The clunk I think your ref. to is called "drive Line Clunk Bulletin" Don't worry they are aware of it I'm told.
These bulletin's keep them from having to step up and fix it as far as I can see? They retuned my driveshaft on the computer?(sounds good) and it came right back. My General
Mess of Crap has been in the shop since it had 900 mi. on it. I leave it parked in the yard paid for and with 60,ooo
mi. and run my 1986 Isuzu pick up I found last year with 31000 mi. on it. run's like a top w/32mpg. I would trade out
of the GMC but it has depreciated so much in 3 yrs. I might as well keep it to haul my stump grinder around summers.
Remember they are "Professional Grade". What a crock of bull! Ask your friend for me if they actually drive these trucks before they sell them?

I just picked up a 4' king kutter xb box blade scraper from Coastal Tractor here in CT. It was new but weathered and they sold it to me at a great price. Anyway. I know there are tons of BX owners out there lately on this site and I want to keep you from making a mistake I almost made. DO NOT buy the 5' blade. I really think it will be too much for the little BX. It has plenty of HP but even with the 4' my wheels were spinning (all 4 or at least 3 at once) several times in my driveway grading the stone I pushed to the sides during the winter.<br>

This 4' is plenty. I would think the 5' with the higher moldboard would be way too much like trying to pull a 53' trailer with a pickup truck and 500HP. Just too much weight for the machine. These little BX's have plenty of power but they are too light to go bigger than the 4'. Just my opinion from using a 4' blade today. <br>

Boy have I been missing the boat. What a tool the box blade is! I can't wait to figure out all the "tricks".

I priced a new 4410 HST last summer with a 72" mmm and turfs for just over $20,000. (I agree that your price is a little too high.) I ended up buying a used 2003 model with 87 hours at a dealer auction (same dealer) for $15,200. I have been very happy so far. I just ordered a 300cx loader with HD 73" bucket today for $3,500. (The HD bucket was $268 higher than the standard duty bucket.) IMO, if your going to spend that much, get the new series...resale will be better and maintanence work is easier with the hood that lifts the side panels...plus they look great!

Kubota is the only way to go here,,they keep a GREAT resale value,,and I hear rumors there is a legal thing going on for the "look alike" this is just a rumor,,no fact!

I can tell you my Kioti DK 35 for the last 3 years/450 hours has worked perfecty.
I would buy the same machine again if I were to do it over..

A deck between dumper is nicer to haul equipment with lower deck height and it is more stable, but a little more difficult to dump since deck gets closer to the ground, but if I were to buy one, I think I would go for that rather than the deck over. I have an off road deck over by Pronovost with 3 way dump, and they make some neat ones for on the road too, but a little salty.

I was the same way about buying the Chinese chipper. But after doing exhaustive research there really isn't anything close in price and construction. I used a Troybilt 10HP for a few years and it did fine but just wasn't big enough anymore. I am still in the process of tweaking the Jinma. The extra work doesn't bother me, I like "Tweaking" stuff!!

The only other issue not yet addressed is the weight. A high end bush hog ($1800-2000)in 6 foot size will be too heavy. We put one on a Kubota L48 and so far it has broken 2 toplinks. And it is not from going fast over bumps. It gets used moderatly on pastures. You can definitly feel the weight when you pick it up. A cheapy should be no problem. I run a 7 foot bush hog squealer on my JD4300.

Reminds me of my 98 Explorer the first time I changed the fuel filter. I came out in a hurry soaked with gas just hoping the water heater in the garage didn't fire off. From then on I used some rubber plugs that came with a vacuum gage I bought one time to check EGR valves. There was a whole assortment of little cone shaped rubber stoppers you use when you pull off a vacuum line and need to plug it. They work great for fuel lines too.

My wife can't wait, she thinks maybe I won't be at this site so much after Friday.I purchased the tractor at Service Motor Company in Green Bay WI. It took me about 15 to 20 hrs to get the nack of being able to curl the bucket, pull back the dip and boom in a somewhat cordinated manner to achieve a smooth motion. You will find you have finite hydro fluid to operate the hoe which translates into a bit slower pace if you are curling, pulling back and swinging to the side at the same time. I bought this great book on loader and bh fundamentals written by some association that has something to do with heavy equipment training. In it they suggested you get close to a source of water like a pond. Use your backhoe to dip, swing and dump water without spilling it. This technique would sharpen your skills with the bh. The book said it takes nearly 100 hrs to become proficent with a loader and bh. Well I have a few hours more to put in but I am looking forward to that. And yes, that little hoe has alot of power. I pulled up some boulders that were considerably larger than the bucket. I had to play with them a bit to get them out of the hole. Oh but what fun.

That looks mean, but I don't think it'd get out of any real mud. It's meant to have clearance over vegtable crops. Mudder is just a generic term for a high crop. And keep the lift kits off the Explorers they can't get into or out of mud either.

How does this sound? A brand new Kioti CK30/FEL gear(shuttle), for $12,900.00. Sound to good? Well, thats what I was thinknig. The quote came from a real nice guy w/Group Tractor in Pennsylvania. Type in American steel carports and it will take you to several sites that sell them.. They are on business lots all over here. A 12 X 20 open carport was $699. Mine with the sides and door ran around $2500.00.installed...still its a pretty cheap garage..

There is allot more electronics available today compared to when GM tried doing it on the Caddy. On the GM version they shut down several cylinders when power wasn't needed. I understand they shut down the same cylinders that caused a lack of lubrication, etc., while a bank of cylinders without power caused an imbalance. From what I'm told the new Chrysler version uses electronics to rotate the none firing pistons around reducing the imbalance of power and still lube the piston wall. I hope this works long term and agree it would be awesome of truck engines.

Woods makes an excellent BH for the BX tractors. The have some very nice features. THere are ups and downs to both. The subframe and mount on the Woods unit is just as strong as the OEM on the BX22/23. ROPS on the BX22/23 is bigger offering more room for the operator.

There is more than one choice.
