No doubt the 60" KK unit will be considerably lighter than some other brands 54". One of the ways to make it cheaper is to use less steel.

As Frank said, the most important thing is to cover your tracks. If it will also serve as full time ballast an extra 100 pounds might be desirable.

Another consideration: your visual frame of reference for where your tractor fits are the rear wheels. The only time I scrape and bump into things (trees, fence posts, car bumpers) is when I have the 6' rear blade on.

Things are much safer when the whole assembly is roughly the same width.

I have a 18 foot 12000 lb. Big Tex. It's a really nice unit. the paint could be better but it's not all that bad. well built trailers you'll like it.

Thanks Oneace, you have convinced me to buy a TC40Da instead of a TC35DA....I look forward to trying it out and putting it to work. I test drove one Sat. at the dealer, very nice..the hydro is great. I hope to order one this week!

Thanks for the help. I have looked at JD, Kubota, and NH. But I'm going with the NH. Also the TC40DA is only a little more than the 33da, so even though it is a little more than I need, that's the way I'm going. I have a 53 Ford Jubilee too..and where did you order the wood shop that came in one piece?

Engine oil needs to be changed nearly yearly, antifreeze needs or should be changed out on most engines every three years as well as most fluids when the tractor might be subjected to cold temps.

The two thousand series is a light garden tractor with light maybe being the attachments available at a reasonable price compared to others. But compared to the lawn tractors on the market it comes in as a heavy weight for most chores.

The large B-series or the L-2800 would work with all the same attachments. I would have trouble putting a value much over 5000 if that to a two wheel drive in my area. Different areas might have a higher value.

If you're trying to get the hand primer to pump fuel up to the injectors, it won't work. It's only good as far as the end of the flexible fuel lines - which is the input to the injection pump. Once you confirm that your fuel pump is delivering to the injection pump, you have to make sure you have no air blockage in the hard lines (the steel ones between the inj pump and the injectors.)

Loosen the compression nuts at the top of the steel fuel lines. Then crank the engine. If there's air in the lines, you should get bubbles in maybe 30 seconds of cranking. When the bubbles change to fuel, tighten down the compression nuts. End of priming, tractor "should" start.

I recently purchased a Dig-it model 148 towable backhoe. It was manufactured in 1986 and needs a few of the sperical bushings replaced. Does anyone have, or know where I can acquire a service manual and / or parts manual for this machine. Thanks in advance.

I do like the extra support that you get in the center of the bucket to keep them from getting sprung but for normal residential use I have difficulty in saying that it is needed. Even with my commercial boys with over 1500 hours of loader use on the original they maybe worn back to the original lip but not likely. You will find them around 200 for the L's bucket.

According to the Kubota price list your dealer is correct. The problem is the front tires, the R4 fronts (ALR8869A) and turf fronts (ALR8895A). The RC72-38 MMM option is not supported with either front tire.

It can be very difficult to net anything with 18 foot ceilings.

When we can corner them in a smaller room we catch them in a towel and turn them loose.

If that is not possible, you simply cannot have birds perching in the kitchen and eating areas.

I have a 5 ft Howse Box from Northern and other than the height being shorter on the sides I see no real difference between it and the Landspride box. Oh I suppose if I wanted to get real fussy about the paint finish I might complain but I don't buy my implements for the parades anyway!I figure if your going to drag it around in the dirt what good is paying an extra bunch of money for a good paint job on an implement anyway? One thing that makes the most difference to me is how much money am I willing to spend on my tractor stuff vs what I am going to get out of it.

Well, there you go. Those are the basic steps I was going to put up once I went and got the instructions that came with my tiller. I was fortunate that I did not need to cut my shaft down.

You will want to have at least 4" of overlap where the male portion of the PTO shaft is in the female section by at least 4" at the point where the tiller is farthest away from the tractor. My father-in-law had less than that for his rotary cutter and the shaft flexed (bowed outward) causing significant vibration. Once he figured that out, he moved the mower closer to the tractor. It can be dangerous if it's too short.
