Congrats!!! Wow that is one heck of a snake. My family would freak if that was in the house. Heck they would freak if it was outside. I certainly wouldn't like it inside - although it would have come in handy last winter with the mice infestation.

I guess training is a big part of that picture but, so is the ability to keep a cool head and to think under pressure. Why is it that many people who are "trained" and have a license to operate a motor vehicle know how to get their car out of a skid in the winter snows and others just make it worse. The same applies to many other things in life , including the use of firearms.<br>

I've never hunted or owned a gun, haven't even fired one since I was a Boy Scout many, many years ago (make that many, many, many - its my birthday ;o) ). However, I STONGLY support the rights of law abiding citizens to do so. I told my wife that I may join the NRA if only because they are one of the few groups fighting for the rest of us to keep those rights.<br>

When the loss of those rights get any closer I may buy some various firearms and they will be the un-registered, un-traceable type. This way when the government comes after the law abiding citizens to turn them in it won't be only the criminals that have them. Don't think that it won't happen. It already has in the USA pertaining to certain types of "assault" weapons. Even Police Officers who had them registered in their own personal collections were forced to turn them in.<br>

Earlier discussion in this thread had some liberal psyco bable about big cities and a different way of life and how if you got rid of guns crime would go down. Well guess what - it ain't true. I grew up in a big city and I'm no murderer. I learned how to avoid trouble, how to work out my differences without shooting anyone. All that mumbo-jumbo about the poor inner city folks is just excuses - the crutch that the liberal thinking keeps giving them - the poor babies they don't know of any other way to take care of themselves.<br>

And as far as more guns = more violence - I believe the equation is more closely like this: more guns in the criminals hands + less jail time - guns in law abiding citizens hands = more violence. There is some truth to an eye for an eye. The way to do away with bullying is to let the good guys smack the bullies up side the head. After a few times they figure out its not worth picking on the little kids anymore.<br>

One last word. In the last several years when (I might have the countries wrong but, I don't think so) when England and Australia made their law abiding citizens turn in their previously registered legal firearms guess what happened? Home invasions rose dramatically because, after all, those smart criminals knew that the law abiding citizens, that are their usual victims, couldn't shoot them anymore!<br>

Have been looking a purchasing a NH TC 40 or 40D. My main concern is the loss of horse power at the rear tires with a Hydrostatic transmission, as compared with the shuttle shift.<br>
MY question is, is there a small or large difference. The NH will be moving a lot of dirt from one place to another. Thanks for any advice!

The fine print on my CNH warranty certificate says exactly this:<br>

"Repairs or replacements will be performed by the Selling Dealer, following delivery of the Product by the purchaser to the Dealer's place of business. At the customers [sic] request, any New Holland dealer authorized to sell and service the described Products shall perform the repair at its dealership"."<br>

That means at my request, I can go to any authorized dealer for warranty service. In legal contracts, the word "shall" generally means must.<br>
<br>
It further states:<br>

"To obtain warranty service, the purchaser must (1) report the product defect to an authorized New Holland dealer and request repair within the applicable warranty term and (2) present evidence of the warranty start date."<br>
<br>
It has got to be somewhere in the dealers' agreement with CNH that they will provide warranty service for anyone who shows up with a valid claim within the warranty period. Other than generating sales, this is a big reason to have an authorized dealer network. <br>
<br>
Without such provisions, you couldn't move out of the selling dealer's area, sell your tractor out of the area, operate your tractor out of the area, or buy a tractor out of the area and get warranty service.<br>

Any opinions on the 28hp 6284 vs the 23hp smaller 5234? Both come with 60" deck, but the 5234 is $4000 less. It seems both are good buys for using as a mower, and a FEL. I don't know if the extra power and top speed would make the 6284 worth the extra bucks. I like the small turning radius of the 28hp model, much better than the competitors.

for filling those holes, I would use smaller rod than 1/8" in a low penetration rod like 6013 or other, and therefor a lower amp setting. I would also fill the holes as much as possible with a scrap of steel, with a plasma cutter that should be easy. Anyone out there have a good material for template making? I was thinking poster board. Luan seems too difficult, cardboard is also. Please something readily available and cheap, not the extra stuff the new reactor core was wrapped in when you were working at the nuke plant and they were just going to throw it out ;)

