability. I have no repair manual. Need to know torque sequence & ftlb setting. And Valve settings, And any other info I will need to make this job easier to. Sincerely Bobb327

Thanks for the advice Kyvette - all has been quiet for a couple of days. I spoke with a second attorney here who said the best course of action may be to do nothing for the moment. Let this guy have his little victory - there is no serious monetary damage here (yet). I will, when I get a chance, ask the police to document their visits.

It is too soon for me to bake a cake. Maybe in the future. There could be more than meets the eye in terms of why these neighbors don't want me too close to their house.

I have a home fabricated splitter with a 3-1/2" cylinder with 18" stroke. Nothing has come close to stopping it...yet. The consideration when using tractor hydraulics is the amount of fluid needed to stroke the cylinder. Even after the cylinder is charged, it uses considerably more fluid to stroke out than what it stores in the retracted position. For some tractors, the fluid requirements limit the bore and/or stroke cylinder the tractor can accomodate without starving it of fluid. Check your tractor fluid capacity and make sure you have the fluid to properly stroke the cylinder without starving the system. A 3-1/2" cylinder at 2100psi will produce 10tons of splitting power.

Can't comment on your pricing since it seems prices vary ALOT region/region or between dealers. I got my bx23 late last spring w/MMM, PostHole digger setup, and bar-tires for about the same ballpark price at 0% financing.

No idea what the snowblower costs; I remove my snow with my FEL and a rear blade.

I don't regret getting the bx23 at all. It's small but powerful, manuerverable, and reliable. I have no idea why whenver the topic of buying a new bx23 comes up, someone always chimes in "they're not big enough".

I'm on 15 acres. I use it for weekly mowing, snow removal, gravel drive maintenance, moving dirt, cleaning horse pastures, landscaping, clearing forest, installing underground water/electric lines, removing stumps, installing acres of horse fence, and pretty anything else you can think of. It's the greatest thing since sliced bread... all in a compact size that I can park in my normal-size garage or that I can slip between my orchard trees for mowing.

You may have experienced a problem with a sticking spool valve on the loader, not uncommon.

Hi 57210788,

I am a Noriker Dealer near Ottawa Ontario ( a little closer to you than BC )

Our Models are very similar to the TM models, with the exception of some cold weather and other optional equipment which are sold as standard equipment on our Noriker Models.

The models I carry are DFAM Manufactured Tractors.

You will notice right away the difference in the model numbers as TM seems to name according to gross HP and we name according to Net HP.

It looks like the next year models of TM will follow our lead in the naming convention.

Hi Mark,

I am a Noriker Dealer in Ontario. We now have the R4 tires available for our clients. I would imagine that TM and Bulldog would also have them available.

The DFAM products are very good units. They are not fancy, no cup holders etc. but do the job well.

One of the PHD manufacturers, I believe it's Woods, makes a nifty stand.

It's just a large V-shapped tube frame, the apex (point) of the V attaches to the gear box and the 'legs' then come forwards and down towards the ground near the wheels. At the point where the 'legs' pass under the lower links of the 3pth, there are 'cups' or 'saddles' on top of the 'legs'. You connect the V to the gear box with a couple of big threaded knobs, then just lower the PHD until the lower links touch the cups on the legs, unhitch and you're done. It basically forms the PHD into a rigid tripod.

It doesn't allow you to move the unit around after it's set down, but it is solid as a rock and at the exact spot needed to re-hitch it to the tractor, also no part of the PHD except the tip of the auger is sitting on the ground when it's parked either.
