To adjust the OPSU, first disconnect the wire from the sending unit center post. Loosen the lock nut behind the sending unit enough so you can rotate the OPSU right and left. Reconnect the wire, turn the ignition key ON. Do NOT start the engine. Rotate the OPSU right and left, and observe the resultant movement of the oil pressure needle. Adjust OPSU so needle is on zero. Turn off ignition, tighten OPSU lock nut.

OE is three pieces:
1. M12x1.25x30 stud
2. M12 (lock) washer
3. M12x1.25 nut
But I suppose you could replace the stud/nut with a M12x1.25x35 bolt

I have the OE Jinma part numbers if you want them

Thanks Murf, thought I had lost another piece of my mind. What about the TX drive shaft. If the clutch dis-engages the drive sgaft, could it still be siezed on the PTO shaft. I'm surprised it could be siezed, I used the tractor all winter for plowing, but didn't use the pto at all. Would clutching while pedalling the hydrostat tell me anything. Thanks again.

You wouldn't call this a "L cheap O". In 1988 I purchased a Ford yard tractor with a 48" deck, 16hp Briggs engine and HST. I paid $3000 for it and sold it last spring for $350. It mowed two acres for those 17 years plus a couple of neighbors yards.

Matt, many times I've one over this with people and I know that size is of concern but sometimes it isn't. The BX carries the same deck width as it's larger brothers the B-75-7610. Weight is near identical and the only major difference is the tires and attachments like the loader which will give you more height and lift capacity but not enough to load trucks either! For a the price of the BX-23 you could have two sets of tires the turfs and ag style for three hundred more for excavating. The woods would be tough for any tractor if much is to be done more then cutting and hauling some of it. The springs could be developed with the backhoe and flower beds can be adjusted quickly to.

This isn't the answer you were looking for but last summer I saw a Gator pushing a three gang reel type mower on a golf course. I did'nt see it close enough to tell if it was a home made or a store bought unit. Frank.

A local NH dealer sells IMC Box Blades for CUTS. The 4' is $425 and the 5' is $525. <br>

Thats a cool memory! My biggest problem with the old tractor I own was that it only ran when IT wanted to. Never could explain it, sometimes it was just a cleaning of the glass bowl, other times it was a tear down of the carb and rebuild it, cracked rubber lines one time, water in the fluids (good thing I checked that time) Never fail, it seemed like there was always something going on with it and it was always when I needed it to run! Other times it would start and run just fine, usually when it was too wet or too cold to do any work with the darn thing though. That is the main reason I bought the new tractor. I took the old one home feb 2004 to clean her up and fix all that was wrong (or could go wrong) As things happen, sometimes I never did finish it completely, and I lost all ambition to connect the tank and the fenders (front)tighten up the steering sectors and try her out. Just dont really have the drive to spend a day or so on it. mean while it is taking up about 10'x15' in the back of my garage down home here. Someday I will finish it up, I think it may take just a bit more time before the ambition sets back in.

I got mine in August of '03. Right or wrong, I use Ebay as a "guage" of how prevalent they might be in the used market. I think it's really only in the last six months that I've seen them starting to show up there, and oftentimes they're being sold by dealers. Short answer, I would GUESS there's still not a whole lot of 'em in the used market, but that might vary by region. Good luck in your search!

One thing that bothers me is the nuts are metal lock nuts<br>
and while tightening them to 70 foot pounds it seemed some holding torque was lost to the resistance of the lock nut. I greased the treads on the end of the spline to reduce as much friction as possible, but there was still a noticable amount of drag due to the lock nut.<br>
Because of the lock nut, I know the blade won't come off due to under torqueing, but I'm not sure if the nut offers enough resistance to keep the blade from braking loose from normal cutting operations. I quess I'll find out, if it ever stops raining and I can start mowing. <br>

Sorry for the belated reply but I just joined this forum. I own a boarding stable with 50 horses. As far as 24D, I love the stuff. However a vet told me to keep the horses off for a couple days after spraying. She said it changes the way the weeds taste and the horses may start eatting some of them, even if the are noxious.
On to your weed problem. Horses are the worst grazers around. They prefer new grasses and leave every thing else. Get a couple of sheep or goats as they prefer the broadleaf weeds over grasses.

Let me start with the problem: I have fuel dripping from the overflow or breather of the injector housing.<br>
The question: Is the entire Injector bad or a bad (seal/gasket between the injector) delivery pump? I've talked with Chip and he has either available but I don't want to buy the entire injector if I only need the delivery pump.<br>

The tractor runs good and this doesn't effect its operation, it's annoying and I want to get it fixed. Thanks to all expecially Chip and Harry G.

The 3 dealers I've tried to do business with were in Wausau, Marshfield and Stevens Point. I drove one of the CRD's from a dealer in Eau Claire, which is also where the two "acquaintances" I know got theirs from. This dealer also has the Dodge brand, so they know the value of the diesel customers (we're a strange lot. ;P).

There are a lot of companies that make excellent box blades for mantaining a road. If you think that you may want to take on some future projects like small landscaping and dirt work, Bush Hog makes a handy blade for this work. Getting one that is wide enough to cut out your tire tracks is a good idea. We have been using a roll over 72" box blade that Bush Hog makes for the last 5 years and found it to be a real time saver. We will have to agree that we are probably a little on the lazy side and we do not like having to unseat from the machine to adjust the scarifiers. The roll over model has a simple trip lever that allows you to change the blade positions to what ever the application without leaving the tractor seat. We use this blade on a JD 990 w/ FEL to do part time landscape work and found it to be a real time saver. The Bush Hog 72" weighs in at around 700 # but I think that it is also made in the 60"width depending on the size of your machine. These blades tend to be a bit pricey but would not take for this one. Good luck on your selection.