This is my first post, Please Help! I have a B6200 Kubota Diesel 4x4 loader tractor. I think I will need to replace the engine soon, and see one on ebay that I need to know if it will work as a replacement (ebay id 3874202265) ends soon, please hurry!. The engine I am looking at is a model 850-5B 17 horse. I know my engine is a 15, but maybe the 17 will work in it's place? The engine I am looking at came out out a B1550 kubota. If you use 55 watt halogens, which is a pretty popular aux. light, they will draw about 4.5 amps each. You should be able to find your alternator capacity in your owners manual. Remember to add your stock light draw to the aux. if you will run both at the same time. ( I=P/V )

Just a word of caution, I would assume your tractor is still under warranty from the model number. Using cross referenced filters could cause you problems should you end up with a warranty issue. You should probably stick with the Kubota parts for now ( IMHO ).

All you engineers out there, I need help with an algebra calculation. If your traveling at 3 mph. your tip speed is 1395fpm. a two blade cutter and it is 72" wide.
Now you run over a ground hornets nest and given the rate of 275 hornets exiting the nest per second , how many hornets would actually die and how many would sting your ass assuming you increase your speed to 12mph after the first stinger hits your neck?
I will give you a real life answer in about 5 months but would like to be prepaired with enough medicine ahead of time.

2ndhandlion, I am using cable internet - so I am not sure I can do better with satellite - plus they charge you and extra $5 for each tv. Rwacho - I am talking my wife into scheduling an appointment. But we will also request that whoever they send out is professional and clean cut - or my wife will call the police. I also better check with my 17 year old son to make sure he has nothing hooked to our system I don't know about.

One time the cable company slowed our internet service because my son was using Kazaa and acting as a server for so many other people. The other day I went upstairs when my son was gone and the computer was whirring away - I shut it off and it said there were 3 people logged on. My son came home and asked why I shut the computer off, he was accessing it from his friend's house for music. It's hard to keep up with the kids nowadays.

I had similar probalems on my '98 tahoe. When I was below 7MPH, anitilocks would kick in, at first when I had brakes engaged, later anytime. Turns out little known chevy bulletin - I had rust built up under the front sensors, pulled them, scraped the area, liberal grease coating, re-installed and I am still good 2 years later. Not fun to pull, figure 2-3 hrs to do both sides if you are a shadetree like me. Hope that helps.

I once got pulled over, the cop called for backup and two cop cars were there. Cop asked me if I knew what I did, I said no, he said the gas station I was just at said I left without paying. They made me lean over the car, frisked me, etc. I told them I paid - told them how much the gas was, and how much change was in my pocket. They said they were taking me back to the gas station to pay the bill - I said I would not pay because I already had paid.<br>

They put me in my car, got behind me and in front of me, and we proceeded back to the gas station. Then they pulled me over again - I thought they were going to beat me or something. They got out - told me they called the gas station, and the person at the station no longer was sure I was the guy who didn't pay. The cops told me I could go, and never apologized.<br>

Now I never pay cash at a gas station. I always use a credit card because of this story.

Since the middle of Dec. when I installed the new tank with all PLASTIC and no cast, I have not had a problem. (Shhh I did not want to say anything till a few months, you know that Murphys law)I use just regular old harveys sealant for the threads (all I could find in the store and since I had it already just used what I had). NO LEAKS and there is a heck of alot of water I can run between the pump turning on now.
Only thing I am not sure of is the pressure still wont stay up at 60psi. It shuts off at 60 and quickly drops to around 54 and stays there. Dont know if the older pipes in the other house has a light pressure leak and at 54 it is not large enough to push out anymore or what. But I am real happy with it at 54 down to 38 before it kicks. I used to have a 30/50 before I installed the larger 40/60.
I turned the setting on the new one to click off at 56 now and it turns on at 35. Thats more than enough pressure and dont want to create more of a headache than I need if too much pressure is on the older pipes?

200 ft lbs of torque!! Compare that to the 75 ft lbs put out by a 1200 cc Harley. The weight isn't unreasonable for a sport type bike either. It's only about 100 lbs heavier than a typical 1 liter replica racer. Maybe only 20 HP less too.<br>
