It could be the bearings in the electric radiator fans. They will be running after the engine is off depending on how hot the coolant is. It's possible the fans aren't running when the mechanic looks at it.

Just a little on how hard things might be to locate. Had a local TLB full size that nobody could fix! We did and it took quite a bit to figure out. We worked on the lift cylinders,valve and the complete system as the main loader boom jerked while raising,the bucket worket fine and there was a jerk on the main backhoe boom while raising. Under the right step was the fiter for the hydraulic system,which we did change the filter and did notice a dent in the cover but there was no visual leak of oil at all. It did allow air to be sucked into the system and cause the jerkyness!!!!

My Kubota Loader manual for my la352 loader calls it "Peeling and Scraping". The end result is digging, I guess. Prior to the B7610 I have I rented a very large skid steer that had a bucket at least 10 times heavier duty than my la252.

I have to say that "your local ground conditions" will really determine what you can do with no toothbar on your bucket. I tried peeling and scraping in my hard rocky soil, and it was really hard on the machine.

I think that if you have the rocky soil like I have, buying a box scraper with scarifers will greatly ease the scraping and pealing operation and save damage to your loader. These comments are probably most relevent to lighter duty loaders like I have on the B7610.

While the 'add ons' like the one shown are very reasonable in price, and certainly easy to install, in practice they don't work anywhere the same as the forks with grapple do.

The forks go under the brush piles or logs, the bucket sides prevent this for the most part.

Based on our experience you only pick up about 1/3 the material in each bite using a bucket/grapple combination that you would using forks & a grapple. If all you are doing is one tree, or some yard clean-up work around the house it may be all you need, but for any quantity of material it is not the best choice.

It is what it is. It has been discussed and proven that KK stuff is on the lower end of quality. I have looked at their boxblades and their rear blades. Their boxblade quality doesn't even come close to the quality of my Befco boxblade nor does their backblade come close to the quality of my Woods rear blade. Thus the reason for the cheaper prices. Just look at how it hooks to the lower links on the 3 pth. The KK uses a pin for the arm to go over where as the Woods uses two pieces of steel for the arm to go between and and pin go through. That is much stronger. I'm not going into everything, just remember that heavier is not always better, you have to look at the welds, paint, thickness of steel, etc. I didn't say KK was cheap, I just said it was lower quality. As a matter of fact, if I wouldn't have gotten the Woods at the price I did, I would have gotten the KK tiller. Don't get pissed at me for voicing my opinion. You don't have to justify your purchase to me. If you are happy with it then good for you.

Hi all,

I changed the oil, filter and cleaned the screen. Still ran slow. I then fiddled with the linkages and she is now back to normal. Don't ask me what I did, I pulled them apart, cleaned and then re-assembled them exactly as they came off.

Funny you mention the new ones leak--so do mine. I'm afraid if I tighten the clamp too much the clamp will split. I have a hunch there might be tooling marks/grooves inside the rubber from when they were made causing the problem. I found the rubber line at the hydraulic pump really leaking too--and it was the clamp. I had a coolant clamp leaking on my 2003 NH skid steer too. Lost nearly all the fluid in the overflow reservoir twice before I traced it to that.

around here they have what they call attic trusses or 2nd floor trusses. The trusses are built so that you get a room 12' wide by 8' high on a 24' wide building. built acording to the estimated load and if any walls under it.

Thanks guys. I haven't had a chance to pick it up yet, but I will try to draw the oil out with a suction gun and run it some and see if it comes back.
My first thought was head gasket, but I don't know if there is any oil passages into the flathead, cant imagine why there would be?

Let's hope they don't come back or tell their buddies. I have been taken for over $40,00 in toos and equipment in the last 4 years. Some of it not insured. I you have more than 3 claims in 2 years no one will insure you, at least where I'm at SW of Detroit in a rural area.

I talked with other contractors who work out of their homes and been ripped off and all said the same thing: The professional and even not-so-professional thief will give you about 30-45 days in order to collect on an insurance claim. Within days they will come back and steal the new stuff.

Thanks everyone. My wife and I pulled in the yard tonight and there is a couple inches of snow, I said I wasn't going to plow but if I had the new tractor I would. My wife calmly said well with a cab I might want to move the snow. Go figure, but it could be worse she could not like tractors.

I have been in the market for some time now and I am still completely undecided. I was just hoping I could get some opinions on which tractor you would get. I am looking at the JX65, TN70, JD 5320, Agco Allis GT65, Massey 461. I am looking for something around 65 HP and 4X4. Eventually I want to get a loader, but this tractor will be used for an all purpose farm tractor doing 4x4 round bails. Anything that's a must have option?

I have a modular home that had similarly odd venting connections. A three inch vent ran from the crawl space to the second story. We ran our own venting but when we smoke tested, found other connections. I recall the plumber saying we could not just seal the ends but had to cut all connections to prevent accumulating condensation. I will call him to get my story straight and maybe then I will be able to offer something useful.

My stick welder is also a Lincoln 225AC. It is great.

Lately I've been practicing with my MIG, and am starting to get the hang of it. Works best on 3/16" and smaller metal, though. It'll never take the place of the big welder.

If you haven't looked at it, the Lincoln web site is a fountain of useful info. Downloadable files on rod selection, user's manuals, etc.
