Larry, I don't have any experience with a boom pole so I'm not sure what it will do for you. You'll probably find the tractor isn't quite as versatile as a 4wd would be but I'm sure you will make the best of it. If you are on flat ground and pulling it ought to do fairly well but if you get off on a hill/slope you may find the 2WD won't do what you want. My 7234 weighs around 3300# with the FEL on it and I don't have filled tires. I would guess your tractor would be around 3000 pounds with the weights you describe.

I had the 60" on my BX2200. It has more than enough hp for tall grass. It raised high enough to work with fel unless you get in rough ground but don't think that part would be any different with a 54". I have not had both sizes on my BX2200 but do have the 54" on my BX1500. If money is not a factor I would get the 60" for the BX2200 just for saving time.

I have a couple of engines that barely need juice to start and other's that unless your battery is 100% they won't fire.

Just glad it started for you.

Yeah a crawler loader is designed to dig. A cut and loader can dig but are more tuned to move material. If you put a tooth bar on the bucket it will dig a little better.

Congrats! Oneace tells me (and so does my dealer) that the 185B is a HOT!!! skidsteer. I really wish the best with this one. Did you get cab heat and air? I tilled up a ground hornets nest a few years back while running the enclosed bobcat. I turned around at the end of the field and all my help was not to be seen. Found out why later! They were behind me picking rocks. LOL Love that full enclosed cab!!! I did not know I hit it.
After the dust settles and you get accustomed to it, I would appreciate an update.
Oneace is correct. We used to only build and manufacture/machine some of the valves for the constrction equipment in our valve room. Wish I could walk it down the line. I believe you can ask to do it yourself. Have heard that once in awhile perks are put in if you visit while its being built. (of course that is just a legend though) Ahemmmmm ahemmmmm. Tell your dealer you WANT to do it and see what comes of it? Good luck.
On anouther note, I have operated 4 different skidsteer brands. (This is not a biased opinion) I really do think the New Holland makes the best skidsteer out there for comfort, ergonomics and loading trucks. By no means am I an expert but judgeing from the models of JD,Gehl,Bobcat and New Holland I have operated I like the NH the best. Not comparing apples and apples though for they were all pretty much different sizes and options.

I have no personal experience, but I would imagine that the key to making reel mowers work well is to not let the grass get too tall. Since the grass is sissored off instead of chopped off, they leave a very clean cut that I have read is healthier for the grass. (Again, no experience to back this up; just what I have read.) As you indicated, the required horsepower-per-foot is far less than with a rotary, probably because the grass is not mulched up after being cut.

I remember that the school I went to years ago had a five or seven (can't remember) gang reel mower that was used on the football field and the recess lawn. They had an old Farmall M to pull it with.

For what you paid for it you have a lot of room to put money into it and still end up on top. Get you head checked. Then pull your pistons and hone the cyl.'s Call a dealer and get some specs for tolerances. If you are too far out get the the block machined and go from there. I rebuild engines all the all the time at work and price WITH labor is normally around $3000 with parts and machine shop work. If you are doing it your self you could save about half that.

I run Napa oil filters on both of my tractors and my car and truck(mostly because its easier for me to get all my filters from one convenient location).<br>
I own a JD 850 and a Kioti DK 35.<br>
Both tractors OEM filters have anti drain back valves and bypass valves.<br>
The Napa filter they cross over too also have the antridrain back valves and the bypass valve.

My 4115 is bigger, heavier and make more ponies than your 7510.

A blade in the 54-60 inch range is all I can handle, especially if the snow is wet and heavy. When too much snow builds up in front of the plow it pushes the tractor sideways along the axis of the plow angle.

A six foot blade would be much worse and a seven foot blade would be unusable.

Get a snow blade that will clear out your tracks when angled to the extreme but not much bigger.

