My 4300 does that foggy crap too and here I thought it was my problem with too much humidity, but none of my older stuff ever does it. Now I know it is like all the other glitches, an American lack of R&D like usual.

Thanks, bvance, but that won't work. It takes me an hour to drive to Vancouver now. Do you know of any good banks in the Hillsboro, Oregon area? I was thinking of trying Bank of the West since they are only 25 minutes away.

dklopfenstein, on the one hand you say "It's called the food chain," then you say, "If there is no season, are they ever out of season?" Which is it? I believe that pets should be under control also. I'm a dog man myself (Love retrievers) but if anyone ever harmed something of mine, dog or cat, without damn good reason they'd be needing a lot more than a .22.

ncrunch32.......be VERY thankful you don't have neighbors like mine.......if you call them neighbors. I am on a bit larger piece of land and spent about 4 days posting the piece I live on now, and closing up cut fences. Some of the "nice folks" (and I use that term VERY lightly) necessitate that I wear body armor and carry an M-3 Super 90 and a CZ-75 30 rounds each. Don't get me wrong as I have some VERY nice and hospitable neighbors but their are some "neighbors" who like to poach and grow pretty green plants to smoke, not to mention ride their ATV's as well as dump trash on my property.

I have a Kubota 4310 and have never had a problem with the tractor, but recently I noticed the glow plug light on the dash stays on after the tractor is cranked, and once or twice the light has come on while the tractor running, but it goes out after a while. anyone had this happen or any idea of the cause or cure for this.<br>

I've got a Stihl 12 foot pole saw. Can't remember the model number, but it's an awesome unit. I highly recommend the support harness if you're gonna use it for any length of time.

I have mentioned problems with battery outgassing and instrument panel fogging on my JD. Others have reported problems with transmission servo calibration and exposed wiring harnesses causing hydro failure on theirs. I don't think there's a conspiracy of silence. No machine is perfect. What I have noticed is that problems with brands seem to be reported in clusters. There might be a series of complaints about orange problems, then a bunch about green problems, then a bunch about blue. Can't figure that out.

Dont sell yourself short and cheap out on the 2wd. Sure you may not have snow issues but IMO snow is the least of your worries when your talking 4wd. You mentioned sand and sloppy conditions??? Sounds like a perfect candidate for 4wd. I started out looking at 2wd rigs. Was looking at a 55hp 2wd for the same money as my 40hp 4wd. I was told by many folks especially my logging buddys NOT to cheap out and to get 4wd hands down! As it turns out, I would of been burried atleast 5 times last year with out it. It only will take ONE time you get her stuck and you will be kicking yourself. This is not a road truck that need 4wd on ocasion, you are in the muck and the muc and the sand often year round. Buy yourself the 4 wd. Just my 2cents worth.

Both are good, reliable tractors. Unless you step-up to the L series Kubota, you will be disappointed because there is plenty of HP on the 7800 but it is a small framed tractor...unless it is going to be mowing your yard as well. If you plan on taking the loader on and off very often, JD's new 300cx loader is a great companion to the 4310 or 4410. I just bought mine a couple of weeks ago and can put in on/off in 3 to 4 minutes...Kubota won't be able to do that. 4210/4310/4410 has lots comfort features (and weight) that the B7800 doesn't have. Test drive them...then take the green one home.

With the new series out, there will be plenty of people trading in their used 4000 series tractors. I knew how reliable those have been so I bought a used 4410 (87 hours) with 72" mmm for $15,200...no problems and really enjoy using it. It is still under factory warranty as well. There plenty of used, low hour tractors out there...if you are patient and particular, you will find an almost new JD pretty quickly. I agree...stay away from the 4210 (good tractor but a little light in the hp) and get a 4310 or 4410. Same weight, but more power and they have a few better features as well. Good luck...stick with green.

Looking forward to seeing some pics. I did not chime in on the price conversation beacuse I bought mine on a employee purchase plan price format. I would of been nothing but thorn in your side if I told you what I paid.
Anyway good luck and congrats on your new tractor, from what I hear if your situation dictates super steer, your going to LOVE its turning abilities. I am waiting for the next generation CUT with 4 wheel steering ability. Now that is something I would be interested in for manuvering around in the woods with.

Do these prices seem reasonable

I just recently purchased a YM2000 and I am having the same problem with the overheating. It is almost like clockwork at almost exactly 10 minutes running time.
I took the radiator in and had it cleaned, replaced the cap and flushed the engine but nothing seems to work.
What am I missing here?

Broadcast that seed and dont worry about spacing. I have 2 suggestions. Forget sweet corn! If you have any coons around at all they will devestate an acre or two in no time flat when it becomes ripe. Go with your standard round up ready corn. After it germinates and gets about 3-4" tall drive thru the plot (In a straight line ) with your quad or tractor and spray that sucker with 41% glysophate, (dont buy round up by a generic form of the round up). Now your weeds are controlled, you have less competition since you drove and made rows with your tractor, and you will have thr est of the weekend to do what you want instead of picking seedlings
Good luck. PS If that corn fails, plant a brassica mix on Aug. 1 or winter wheat at the end of Aug. That will be your escape route if your corn does not work out for you.

I have a set of JD 750 compact rear ag tires and wheels for sale. they are factory original 9.5-24 firestone AG tires on 7x24 John Deere wheels. The tires are 85-90% worn, the wheels are in good condition with only minor surface rust in a few places and no dents. Asking price is $250.<br>

I replaced these tires with 12.4-24's on 10x24 wheels, I have a friend that works for a Deere dealer and they had the 12.4's that were take offs from a tractor they sold and had to put turf tires on it. I had to buy new center disks to fit my 750. The 12.4's barely fit under the fenders with the tires set all the way out.

My wife say's I am afraid of color! This week we went out and bought red and orange (It was supposed to be a light brown but the wife insisted on it) Turned out to be orange (she did not like it iether. Anyway, The Red was a failure, the primer I used was too dark and it made the red a different hue than what was wanted. (I only painted about 7'x8' to see if it was what we wanted. Then I went out and bought a brownish tan. We liked it but I thought it was TOOOO dark for the kitchen living room combo (like she wanted) A accent color of red on all inside walls and the outside (inside) walls and ceiling that brown. I painted a few test sections maybe 6'x6'. LOL The more I look at it the more I KNOW it is too dark (even after buying 5 gallons of the crap brown.) BTW Its my wifes birthday today, so I am giving her a present when she gets home from work! WHITE walls!!! LMAO Just got done priming the colors back too white and am off to get some wall and ceiling WHITE. I will use that brown on her bedroom if she wants (Thats where it should be dark) I dont care how much trouble I get into with her, I WILL NOT paint this house. I am tired and to top it off I dont like color! AM I walking down the garden path? I figure if she wants color I will tell her to buy some new curtains or anything else but I want my living room and kitchen good ole dependable WHITE.<br>
Looks like I found my NEW color for the drywall in my garage. I figure after I use 2 gallons on her bedroom I will still have atleast three more left for the garage. HEY! cant let over a hundred bucks in paint and primer go to waist ya know! <br>
