A BX2230 would be a PERFECT match for your needs. For mowing get the 60" mmm and a 48" bush hog. You'll need the FEL for landscaping, a 3PT tiller for tilling, and a 4' box blade for leveling, grading and ballast (can also be done with the FEL but is more difficult). If you get into horses and need to haul bulk material get a hydraulic dump trailer. You can load it the the FEL then hitch up and go. A B-series is a slightly larger alternative, but probably not neccessary and nominally less manuverable.

What kind of pads are u looking 4?

If you want rubber you can make some from old tires, blocks of hardwood, angle iron serrated, etc.

Truck dock bumpers could also be an option. But to find aftermarket stuff that will fit without modifications is not likely.

Try a google search. There are several antique tractor sites out there. There are also lots of old "Orange" collectors.

Cold to apply chemicals, HOT to wash and turn back to cold to rinse.

1500 is plenty of pressure with the right chemicals, hot water and knowledge.

1. Its a Fed thing.<br>
2. 18k GVW gas truck has a CAT too. Look under a gas U-Haul. Everything on the road has Fed emissions minimums. OEM equipment must be intact.<br>
3. 18k plates on a 6500 GVW truck won't fly with the DMV either.

Those are "bar" tires. I wish I had gotten them instead of the turfs. Traction can be limited with the turfs in dirt or snow. They work well, but the bar tires would be better from what I've read.

Has anybody every tried to press the lawn seed into the <br>
soil with a lawn roller instead of covering seed up?<br>
I heard of a guy that has done this with success,I <br>
normally use a harrow to cover the seed but a roller<br>
sounds easier, also the soil would not wash as easy.<br>

Has anyone tested the cub cadet 6284 (28hp cat diesel)? Seems to offer a lot for much less money including a tight turning radius. It seems nobody knows anything about this model (was called 7284 last year).

I need a compact to mow 3-4 acres, and do snow removal and landscaping. Looking at prices, I have been very impressed with the cub cadet 6284 with 28hp cat engine and tight turning radius. Seems $3000 less than jd4115 or NHtc29. Has anyone else compared the cub cadet? Very few people know anything about the 6284 (was called 7284 last year).

There is very little diference in terms of functionality, but the 3000 twenty tractors have better looks, and some nice features like the display on the dash, and the placement of the ignition key. Other wise the motor is basically the same. I think you should get the 4210, and an extra implempnt that you thought you might use, but maybe couldn't afford to with the 3120. But ultimatly, get what makes you feel best. Its your money.

I move my tractor several times a day, though larger and heaver. One avantage to a two axel trailer is that you can disconnect from the truck while loaded. I even load and unload without being connected.

I'm looking at purchasing a Ford 1100 diesel 4WD, and the dealer has a couple of implements which came from a 1210 which he suggests will also fit the 1100. They are a Ford 702A 54" hydraulic blade, and a Ford 716 50" two-stage snowblower.<br>

Can anyone tell me if these implements will interchange with the 1100, and what implements (and model numbers) were originally made to fit the 1100? <br>

One local dealer has a SAME - Argon 50, I was impressed with the thing. I've got a '67 IH B414 now and don't want to go below 50 HP. The SAME is 50HP & 4WD, air cooled, well thought out and with a FEL, would do me well. Our county road dept has 2 SAMEs and runs the crap out of them. I spoke to their maintenance guys and they said all they have had to do is change fluids/filters - no problems with the SAME.

Turbotim, My 2000 L35 has a slight pause also. Recommend you use Kubota Super UDT fluid--appears to make a difference. Hope you enjoy your L35 TLB.

Machines like the harley rock rake would go on the three point hitch of your tractor but any way you look at it; it sounds like you could clean it today and again tommorrow. The best you might do is to build a raised track to keep you away from the stones for a year or two.

I don't think going small is a bad thing. If it is not enough size/power, you will be able to recoupe most of your money. On the rare occaision when I have seen a used 2210 for sale, it sale price is usually very close to what was paid.
