Based on your question, I am assuming that this model doesn't have position control. If not, does it have an adjustable linkage of some kind from the rockshaft to the control lever? I know that some tractors without position control are equipped with this type of linkage. If your tractor has this, you could adjust the linkage to return the contol lever to neutral when the desired hitch height is reached.

I have been keeping my eye on a DK65S for the ranch. Word has it that Kioti may come out with a DK80 next year. That is the exact size and hp machine I am looking for. I recently priced out a DK65S with a FEL, 8 ft. cutter, and PHD for about $35,000. That is not bad at all for what you get. The DK65 uses the Perkins 3 cylinder diesel which is even better.

Have you got access to or can you borrow or rent an engine "cherry picker". You could lift it up with a chain and drive the truck out from underneath. You might be able to do that with your FEL but I think that would be taking a bit of a chance.

No, they are tubeless pneumatic tires. Stiff and rigid and dried elephant skins.

I have a B1550 with the RC54-B deck. I am missing a complete front deck wheel assembly. What it consists of is the shaft, axle and wheel, basically what comes off when you remove the pin.<br>
I know the same piece is used in the RC60-B and RC72-B decks. <br>
Anyone got one for sale or know where I can get one?<br>

I ran dialup for many years. Then a coworker mentioned the local phone company had DSL via the regular phones lines. I thought no way for me since I'm in the boonies. Well, they did and now I'm at 512k.

Check around and see what's available. But dialup is not the end of the world.

PS - congrats on finishing school. I finished up another degree back in December so I know what it's like. School and working full time sucks. But I'm glad I did. It's hard to go back, but I think you get more out of it when you are older. You have a better sense of reality and purpose.

I would certain hope John Deere addressed this issue but in suspect your tires and rims are very similar if not exactly like the one's on my 4410. Switching the rims around is not worth the effort. It only gains you about an extra half inch in my machine.

I need to sell my two-year old Kioti LK3054 w/62 hours on it, due to health reasons (not a fire sale). It comes with a custom-build 7.5 Meyer Plow, FEL, hitch and optional 4' PTO Driven Log Splitter. Any ideas for a selling price. <br>

That brings up another things to throw in the mix.

My BX had the sway chains mounted inside the arms. So when the pins faced out the arms were pulled in toward the frame.

My 4110 and 4115 have the sway chains on the OUTSIDE. So when the pins are also facing out the pressure pushes outward on the lynch pins.

So Harvey's observations should consider the basic design of tractor.

Not sure on yours but my little JD has a sight glass if the front end is up or down 1-2" I'm either over full or low.

When BH is on the rear of tractor squats and is over full when off it raises up and is low.

The sight glass used to drive me nuts. Now if I see oil ok if I don't I curl the bucket down raise the front 1-2" usually that is all it needs to see oil.

Tractor is so picky that it has to sit same level each time 3ph same position same air pressure... it's a PITA. Oil on the dip stick/sight glass is good go for it. A little over a little low check it again a week from now.

Buy the membership.... it will pay back many times over.

Consider the front blade as a lower cost alternative to the blower. In terms counter-weight, or ballast, a pile of bricks on a $90 set of carry-all forks will do the job too.

I changed the hydro fluid today & cleaned the filter but nothing changed. A question - should the differential have 20W-30 oil in it instead of UDT hydro fluid? I put in the UDT as I thought the whole system used it, but I now think there should be regular oil in the differential. I DID put UDT in the hydro resivoir tank.

I checked the idler - you pegged it dead on. The plastic pulley is extremely worn out AND the tensioner pivot shaft is frozen! I freed up the tensioner, polished, cleaned & oiled it well. Now I have to obtain a new pulley & I hope this will get it 100%.

Any comments you can provide on the differential oil would be greatly appreciated, and much thanks for your dead on diagnosis!

Jim, The Wallenstein seems to be a very good machine, My neighbor has one and uses it on a JD 4510 (33pto hp) and chips up too 6" but IMO anything over 2" is firewood. I agree with the other posters, chipping old wood will dull your blades & choke you up.

PUMP DID NOT ARRIVE TILL FRIDAY. IT TOOK 2 HOURS TO REMOVE THE OLD ONE AND INSTALL NEW ONE. BINGO IT FIRED RIGHT UP. IT TOOK A FEW MIN. MORE TO ROTATE THE PUMP AND GET THE TIMING JUST RIGHT. CANT WAITE TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE OLD ONE.

The 7' would be wide enough that is for sure but a well built 6' would be my choice.

That model tractor only used a 7-1/2' hoe not a 9' although it might go on that model was used on 2850's and larger.
