You might have to look at those ugly marks till the ground dries up some in the late spring/early summer.

If you try to get on the ground too early you will likely tear it up more than you will fix it.

The rototiller is one suggestion, but IMHO, churning up the ground further is just asking for trouble. You will mix topsoil and subsoil, end up with little or no compaction and so ongoing settling, unfortunately I must say hand tools are likely your best bet.

Look at pics 2 and 4. It is the box mounted behind the loader tower. It reads the elevation of the 3-point arms in 1/4" increments so I can repeatedly set a rear implement at the same level.

I hope you find out soon. At our facility, the company pulling out of talks would signal to start watching for trucks to be hauling the tools out of the factory. Our lines could be disassembled and be up running in Mexico in less than 120 days.

From the different threads here regarding tillers, it appears there is a preference for the gear drive. Can anyone explain why? Are they simply more rugged?

Well, given that you haven't seen my name on the roster of Olympic weight lifters, I think I'll keep them as separate 22 pound disks, rather than a single 500 pound wheel weight! (grin)

Seriously, I am just going to use the four half inch carriage bolt holes that are provided on the wheels. I've got deep dish R4 wheels that are a good ten or eleven inches deep. Loading the weights up will be a challenge, but not impossible.

One idea is to park the tractor on a side grade incline so the wheel I'm working on is leaning into the tractor, that way the weights will not want to tip out of position. Then if I just lay a spacing bar in the bottom of the wheel to hold the weight stack up while I get the bolts cinched up, it should work fine.

Twenty two pounds at a time is just fine by me thank you very much! (grin)

My guess is they run things like a small operation. What I mean by that is they really dont push their products through any larger campaign by either commericals, advertising, and from what I see a large Marketing effort.
You see Deere everywhere, but of course they have been a trade name for over a hundred years or more...
More dealers would be a good start, to help with the push..

I hardly know anything about the guy. I haven't read Rolling Stone Magazine in a long long time. But it sounds like he was a bitter guy in general.

That's a pretty harsh thing for his son to find. I always have a hard time understanding suicide. There's not a lot you can say about it......It's sad.

The DK 35 PTO is electric over hydraulic.<br>
Does the PTO shut off if you pull the fuse ? If it does than the switch may be bad.<br>
If the PTO contunues to run with the fuse pulled it would likely be a sticking selenoid or valve.<br>

looking to sell my 750 and have no idea of worth. i don't know the year. it has 857 hrs and a 70 loader, snow blade, & mower deck. deck and tires are poor. runs good.

JDCMan, your comments are well heard. I too have become despondent about our two parties. Neither represents my views, I have affinities and problems with and for both. I have this theory: I call it "The big boiling pot of jam theory". I shall explain. There used to be a mix of ingredients that made a republican political platform, and a different set for a democrat platform. Now they just throw whatever goes into a big pot boil it all up and call it a campaign. In the the end republican jam tastes the same as democrat jam. Each party will tell you "my jam has strawberries in it", or "mine has grapes" but in the end its just jam, and if I wanted grapes I would buy grapes not jam. Its no longer about values, its about money and the whole lot of them lie like their pants are on fire. What kind of system are we in when we have organized groups whose sole purpopse is fact checking the campaigns. It makes me sick, I have never been so disillusioned with our political process.

As you know, I asked for toys for the Iraqi children<br>
over here and several people (Americans that support us) sent them over by the box.<br>

On each patrol we take through the city, we take as<br>
many toys as will fit in our pockets and hand them out as we can. The kids take the toys and run to show them off as if they were worth a million bucks.<br>

We are as friendly as we can be to everyone we see, but especially so with the kids. Most of them don't have any idea what is going on and are completely innocent in all of this.<br>

On one such patrol, our lead security vehicle stopped in the middle of the street. This is not normal and is very unsafe, so the following vehicles began to inquire over the radio. The lead vehicle reported a little girl sitting in the road and said she just would not budge. The command vehicle told the lead to simply go around her and to be kind as they did.<br>

The street was wide enough to allow this maneuver and so they waved to her as they drove around.<br>

As the vehicles went around her, I soon saw her sitting there and in her arms she was clutching a little bear that we had handed her a few patrols back. Feeling an immediate connection to the girl, I radioed that we were going to stop. The rest of the convoy paused and I got out the make sure she was OK. The little girl looked scared and concerned, but there was a warmth in her eyes toward me. As I knelt down to talk to her, she moved over and pointed to a mine in the road.<br>