Art, I agree with you 100%. I just figured for $2,000 why not. I'm still trying to get the guy down to $2,000. The problem is around here in CT there are a lot of people that think anything with 4x4 and a loader is worth $4,000 so someone will pay too much for it. I have a bx2200 and know exactly what you mean. My bx is head over heals more of a machine considering the b6000 was probably what my bx is back in 1977. I tried the loader on this old machine and put it undetr the rear corner of my 14' trailer (i was hoping to take it home that day!) it wouldn't lift the corner of the trailer. I then came home and tried it with my bx thinking it was just plain heavy. The BX lifted it off the grouns like a feather and the lift capacity of the bx is only 460#'s. Either the old B has a weak pump on the way out or they were designed for mulch and not much more.

Just figured it's would be a cool old machine to toy around with. Old stuff is fun especially when it runs like it did 30 years ago.

I definity wouldn't replace my BX for this old B even if I got it for free. Just wouldn't come close to doing much more than a good shovel and a wheel barrow. It clearly is what it is.

There seems to be a bit of confusion as to where the 3-point hitch came from. Harry Ferguson (an Irishman) designed the hitch in the early 30's and David Brown manufactured over 1000 Ferguson-designed tractors (not at all related to the well-known N-series) with the new hitch. (Earlier he had played with his hitch on a Fordson but this was not successful.) This partnership broke apart and Ferguson needed to find another tractor manufacturer to work with. This is where Henry Ford comes in and the "handshake" agreement resulted in the joint-effort Ford 9N in 1939. This was replaced by the 2N in 1942. These tractors were designed and built by Ford (using Ferguson's hitch as standard equipment) and Ferguson handled signing up implement manufacturers to built compatible tools. In 1946 the partnership ended and Ford produced the 8N and Ferguson built the TO20. The two were very similar and resulted in lawsuits by Ferguson since Ford continued to use his hitch design. Lacking a good marketing base in the US, Ferguson had trouble competing with Ford and was outsold by a wide margin. Massey-Harris bought Ferguson in 1953 and combined the names to become the Massey Ferguson we know today.
By the way, this hitch was produced before any ASAE classifications but was used as the basis for the standards when they were written. The 9N hitch became ASAE Category 1.
The hitch was quite advanced in that it utilized a draft control system. A major drawback, though, was the transmission-driven hydraulic pump. In order to operate the hydraulics, the clutch had to be engaged. Most of the 8N's you see today with loaders have aftermarket engine-driven pumps to provide live hydraulic power.

My house is also a 2 story colonial modular (built from 4 sections). It was built about 7 yrs ago and it has also settled. None of the settling should've opened up sections of the vent stack, though.

I am not totally clear on your problem. There should not be any water in the vent pipes. Where my pipes leave the roof, there is a big rubber gasket. Could you have water slipping in there and dribbling down the back of it to drop off at the first sharp turn?

Is the water really coming out of a seam in the ventstack? Or is it appearing beside the piping from an unknown source?

Doesn't sound like the selection of machinery available to us here in the States is available for you. Aside from a John Deere 4110 or 4115 have you considered a Deutz AgroKid? They are readily available in Europe and Deutz has always had a very good reputation. They come equipped with a mid pto and range from 30 to 50 hp.

Just looked at your pics. Nice looking property and sorry I am laughing but a bunch of tornadao's/straight winds (a combination since the twisters were bouncing up and down and the winds done the rest) tore up 50 acres of my land in 92. Anouther storm hit in 02 and done more damage. LOL Sorry but I know what you feel like when you look at the mess. Kinda makes you sick to your stomach.
I know you probably have thought of this but a friendly reminder. When your in the blow down and you cutter is on the back watch yourself close. Only takes a second to be concentraiting on the logging road "work" your doing and forget that cutter is back there. With all the blowed down crap all over one wrong turn and your cooked. Last summer I finally got with the program and removed the cutter when NOT using it. I came real close WAY to many times or twisting it up and finally realized to get rid of it when not in use.
No help from me with the grapple (no experiance) so good luck with your project. OH yeah, Better put some mosquito spray on tomarroo. LOL Burr its cold up here still!
