I am a big fan of the telescopic links having used them on mid size farm tractors for years. I would buy them in a second if buying new. I may add them to my 4300 in the future. I was under the impression that NH offered them on any of the D models (Deluxe) as well as the swivel seat that all companies should offer. My friend has a tc29d and he has them and likes them, maybe he added them later?

I believe that chemical was a pesticide called "DDT". Did a lot of damage. Now if I could get my hands on a batch of Chlorodane. ;O)

Thanks to all who posted replys to my questions. Yesterday the dealer delivered the new TC24DA with FEL. The NH backhoe and Woods RD6000 should be here next week! Again thanks to all for all of the information, sure helped with making decisions.

Where can I find a light bulb (1076) for the turn signals on my BX23? I'm told by the two local Kubota dealers that I have to change the entire fixture.

I had a briggs 8 HP log splitter that was the same way. It never ran great from the day it was brand new 14 years ago, and went in for warranty work 2 times, never to be fixed properly. It would run great for a day or 2 at the most, then require adjusting the mix screw to make it run good again. The float valve never worked and leaked all fuel out when not running. One day it needed leaner, the next richer, and then back. I gave it the best tune up money could buy, a Honda 8HP. I learned my lesson with Hondas a few years ago: always buy them and forget about the junk. Now it always runs great. Besides those drastic measures, I would forget about the idle speed screw unless when it runs, it runs too slow or fast. The float adjustment is a poassible problem but I doubt it. I usually take the carb off, turn the mix screw in all the way counting the turns to all the way in so you know where to set it later. Then take that screw all the way out. On my older Kohlers, that screw is hollow and has holes so I clean them with carb cleaner and a single strand of copper wire to poke out the dirt. I spray carb cleaner through all orifices and remove float valve and clean it and its seat. Then put it back and see how it works, adjusting the mix screw at an idle to get it smooth. Your newer bigger engine is probably different than mine and I don't have the manual for it so I can't tell you the settings for the mix screw.

I've got a JD 4410 with a JD 4-in-1 bucket installed on a 410 FEL. I'm thinking of getting a Top 'n Tilt from Integrated Engineering. Any comments on if/how I could use my existing 4-in-1 hydraulics to power the TNT? I would be unlikely to use 4-in-1 and TNT at the same time, so it seems that if I were to uncouple the 4-in-1 hydraulics (at the rear of the tractor), couple the TNT lines, and somehow lock the 4-in-1 control lever in either the open or close position, that would do the trick. Kind of rough and ready, but a lot cheaper than getting a JD Power Beyond kit, and way cheaper than the whole JD TNT and diverter valve setup. Thanks for any comments - long time since I used this board...having a great time with my 4410 bought new last year.

Not being really familiar with JD's product line I am sort of stabbing in the dark here, but I take it a &$ FB is frame mounted, thus the lack of compatibility with a FEL.

If that is the case I would seriously suggest you look at mounting a blade on the FEL in place of the bucket instead, the difference is night & day between the two.

If you don't want to fab. it yourself, or have it done locally, you could buy one from Curtis, good units, just a bit spendier than the DIY version.

While I was scanning topics I did a double take on this one, almost like the one, "Whats the favorite thing you've put through a chipper?". I didn't expect to see a medical topic, but then again it is something most of us end of going through. I've had a couple and although I tolerated the procedure and recovery fine, I sure didn't like the Fleet cocktail I had to drink the night before. I tried the last one without any pain killer so I could drive home right afterwards. Half way through the procedure either the Dr. had used to much compressed air or my plumbing was kinked, I got pretty uncomfortable and the Dr immediately introduced something to ease the pain. I believe I was awake throughout the procedure, real dopey, but he was in and out fairly fast. Highly recommended especially what the alternative might be with family history, etc. Although a different form of cancer, I just lost a good friend and boss a couple of years back to prostate cancer. It was diagnosed when he was about 50 and he died just shy of his 62 birthday. The last two years sure weren't real pleasant for him.

( My little B6000 will sit with all the tires spinning, but not much else happening when I'm trying to dig. If it's not loose, or in a pile it's pick and shovel time and I"m too old and WAY too lazy to do too much of that. My neighbor has a JD 4200 (25 HP, hydrostatic trans, loader +++) and has no complaints. I'm a penny pincher, but don't mind paying for the right piece of equipment the FIRST time, even if it costs more than I wanted to spend. I guess I'm looking for one less thing to complain about.)

If the JD 25hp will do it, then I am willing to guess that the Jinma 254 or 284 will do it too. The 254 and 284 is the big brothers, so to speak to the Jinma224. The Motors are rated at about 25hp and 28hp, and the 224's motor is rated at about 20 to 22hp, and they share aproximately the same chassis. Last year "Deals On Wheels", was selling the Jinma254, with a canopy, PS, 4wd, weights on front and Rear wheel weights, Spring Suspension Seat,3cylinder engine, Assembled for about 6K.

I think that you will find that the JD with all those options will be about twice that, if not more, and they may not even offer you the Spring Suspension Seat/Adjustable to Body Weight. You can order your tractor setup just the way you want it from Deals On Wheels, but you will have to wait about 2-3 months, for the tractor to get here from China. They will ship to you either in a crate or assembled.

Whoever you get your tractor from,, just make sure to go behind them and check all your fluids and bolt tightness and any other thing that you can think of.

I might add, that I have 83 hours on my little 224 and I really like it. This is my 2nd Chinese Tractor, and I am amazed at how quiet this little 3 cylinder engine is. It is my best friend and it has done a lot of work for me, and I have a lot more work for it to do.

Just remember though, your neighbor with the JD, may give you a hard time about your China made tractor, especially after he finds out, that your tractor will do about the same thing as his, but at about 1/2 the price. It may hurt his feelings. :-)

Don't let anybody con you about the resale value either. I bought my first Chinese tractor for 5K back in 1990 and sold it for 4K in 1997. In my book, that's not too bad on resale value. And that one was a Shenniu. These Jinma's may hold their value even better, but only time will tell.

I put a set of the Walmart Liberator tires on my Dodge. I had the 285/75R-16 Liberator AT's put on. They have been VERY good tires. Ride well, not bad in snow, off road, and highway. At $94 each, they were a bargain. When I wear this set out, I will by buying another set of these same tires again.

I do a lot of stuf on ebay and the fishy ones that are scams are the ones that say "pre-approved" bidders only or don't use the ebay link , it's not working send all email to this email address with a weird address. They will ask you to wire funds. These are all scams. They bootleg some dumma%%'s account because he was stupid enough to send his password to a bogus email and then they get you. They actually take the pics from an old listing. They are easy to spot because most of them are from another country and write in broken english.

Anyne who is dumb enough to buy a machine on ebay and pay all or part of it without seeing it first is a dope and deserves to be scammed. I NEVER require a deposit or payment. They come get it, feel it was described properly , hand me the $$ for it and they take it home. DO NOT buy from anyone who wants money up front or you will loose hard earned cash!
