My neighbor is trying to sell me his rotary cutter. The name of the side of the cutter says "CORNEA CLIPPER". Does anyone have any knowledge about who may have made this mower? <br>

When we were finishing our present house we decided to go with traditional oak. My wife and I were planning on oak just on the lower floor but when we got the first floor nailed down I went back to the twin cities and bought another thousand square feet for the upstairs too. So we have no carpet except for area rugs. The cost then (about 4 years ago) was about the same for oak or laminate. Of course there is the finishing time to consider too unless you get the prefinished. People seem to like the laminate but even the best still looks like... well, laminate.

Thanks, I took it apart, found the large piston. No grime, fluid clear. I didnt disasseble the valved bolted underneath the lid below the piston, but operated it and put it back together, it will move now, but wont lift any weight. I will take it apart totally this weekend.

You may not have to cut it. Are you using quick hitch /Pats easy change or anything? You shouldn't have any problem cutting the shaft with a hacksaw but would be faster with power band saw. Measure twice so you don't cut too short.

Since your preference seems to be for Shell products. Try the Shell Retinax� Greases LC. Shell also makes Retinax� Greases CMX and SDX which is a cheaper non-water resistant grease as well. For the most part, any decent quality lithium EP grease will do the job.

Back a while for my entrance, I was instructed that via conduit, the depth of the dig could be less at 18" vs 24" for direct burial. Further regarding stones, DB required 6" of clean sand top and bottom. Just my .02 worth.

There is a updated thermostat that has the "jiggle pin" set outboard a little to gain clearance.Some people cut them off and have no problems...there is not enough flow getting thru that little hole to affect proper cooling.

Murf, I think that is a 5/8 inch hole as you said. I'll have to check it out. The sad part is I just put the old blades back on the deck (after sharpening) and the deck back on the tractor.
The measurement that Gator wanted on my blades was not the 24.5 inch length but a "Diagonal" measurement. I had given them the 24.5 inch length as stated in my owner's manual, along with 3 inch width and .25 inch thickness. As I said, their response was "We just don't have Gator Blades available that is for your specs." I think they're getting tired of me bothering them every 6 months asking if they have blades for my deck. Thanks Murf, Steve.

The service man came yesterday as planned, he spent about 4 hours working on various connections and noticed a few other things that needed adjustment. My float position on the loader was hard to get into and out of float, so he took it all apart and made some adjustments, changed the pressure on my hydrolic value to bring it back to factory spec.
We had about 45 minutes waiting for some parts to be delivered so he took the time to go over the whole tractor and give me a better understanding of how things work. A very worthwile experience and all under warranty except for the travel time. What a great dealer.
I used the loader for about 30 minutes last night and everything was dry, no more leaks.
Thanks for the advice to get it done now.

I used it last night, the vibration went away when I lowered it a bit. Worked great. Had the existing garden done in 15min.. It would have taken 2 or more hours with the walk behind.

It seems the gear box is in the way of getting a deeper till, I don't think 8" depth is possibly.

The syphon system has been around since the beginning of the water cooled engine. It basically works from heat rising exchanging the fluid. For a heating problem my first area to look at would be for obstructions of the radiator and cooling system. For it to just start out of no where with good normal maintence it could be a colapsed hose where the interior liner is not letting it flow thru or it could be a potential head gasket failure or something of that nature which normally would give a discoloration of the antifreeze as well as small bubbles surfacing on the top of the radiator when filled to the neck with the engine running.

I don't think the chains have to be too aggressive. I know some people don't even use chains while snowblowing.

It's for when I am snowblowing, in the few hilly places in my driveway and my neigbor's driveway that have given me problems in the past (with two wheel drive garden tractors).
I just need something thats going to grip better than rubber on ice.
These two link ladder chains are also know as road chains.
If I have to, I'll put road chains on the front too, but I don't think I'll need that. The folks that suggested these road chains, haven't put chains on the front yet.
At some point down the road when this new Kubota is paid off, I plan to have an out building with a gravel floor so more aggressive chains won't be an issue, if it comes to that.
But for the next few years its either park this new Kubota in the garage or out in the elements.

Sounds more like your base under the Blacktop is not to the standard it needs to be. Problem: trucks in the spring will destroy any drive built for cars.

Get a contractor with a profiler and they can recommend a virgin aggregate with an emulsion or calcium to restore base. That will give you a rejunivated asphalt with out the cost of removal and replacement.

The equipment is large so you need to have some distance to make it pay. Smaller contractors may have some smaller stuff. I do not recall seeing much out there.

You will be able to use oil and stone or seal coat it.

It also sounds like the drainage in the low spot needs to get improved or raise the level of the drive.

I just purchased a new 790 tractor with 27hp gross and 24 PTO hp. I need some help with the size of tiller to use. I looked at the John Deere web site and they recommend a 55 to 65 inch. Anyone with the new 790 that has a tiller please help. Thanks
