Problem Solved. I want to thank all of you that responded.When you are out in the country by yourself this forum makes you feel like you have a team with you full of suggestions.

I received an email from a member of this forum. He suggested.
"Take the Front Loader out of the loop by connecting the two hoses back together without the quick connects. I have seen those quick connects malfunction and the engine pump just has no place to send the oil. This will make the engine turn very slowly."
I did, it and it started as soon as I touched the key. Put the hoses back and it still starts.

Hi Mark,

I am a Noriker Dealer in Ontario. We now have the R4 tires available for our clients. I would imagine that TM and Bulldog would also have them available.

The DFAM products are very good units. They are not fancy, no cup holders etc. but do the job well.

One of the PHD manufacturers, I believe it's Woods, makes a nifty stand.

It's just a large V-shapped tube frame, the apex (point) of the V attaches to the gear box and the 'legs' then come forwards and down towards the ground near the wheels. At the point where the 'legs' pass under the lower links of the 3pth, there are 'cups' or 'saddles' on top of the 'legs'. You connect the V to the gear box with a couple of big threaded knobs, then just lower the PHD until the lower links touch the cups on the legs, unhitch and you're done. It basically forms the PHD into a rigid tripod.

It doesn't allow you to move the unit around after it's set down, but it is solid as a rock and at the exact spot needed to re-hitch it to the tractor, also no part of the PHD except the tip of the auger is sitting on the ground when it's parked either.

So far we have had to do nothing to the Bombi's except routine maintenance, oil, tires, etc., not even a warranty repair.

To be fair though, the oldest Bomb i is still half the age of the oldest Honda which is still untouched also.

Bear in mind too, our units lead a hard, commercial life, if they stand up to what we do to them, they will last an 'average' user a lifetime.

Generally speaking, you need about 5hp per foot of mower.

That however is so that you are not running at the very edge of it's capabilities and that you can handle a range of conditions, hills, heavy grass, etc.

If you are cutting flat land with a finish mower only, i.e. no bush-hogging 3' high stuff, then I would think you will be OK with a 72" mower on a 20hp machine.

IMHO however, I think you will be happier with a slightly larger, good used machine instead.

Tractors are like boats, no matter how big a unit you buy, you're soon thinking you should have gotten one just a little bigger.

Hi, I also live in Northeast Ohio. My thoughts on the pricing would be to check the prices from internet dealer and see how they compare to your local dealers prices. When I was shopping for my TC33D two years ago I was able to use this information in my search and found a couple of dealers who offered me the same price, of course I had to pay Ohio sales tax for the local tractor. I don't use my tractor to mow but from the sound of things you intend on using yours do a lot of yard work so possibly the lightest tractor with the turf tires would be a good choice. I have R-4's on mine and when going in the yard I leave some marks unless the ground is really firm although some of that could be caused by having 300# of rear wheel weights. It was mentioned on another forum that in the Class I Boomers [35,40,45] the same amount of power was being transmitted to the ground by the hydro no matter which model you owned so if that is the case with the Class II's the only thing you gain is pto hp by going to a higher hp model. I have pulled logs out of the woods with my tractor and a friend of mine has doen the same with his 1720 I believe which is a 26 hp. I've rambled on long enough so good luck with your search.

Thanks for the feedback. I have been out of state since I posted earlier in the week. My tractor does have the anti sway bars with the turnbuckle. I will try to adjust them tomorrow. I visited a friend in Vancouver, WA yesterday. He has a NH TC 45 that has sway bars with the pins for adjustment rather the turnbuckles. Must be a feature of the bigger tractors.

I've removed all housing bolts and have attepted to remove the housing but something seems stuck. I have loosened the brake band and all exterior connections. It has been sitting out idle for 6 months and rusting is an issue. I cannot locate a manual anywhere that is free that i can see what it looks like inside. Any advice would be appreciated.

It is a one owner and has a 38'' MMM.<br>
It has always been garage kept and well maintained.<br>
It is in excellent to nearly mint condition and has seen very little use.<br>
All the man did with it was to use it occasionally to mow his yard. <br>

This is all original and has not been restored rebuilt or redone.<br>

I am trying to workout which machine to buy, the GC2300 or the Kubota BX2230. <br>
I have seen and driven the BX2230, but have only read about the GC2300 as no dealers have stock! You can get them by order only.<br>

dave is right here in NH ,PSNH wants both primary and secondarys at least to the meter to be in pipe. I believe CMP in Maine is the same. Most uttillitys have someone that will work with you and design a system for you ussally at no cost. Now as for pipe or direct buried I would go pipe because in 20 years as an electrician I have fixed dozens of direct buried lines that have chafted on rocks with the frost. Only 1 in pipe and only because the guy forgot it was there in his own yard in which he had installed himself.

If you are planning on building one do youself a favor and do more research. While this info may work in some regions where wood is easily split and has no knots, it would only be an exercise in frustration around my region. I am not aware of any brand, even the lousy ones that use a 3" cylinder, and 4" is considered a minimum. Also I have never seen one commercially produced with only an 18" stroke. 24 inch seems standard. These are just the things I noticed in the 30 seconds I read it, there may be other issues with the design.

Tiles will get get rid of water but not mud. if you put a tile in let the mud dry. if that don't work get some concrete clumps or lay there and let it dry. then next time it rains it'll hold the soil together.

i think a tiller would work better because it brings new soil up and mixes it with the old. the only bad thing is grass might get tangled in it but it saves 2 steps.good luck.

we run 29hp boomer which works fine for those jobs so i'd maybe get a 4210.i would also suggest the r4's. i would also say thats a low prise.

If you are concerned about keeping the record straight be sure your video system records any police visits and have any officer present sign and write down his badge number on a 'visitor log' of your own.

It may be enough to rattle a few chains.
