I have never seen any heavy square tubing in the scrap yard. Mine came from a previous project that never got completed and I did buy it new but before the prices were high. I just lucked out having it on hand.

I bought a Yanmar tiller off e-bay and am waiting for it to show up here. After buying it (of course) I got concerned about the PTO direction. It seems that I read somewhere that the PTO direction on some of the Kubota tillers (the older ones) were opposite of standard. Does anyone know this to be true and what about the Yanmar tillers? Are they pretty decent? This one looked good but you know what they say about looks. I just want to make sure it'll work with my 855.<br>

Looking at a slightly used JD 2210. I think it's a 2003 model. The dealer here in Illinois wants $11500. The machine is like new, with 55 hours, FEL and 62" MMM. Can anyone tell me if this is a fair price? Also, anyone have any testimonials on this machine. It looks tough, but it isn't real big. I just built a house, and have plenty of landscaping to do. Can this machine handle moving trees and rocks around? Keeping in mind my main job is mowing about 2-1/2 acres.

Been looking at several used Kubota tractors for my 5 acre parcel. Decided I need a bucket to do some landscaping, and a mower deck. Here in Illinois, prices seem a little higher than I've seen on the message boards. Any input there? Looking at a B2150 with 950 hours, loader and 60" belly mower. I'd say very good condition, but not like new due to some paint wear on bucket and deck. The dealer says $10,500 is as low as he will go. Any advice? Also, how does this machine stack up against a B7100? JD755?

To a certain extent I agree, animal owners, also parents, must be accountable for the actions of their little ones, be they 4 legged or 2.

Certainly in this case, the dog, and owner, had a bad track record, and there certainly should be some accounting made of it.

Likewise, owners of animals that run at large by the will or carelessnes of the owner, should have little or no recourse if some harm comes to them, but still bear the responsibility of any damages.

Here in Ontario for instance, there is case law that makes an animals owners responsible if the animal is allowed to run at large and causes an automible accident or the damage to the vehicle even if it gets hit.

Several cat owners have had a nasty surprise when insurance companies came looking for the money they paid out on a claim.

I was wondering if anyone out there knows of a replacement for the injectors on a Honda 6522 tractor ? The engine is a Honda GD1250, the pump is a Bosch PFR-3KX, and the injectors are listed as KBDL II-P. The stealer wants $150/Each for these. I am hoping maybe Napa has a replacement, or someone else out there knows a suitable replacment. Thanks in advance.

Save your time and effort. Sometimes a company is better to cut its losses at the cord. Not all folks are going to be happy and some will really have problems with a machine no matter what they buy. After a problem occurs and it is not handled the way they want, nothing will rectify the feelings. I hope he finds peace with orange or green. Many folks are happy with their tractors. I am! I personelly dont like hearing someone call my rig a piece of junk nor do I like him ripping on a fine company (from the standpoint of making a nice machine anyway) There is no reason to argue or question his dislike for the rig. I dont see any pictures of his tractor, so for all we know he already has green and is just stirring the pot. Weather or not that is the case, I guess it doent matter. he will never buy blue again nor will he recomend it to anyone so the door is shut on this case already.
I could go on and on about how I am unhappy about New Holland having a recall on my tractor and not providing free pick up and drop off. It was their fault to begin with right? Why should I have to drive my tractor to the dealer! New Holland should? Right??? NOT, Thats just not the way it works. When buying a tractor most know the ball game going in. If you buy a long way from your dealer you can't expect to get the same service than from your neighbor unless you truck it there. A dealer that has a mechanical bay or two (just like with cars) sometimes makes or breaks the dealership. (In my mind anyway)
C Todd, sorry to hear you have not been happy, asap sell your tractor and buy one that will let you rest at night. Its not worth you losing sleep over or getting stressed out over a piece of garbage.

I own a 4310 hyd 4 wheel drive and i have a 60" mid mower with 430 loader. Looking to trade for a 3320 mine has 390 hours but looks about 95% new.I just got a price today for the 3320 with 60" mid mower and 300cx loader for 23,800 with turff tires rear hyd outlets. Dealer wants my tractor loader and mower and wants 10,800 to trade...that is giving me 13,000 for mine.I think my loader will work on the 3320 tractor but dealer says it will not. I have seen the new loader on a 790.Any thoughts on this please get back with me.

4720 fuel filter started leaking fuel and couldn't be tightened up to stop it. New filter all OK.<br>

It was leaking at the water drain cock. Is this meant as a bypass for a clogged filter? Seems far fetched, but you never know.

They are not really lubricated they are just partially submersed in the hyd. fluid.

it has 974 hrs and a single remote valve it is a nice tractor and has a very friendly design to the platform and seating area very similiar to the new holland tractors.

I have used the FEL many times to get out on other tractors. This one does not seem to help much, only get in the way since my tractor movement is faster than the FEL assist. Of coarse I have never gotten to a point where I could not move the tractor under its own traction. I usually hit the bottom right before I get high centered. It just takes some much running back and forth until I can basically jump it back out on top. Then I'll leave some nasty 50 yd ruts. Which I am now paying for everytime mow. In most cases I would not have mowed in those conditions but I had to get some loblolly seedlings in the ground before too late. I will probably run w/o the FEL, from now on if it is that wet. I will just take my sportsman out root'n instead .Anyway Thanks for your input.

There are a few pros and cons to each. Although I would usually lean towards the plow for soil preparation, they do leave the ground somewhat uneven with a number of ridges and furrows. Several diskings and harrowings will minimize this, but the uneveness will still be noticable. (This brings up the point that the moldboard plow is never used by itself; it must be followed by an implement to break down the clumps like a disk or tiller run shallowly.) A person could probably use a box scraper to level the gound out but that would be a lot of work and would cause compaction in your new seedbed.

Tillers do not leave the ground uneven but they do have the tendency to leave the soil too loose and broken down. This causes it to dry out rapidly and also the crust over worse after a hard rain.

Another tillage option would be to break up the ground with a chisel, disk it well, then harrow it smooth for planting. A chisel plow could be assembled for low cost with a toolbar with any number of shanks on it. Here again the job will require multiple implements (but all reasonably priced) and passes over the field.
