"Its ok for a short time then blows." How many clearance/tail lights do you have? You may simply be exceeding the current limit of the fuse. Example, let's say your truck has a 10A fuse for this circuit and the truck draws 3A and the trailer draws 7A. The fuse will hang in there for awhile, but will eventually blow. If you only have a few lamps on the trailer, then there may be an intermittant short that manifests itself when the trailer hits a bump.

They were designed and tested by DELPHI-Steering Division which is just down the street from our shop. I understand that you can still get them but they will be discontinued soon because of lack of sales. I think they only make the 1/2 ton version. A tell tale sign of those equipped with them can be seen by a slight flare in the rear fender well, not nearly as much as a dually but just a slight bump.

I understand it is a costly option and does work pretty cool. One of the guys I went to college with in Engineering school did allot of testing on it in Michigan's U.P. in snow, ice, etc.

I've never driven one, but the ads I've seen seem really cool for backing trailers in tight places. I need a 3/4 ton truck. As I've driven past the plant, I've seen a number of them turn into the driveway and you can see the rear wheels turn. Looks kinda odd! I've also noted that the rear wheels have quite a camber to them which would make me think "uneven tire wear". The only ones I've seen on the road were driven by DELPHI engineers in and around the plant. Don't think this got much industry acceptance.

I think one of the Jap car manufacturers has this feature on one of their cars.

type forks. No, I dont use logger forks for dumping
lime and fertilizer bags, although perhaps someone
may have a way to do it, because even with the
forks, it is hard ass work dumping these bags.
I have two ruptured discs in my lower back, hardly
any cartilage left in my shoulders,arthritis and I
still catch fastpitch 2 nites a week. (I must be a
flaming idiot) I will be 50 in Sept. I still enjoy
doing it all though. I spread 20 ton of lime and 12
ton of fertilizer each year, so if someone out there
has a way to use logger forks to help - please let me
know. (just kidding!!)

The only other item I might mention is with regard to the hours on it. The British are not famous for their 'mobile electronics', just ask anybody who ever drove a British car. Many sports car types firmly believe MGB stands for Might Get Back.

The JCB uses an electronic instrument cluster. On some machines the central cluster justs stops working. This means you have no speedo or tach, no biggie, you will NOT get a speeding ticket or over-rev the engine, LOL, but it does mean that the hours meter stops working as well.

I have seen machines like this for sale, one I saw had so much wear on the bucket itself the lead edge between the teeth had worn back about 1.5", the hours meter said it had 5000 hours on it.

I have a backhoe that for the most part, works very well. But no matter what speed the engine is running at, the up/down on the boom is always very jerky and fast. Is there any way to adjust this ?, or is there some part that has worn out and needs replacing ? All other movements, left/right, bucket, and the bucket arm work very smooth with no jerky action. It is just the up/down on the main boom. Any advise is welcome and thanks in advance.

My TC33D is the same way. At first I would throw my left leg over the hump an use my toe to depress the left barke. That didn't last long. Anymore I keep the cruise on, keep the pedals unlatched and use the right brake only. Gotta wonder who designs these things. Brokenarrow, did you noticee I didn't say "builds these things"? LOL

We have two major problems for the fuel prices. The money OPEC and others funnel (through laundering to keep it hush hush) to the environmental wackos to fight any new drilling is one of them. Who can argue against pictures of cariboo frolicking in fields of wildflowers when the reality is the area was mostly barren rock with some lichen.<br>

Second as someone pointed out is we don't have refinery capacity to process the oil. It's the "not in my backyard" mentality. There is no way the tree whakos in California will let one be built there. Second, a new refinery costs about $1 billion. A pretty hefty investment. If you build it on cheap land near a slum, you get lawsuits claiming you are discriminating against minorities. If you try to put in near wealthier towns, their lawyers go after you. <br>

If you want affordable gas, someone's gotta accept the plant needed to process it.

Other than cars and pickups what other coice do we have other than diesel? Indoor forklifts are about the only thing we see using propane. A friend of mine used to use propane powered medium duty trucks, but doesn't anymore because they were worthless at trade in time. Hydrogen is another possibility, but I think that's a long way off. The soydiesel and ethanol look to be our best solution, but I don't know how long that can keep up to demand. When will we stop using diesel? We really can't, perhaps we can combine trips, etc., build more efficent engines I don't know, but for right now we're kind of at the mercy of our supplyers. Frank.

I'm not sure who your question is addressing, but I will offer my thoughts. I found the Jinma not to be quite enough chipper for MY needs. That would also be true of any other 6" chipper, so it's not a knock against the Jinma. I bought a Bandit 150 tow-behind 12" capacity machine that is quite a bit more chipper, and 10 times more expensive. That said, the Jinma requires a few minor tweaks to get working reliably and then works great. Yes, it requires some maintenance, but that is also true of any other comparable chipper. I actually could use both chippers but don't currently have room to store the Jinma so I'm selling it. If offered a Jinma or a comparable Bearcat or Valby for the same price I'd go Bearcat or Valby, but with a $2-4k price difference the Jinma is a heck of a value.

THe Woods Tiller Manual I download last week says not to have angles exceeding 35 degrees between the articulations in the PTO shaft. Could yours be in that range when you lift your tiller all the way?
