The dealers in my local area quote at -20% from list. My understanding is a 3320, turfs and hydro lists at $20,637.00 and he quotd $16,800.00. If you are a good customer as I am, they usually will go slightly more to get the deal signed. I live in a farming community with lots of hungry dealers.

I am sure you'll like that machine. I have last years model, no HST. Doesn't bother me though, I either would have had to step down to a smaller tractor to get all the bells and whistles, or get a real tractor. I see all of these little machines, and for me it seems to be such a waste.

I was going through the same thing with my TC33D (~29 PTO HP). I have a 5ft. track, I'm glad I went with the 6ft.. You'll be glad you do too, IMHO.

Opinions on cutter size 5ft vs 6ft on a 30 HP L2650

I really appreciate this board for all the help I can glean. I have a 16' 2 axle trailer but I don't have brakes on it. All lights are ok. I have to pull 100 miles all 4 lane. I might consider using my trailer after all, but I'm concerned about the Brakes! When I was younger I pulled Cars without brakes on the trailer. maybe it's still alright.

Thanks guys. We've just started looking at them and stopped to see one after church one Sunday. The guy knew we were coming and had the truck started and running before hand which had me slightly annoyed, I guess I know why now.

We've been a Toyota family so far, 300,000 miles + between 2 vehicles, and I am still confident in their reliability, just outgrowing the 4-Runner. Although I would probably not worry too much about it, the truck would be my wife's and she will probably push harder for a Sequoia after she sees this post.

Once you do a few things to the Jinma there's not a whole lot to go wrong with it. I looked at some other brands costing as much as $5k and they didn't really look like they had big advantages over the Jinma. Not sure how reliable or maintenance intensive the other brands are but some of them have design flaws. For example, one ~$5k Bearcat with optional blower is a clogging nightmare because the blower stream changes direction slowing the discharge a lot. The dealer steered me away from that one. Another I looked at (forget the brand but it was $3500) was gravity feed and didn't have a blower at all.

I agree the tulips are a nice touch. I was kinda getting tired of the cute snowman with scarf. Don't remember anybody commenting about that, or was the snowman my imagination?

The distance to the dealer could be a problem if and when you have them. The Kubota's are easier to sell although I doubt you would want to change soon but it is a point to be addressed and should be. The B-7800 is lighter as it is a perfect low impact lawn mower with a full host of easy to attach tools.

The early GST 's did have a delay between the gears especially between 4th and 5th gear. The newer models have far less hesitation then the old ones as well as they are currently 12 speeds.

I think you would find about 9000 plus or minus depending on the cosmetics and normal condition of mechanicals a good spot for the unit.

Not sure about how the JD loaders store, but with my Kubota, as long as I relieve the pressure before disconnecting the lines, and let the loader settle at rest, I haven't had a single problem in two years. Don't relieve the pressure, and it's sure to pressure lock as it settles.

I also store it inside the barn so I don't have the problem of the sun warming the loader.

Just bought a CK 30 HST with FEL, box blade and bush hog for 16,600. Got it from Little Equipment in Metropolis, IL. I found that the only people who have bad things to say about the Kioti brand are people that are sold on whatever brand they own.

I have changed the user interface on this so on your own picture album you now have another menu of pix that you can add text to. This has now been corrected so it works in Netscape, let me know if you have problems with other browsers.

Hi Ken, I think that's right.

I did find your review of this chipper after my post. Very helpful. Sounds like these are pretty finicky, and I get the impression may not be the best way to go for heavy or long-term use. I see you have done much modification and maintenance with yours. I am undecided I guess. In general I agree with the old 'you get what you pay for'.

That said, I would like to talk with you about the one you have for sale. With the modis you've made it may be a good value for my needs. I have modified my profile to allow private messages, send me an email if you'd like to follow up.

I faced the same decision when I was purchasing a couple years ago. I eneded up with the 7800 for a few reasons:

The CK30 wasn't available yet, only the CK20.
The Kubota dealer was much better to work with since I had a trade. The Kioti dealer was nothing short of an *$$, and I wouldn't want to deal with them for the life if the machine.

The CFO (wife) was sold on the Kioti. The CK's are very nice machines with some of the features you don't get with the 7800, most importantly, the position control on the 3-pt. This and the weight are the only two functional differences we could find. The lighter Kubota turned out to be a significant plus. It's easier to trailer, easier on the lawn when turning, and gives the tractor a better power/weight ratio.

We also use a RFM instead of a deck. We sold the deck off the previous tractor and wouldn't go back to one. The RFM is easier to deal with and does a great job cutting the lawn.

We have made some improvements to the 7800 we have, icluding a position indicator on the 3-pt to compensate for the lack of position control. We love the Kubota, and have never second guessed not waiting for the Kioti. It's been a great macchine for us.

Make sure you drive them both, and get to know the dealers. Two hours away is a little tough, but the quality of the dealership is really important for a major purchase of this kind. I think you would be happy with either machine.

Some friends of ours had a cat get in their house while they were on vacation. The cat caused $10K worth of damage. It was in every room in the house and was still alive after a week. Their son came to check on things and found the cat and the damage.

If a cat could kill moles then I might consider one, otherwise, I have no use for cats.
