Just had a new Gator TX delivered yesterday equippped with power dump lift, receiver hitch, bumper, brush guard, and fender guards. We actually wanted a 6X4 but after trying out the TX with the new suspension and only a little less payload, we were sold. It holds the same dimensions as the 6X4, incsluding bed size. Anyone interested in a 4X2 or 6X4 should really try the TX with the suspension and the bigger 401cc Kawasaki engine. We were impressed when we climbed a large hill with ruts at the dealership and the TX went right up without slipping or causing ruts...and my wife wasn't afraid of it flipping over, even on this incline.

A wealthy old lady decides to go on a photo safari in Africa, taking her faithful aged poodle named Cuddles, along for the company. One day the poodle starts chasing butterflies and before long, Cuddles discovers that she's lost. Wandering about, she notices a leopard heading rapidly in her direction with the intention of having lunch.

The old poodle thinks, "Oh, oh! I'm in deep doo-doo now!"
Noticing some bones on the ground close by, she immediately settles down to chew on the bones with her back to the approaching cat. Just as the leopard is about to leap, the old poodle exclaims loudly, "Boy, that was one delicious leopard! I wonder if there are any more around here?"

Hearing this, the young leopard halts his attack in mid-strike, a look of terror comes over him and he slinks away into the trees.

"Whew!", says the leopard, "That was close! That old poodle nearly had me!"

Meanwhile, a monkey who had been watching the whole scene from a nearby tree, figures he can put this knowledge to good use and trade it for protection from the leopard.
So off he goes, but the old poodle sees him heading after the leopard with great speed, and figures that something must be up.

The monkey soon catches up with the leopard, spills the beans and strikes a deal for himself with the leopard. The young leopard is furious at being made a fool of and says, "Here, monkey, hop on my back and see what's going to happen to that conniving canine!"

Now, the old poodle sees the leopard coming with the monkey on his back and thinks, "What am I going to do now?", but instead of running, the dog sits down with her back to her attackers, pretending she hasn't seen them yet, and just when they get close enough to hear, the old poodle says:
"Where's that damn monkey? I sent him off an hour ago to bring me another leopard!"

Moral of this story.. Don't mess with old farts...age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill! Bullshit and brilliance only come with age and experience!

My understanding of it is as follows;

It is legal subject to:

-lead trailer MUST be a 'load-nearing' style hitch, i.e, 5th wheel or gooseneck,
-safety chains must be used on both units,
-brakes on both units,
-breakaway safety devices required on both units,
-total length of towed untits less than 41',
-total length from bumper to bumper less than 75'5",
-if total GROSS weight of towed units exceeds 9,900 # Commercial Inspection (safety cert.) is required,
-if total GROSS weight of towed units exceeds 22,00 # CDL is required.

Other than that, "Come on over, the fishing's great."

I've had good luck keeping the deer out of my garden plot (150'x60'). The fence is 4' welded wire for the groundhogs and such topped about 8" above with one strand of electric wire. I have deer in the field every day around the garden but I've never found one or evidence of one inside.

You will never keep deer from jumping a 5' fence (I've seen them jump an 8' fence from a standing start) so I did what one book recommended - educate the deer. Before the garden gets tasty put a dab of peanut butter at various spots on the wire. I put it every 5-10' or so. The deer will smell the peanut butter, try a taste, and learn to keep away. Either smooth or extra crunchy.

Now I know why that fella said what he did about you being a welder, LOL, all you need is a tape measure, a piece of soapstone, and a area of concrete floor to sketch it all out on.

Seriously, if your machine already has a QT FEL bucket, just measure up the 'hitch' portion of your bucket and reproduce it on the back of the frame that will eventually hold the forks. It appears like that is what Redwing did, his also appears to be a first class job BTW.

The forks in Redwing's pic's are the 'flange' type of mount, I went with the 'tube' type of mount. You will need to go with what your forks are unless you want to make up a set of forks also.

I notched the tubes and installed the telescopic check chains on my BX1500 yesterday afternoon. The job went smoothly, but a couple things to note... The pins from the B-series parts are larger than the pins used on the BX. (no surprise) Therefore the attachment holes in the lower link arms and in the check chain anchor plate had to be enlarged to 1/2". Also, the pins are a bit long (due to the difference in attachment point design) so a stack of washers must be used at the anchor plate or preferably the pins should be effectively shortened by drilling a new hole for the cotter pin. I would highly recommend to anyone doing this modification to either use the larger pins or install bushings in the holes of the new check chain components. If too much slop is left in the joint, the holes will wear out quickly. This also applies to the connection at the anchor plate. This is because the connection is not a "yoke" setup rather just two plates stacked atop each other. Too long of a pin will wear out the hole in a similar fashion. Overall I'm very happy with the results!