Immediately a cordon was set as the Marine convoy<br>
assumed a defensive posture around the site. The mine was destroyed in place.<br>

It was the heart of an American that sent that toy. It was the heart of an American that gave that toy to that little girl.<br>

Sure, she was a little Iraqi girl and she had no knowledge of purple mountain's majesty or fruited plains. Those attributes are what keep Americans' hearts beating. She may have no affiliation at all with the United States, but she knows what it is to be brave and if we can continue to support her and her new government, she will know what it is to be free. Since I told a bad experience story about cops, it's only fair I also tell my good experience story with cops.. Trouble is, I didn't realize it was a good experience at the time.

I was in the marines, home on leave, and driving my pickup truck through Palos Verdes, Ca. at about 3am, highly intoxicated. This was 25 plus years ago and attitudes have changed considerably towards drunk driving since. But as I passed the police station (drinking makes you smart), I got pulled over. As I was pulled over, I drove up on the curb.

He gave me a sobriety test (have no idea how I did), and it turned out I had a failure to appear traffic warrent. So off to jail I go (about 150 yards away).

Im told that to get out I have to post bail. It's an odd amount (something like $74.86), and I don't have exact change. I'm told they don't have change, and can't accept $80 because that will mess up their books.

Well that pretty well pisses me off (but I keep that to myself). Shift changes, and none of the new cops have change. About 8 hrs later, the janitor comes in, and lo and behold he has exact change to break my 20, and I get to bail myself out.

Well I was pissed about that for years and years, but it was only many years later, that I realized the not having change thing was a ruse, just to keep me in the pokey long enough to sober up.

The guys didn't wnat to bust the marine with DUI, but they weren't about to let me drive anymore. So, they wouldn't let me make change for 8 hrs or so, long enough to sober up.

It sounds like a small thing when I write it down klike this, but it makes me smile everytime I drive past that police station. I'm pretty grateful in hindsight.

Regarding hothead cops, I always thought that 21 was too young to give a guy that much power and responsibility.

I saw a lot of guys (MPs) get just ruined in the marines. You take an 18 year old, give him a ticket book and a gun, and it seems to just jack up the personality of about a third of them.

I always thought that it would be good if the minimum age to become a cop was thirty. By then, they start to mellow and have a bit more perspective and maturity.

It's a highly stressful job, and it changes those who have it. Especially those in high crime areas (like the cops in the first story I told where the cops were arguing whether to shoot me or not).

I wouldn't want the job at all, (unless it was one of those bicycle cops at the beach), but I'm really thankful they exist. In the USA, we have pretty good ones by and large.

I have had several friends and a couple in laws who were cops,. All of them were slightly off (especially the undercover one), but I can defintely understand why.

Their divorce and suicide rate kinda says it all. How do you turn that stuff off when you get home?

No not really, BUT A DEALER in your area may have one on his lot or can find one in his network for less and new styles are out and if it helps you, I do transfers everyday and we all benefit by helping the customer!!

I worked every day for 6 years 100% stainless. Worked for Tri-Clover we developed pumps fittings and valves for the beverage and dairy industry. Most of the work I done was with 316L but a smaller % was with 303,304 and 316. When I got back into the tool and die industry and worked with regular old tool steel and or (LOL) Cold rolled I forgot what stainless was like to work with till now. After awhile you get used to it but AVR8 is right on tract.

I am going to move soon, either in a few months or in 4 years. LOL One or the other. I live right on Lake Michigan (1 1/2 miles away) For the last 12 years or so we have not had a real spring and our fall seems to run right into winter (after a week of fall). Some like the temperate climate here. Except for the heart of winter and summer) whatever the Lake temp is and the wind direction you can add or subtract about 10 degrees. SO that make us about 50 degrees in Late may to the early part of June if we have a east wind. My 160 acres is 312 miles north west of me. It is above the 45th parralel. Believe it or not 8 of the 12 months out of the year the average HIGH temp is warmer there than where I am. I love the cold (If we have snow) But also love spring and fall. Since we dont get much spring or fall lately it is time to move.
Texas? LOL You guys have those runt deer down there dont you? Maybe that is Florida LOL. Anywhere that the weather does not kill the bugs once a year is not a place for me. I like to enjoy the woods atleast once a year with out either being bit, stung or sucked on. About a grand an acre by me give or take depending on marketable timber or not.
