Definitely test drive both.I looked at the JD,NH,& Kubota before getting my bx23.I chose the kubota for 3 reasons: designed for a backhoe (something the NH couldn't do without removing the MMM), value for my$, and financing (kubota was 0% compared to 8%+). My Kubota dealer also gave me a longer warranty.

A BH does come in handy more than you think. I clear land & remove stumps. I landscape and plant trees. I about to add livestock waterers, underground water and electric in the horse shed. I can do it all myself and at my pace.

There are aftermarket 3pt BH's you could get later, but be aware unless you add proper frame bracing you risk damaging your tractor. Some CUTs just aren't really designed for having a BH attached.

I have Turf's on my TC33D with 72 inch MMM. I'm pleased with the performance cutting the lawn and just as pleased with the traction provided while plowing deep snow. I'm sure you won't be disappointed in the turf tires for your needs.

Thanks, just wanted to make sure there was not something I needed to know. I did fill her up last Nov. before parking it. I did not think I would be NOT there all winter because of the strike. Thought I would be running it all winter but situation changes made me become a mister mom for a few months. Thanks again.

Greg, you'll be satisfied with either the TZ24 or TZ25 but you'll definitely save some $$ with the "dinged" fender.

I think the Sensitrack option was worth the extra $$, especially when the wife is using the tractor. I've tried several times to explain when and when not to use FWD and finally just told her not to worry about it because the tractor will decide when it's needed. I used FWD while clearing the drive this winter thinking I'd need it for slippery conditions. During the last few snowfalls I disengaged FWD and the tractor just fine without it. In fact, it didn't fight against itself once it was on bare pavement. No regrets about this option!

I agree the new option on the TZ25DA to warn about the parking brake is an advantage but you soon learn from the whine of the HST when it's set and you're trying to move.

On my 4310 the dealer charged $925 for the TnT kit and $1125 for two additional SCVs and the electric diverter valve. Prices include installation labor.

Yanmar makes a good engine so I wouldn't worry about that.<br>
The price sounds high to me, but then again JD prices always sound high to me !!<br>
A comparable Kubota would probably be an L-3130 or L-3430.<br>
They are very nice machines also.

Its a good time to put the tiller on the tractor and see how it fits.
Sometimes the PTO shaft may need shortened to fit your machine. You may get lucky and the shaft is just right without cutting.
They also come shipped without oil in the gearboxes.

Fred Cain Co. told me that any local dealer would have
blades, just bring them in to match.
I did and my local Kubota dealer did.
Model AC-105 purchased in 10/02/99
Blade measures: 24 3/4" long; 3" width; 1/2" theck with
uplift.
It fits a 1 1/2" bolt and I ueed a 1 11/16" drive socket
to tighten the nut.

Art IT IS THAT TIME OF YEAR! We are starting to accelerate some still have a couple of weeks yet of Maint before plants are ready to run the season. Still holding on 40 hour weeks but you can feel the pace won't be long it'll be 60+.<br>

An additional note worth mentioning: Your Little Guy arrives in a crate with the Hyd Control laying in the bottom with the entire thing covered in vis queen and with wet weather, melting snow etc. ponds begin to develop on / in the vis queen , even my control unit was discolored and rusty inside the little detent stopped functioning!!

All was replaced under warranty yesterday!!

Dave, you have the sizes wrong on the CNH's! It's the exact opposite but everyone uses the two range in the smaller sizes even deere. With the Kubota hydros they require very low petal effort and they will also spin the tire's in the mid range.

Now that you mention it, a old tow truck company in my town used to run all their trucks on propane.

I get 16-19.5 with my 1/2 ton gas truck. Where it slaps me in the face is when I am towing. I drop right down to 14-15 imediately and more times than not its more like 14mpg. Its times like those that I wish I had a diesel.
When I replace my truck (hopefully in a few year and my kids will be gone) I want to get a standard cab diesel maybe like the ford that had more room behind the seat). Figure I can swap the cost of the extra cab for diesel. The I could go up to the 3/4 ton and swap the mpg increase.
I am jealous of you guys with the big diesel trucks.

I had the squared boom 7308 on a previous NH and I have the 16LA on my current one. I agree that visibility is much improved with the new curved boom design. As far as lifting, its lifted everything I've attempted with the bucket. Oftentimes for convenience I'll put the pallet forks from the skidsteer on the loader to move something light and its worked well for that also. Only "issue", if any, is getting used to the bucket sticking out front a little further and the impact that has on tight turns, etc. After using the unit for months now, I've adapted and no longer think about it. Probably would have different problems if I went back to the 7308.

I believe the John Deere 2210, 4010, 4110, 4115, 790 and 990 are all made by Yanmar in Japan.