Getting back to the original subject of this post... From what I can see, the telescopic check chains and lower link arms from a B-2410, 2710 or 2910 look like a direct replacement for the stock components on the 7510. Take a look at page 303 and 304 of the B2910HSD.pdf file.

When did the dealer "fix" the leak? If it was recently, take it back and make 'em do it again. If it wasn't then I don't know.

I was making my weekly (seems like it) trip to get a flat tire fixed and when I drove past the feed store and there, on display, were a couple of shiny new Kioti's....a CK 25 and a CK30.<br>

My L130 has 80+hrs and still smokes upon starting, and always backfires when I shut it off. Bought it from a JD dealer and the service department is superb, however, thay continue to shake their collective heads on this one.

Believe it or not, but I figured it out!!
I had a bad quick-disconnect on one of the loader hydro. lines.

I don't full understand the how and why, but the way I discovered it was to switch the diverter valve to the 10 o'clock position and the arms worked.

When put back to the 1 o'clock position the arms stopped working.

I then pulled the disconnects apart and started inspecting and cleaning. One of them was stuck closed and would not connect fully. Once replaced, everything worked fine.

Let me clarify. The Jinma starter/solenoid is replaced as a unit. No such thing as being able to replace solenoid only - via the Jinma parts chain. <br>

After a thorough teardown and cleaning of the OE starter, battery and cable upgrades, a relocated battery ground, a replacement ignition switch, and TWO REPLACEMENT STARTERS, the problem still existed. The only remedy was to apply heat to the starter motor case - which I did with a KAT's magnetic heater. <br>

The ultimate solution was to get rid of the tractor, thus my suggestion to get a replacement tractor from Northern - one that DOESN'T exhibit this starter problem. <br>

I knew you were retired from Anchorage. Maybe that's the explanation; I'm retired from the PSP. Are you aware of the "Moosecam" in Anchorage? I frequently check it out. It's a good website and I have seen moose on it. I'll try to attach the link for it. My apologies for getting off the main topic.

My pic #19 shows what I did on a Jinma chipper to make it compatible. The following info is from an earlier post I made on the subject. There's also I-Match info in the archives if you do a search.

The top pin should be 15" above the bottom pins and close to the same vertical plane. If it is set back 6-8" from the bottom pins the I-Match can't hook onto it.

There should be enough clearance under and/or behind the top pin to allow the I-Match hook to slide underneath it and then lift up and hook onto it. Sometimes when a horizontal cross member runs beneath or behind the top pin the I-Match hook won't fit under it.

Also, the I-Match latches the bottom links in place with cams that swivel out. Sometimes structural components on the implement may prevent the cams from swiveling all the way out and locking in place.

I've found the only sure way to be sure an implement works with I-Match is to hook one up and try it. Two brands of 3ph pallet forks I looked at claimed to be I-Match compatible, but it was obvious neither manufacturer ever tried one because they weren't. They had I-Match dimensions but structural interference prevented them from working.

Well I'm the newest member and probably have the same question as any newbie that signs on. I'm about to purchase the above tractor with 4WD, turf tires, front loader (is that what FEL stands for?), 60" belly mower and around 1200 hours. I've seen the tractor in action and appears to be well taken care of. What is the $$$ value?<br>

Hi, Today I filed a 2'nd complaint with GM Customer Service and also a complaint with The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to go after my $2200 that I gave them in Nov. 2003 to fix my ABS. I have a '98 K2500 that is not included in the '99 - 2002 recall and it should be. GM also told me it is only Canadian trucks but that is not true. The Fed. is investigating complaints to the NHTSA about "buildup of corrosion on the anitlock brake system may cause it to activate at low speeds, increasing stopping distances". You all should file the same complaint!!
This is a known problem that GM is trying to cover up. They are trying to wear us down but I will not give up. The people that had accidents really need to speak up. Later

Thanks for the response. Ive been everywhere and wow what a difference. Found the best price on a 45DA with loader, wheel weights, and grill guard was 24850 less 300 rebate. Happened to run be driving by a case dealer which I had no idea even existed and is only a 5 miles from my house. Quoted 45DX with all the same for 24100 less 300 rebate. Thats 1700 cheaper than my first quote. Unbelievealbe. He did mention what the DX was only listed to have 2 wheel wieghts per side which made no sense as the NH lists 3. Can anyone verify that really is 3 on the dx. I cant believe there is any difference.
