I am 'genuinely' interested in the reasoning behind your POV, and why you think I'm wrong.<br>

Surely there must be reasoning you have other than you just hate war, or bush, or whatever.<br>

Do you not see the threat looming by not doing something about this guy as well as the others in that region?<br>

I need to be 'convinced' through reason, not emotion, that there is a 'better' way. I need an alternative plan to war. One that works. Not the failures we've already tried. That's the main reason IMO, that the dems lost in this election. They critisized bush policy without offering an alternate plan of their own.<br>

I've made my reasons for supporting the war pretty clear I think. So in the interest of 'peace' I want to try and understand your vision for US policy in the Arab world as well as that with Korea, china, Europe and the UN.<br>

I am not just trying to argue. There has been some heated dialog on this subject around here (as well as in the country in general), and I can't for the life of me understand the other sides point of view. But I do want to try and understand why they have come down on this issue the way they have. I sincerely hope it's not just because of political bias.<br>

I just don't see any historical precedent where ignoring or placating evil men has succeded in neutralizing the threat those men pose.

A disk/harrow to break up the top layer soil to establish a seed bed and a small pto spreader for spreading lime, fertilizer, and seed would get you started. A rotary cutter or some kind of finish mower to keep the pasture cut once you get it established will also be a consideration. Get with you local agricultural extension agent about the soil test and recommendations for lime, fertilizer, and seed application. That should get you off to a good start.

I had gotten upset enough that I sent their customer service rep an email. I explained the benefits of LeanSigma to business processes with the end result usually being improved customer service and productivity. I then offered up my services as a certified Greenbelt. I wouldn't be doing it for money. I can use the experience for my blackbelt certification and maybe I could help others avoid the same horrible experience.

With so many options becoming available today, the smaller local companies need to have superior service or they will die. But they don't seem to get it. I'm also going to convert my customer service email into a hard letter that gets sent to their head honcho. Maybe wake them up over there.

I work & plow with a 2002 F250 5.4. I drive and move my equiptment with a 2003 Chevy 2500HD 6.0. I can't help you with any deisel info. As far as I'm concerned the chevy is a much better truck. It will out pull & out handle the ford. and is a much more comfortable truck to drive & ride. Mechanically I've no serious trouble with either, and as a previous poster stated the chevy dealer is much better to deal with and worked much harder to sell me this truck.

I am planning to plow and pick rock the first time before tilling. I have been there before picking after tilling. 1 rock is now 3 LOL. Dont think there is anyway around it though if you till before you pick rock.<br>

Pretty bad year for us (good for the deer) I was shamed nto harvesting a smallish 9pt. My son was ribbing me pretty good about not seeing any deer. I went out that day with intentions of lowering my requirements just a tad. Unfortunately the deer I took had only a 13" spread. It had a dished rack on one side and was not letting this one go only to see it at 100yrds to be a shooter. Last year I did that, let one go and afterwards kicked myself cause I realized (after further review, my brother-in-law shot it) LOL it was pretty decent. Anyway we saw next to no deer. The same 4 were coming to the plots in daylight 1-mother 2 fawns and a forked buck. Sone saw them almost every day he sat the plots. I hunt the woods and saw only that buck and 4 antlerless running with him. 2 other guys saw a 6 point and let it walk and only 1 more doe. I thought, "what the heck is going on here!) I set out a game cam on Monday and on Wed. I returned. after season I was all depressed, got the picture developed and just about hit the ground with my son! Some real nice bucks were on it. 6 different bucks total all in one night.! Looks like I need to revise my plans on how and where to hunt. The game cam gave me new hope and a vision of where these bucks are holing up during the day. Anyway I posted a pic of it with my son and his friend at picture 19 (sorry the only one I have of it, not nice enough to brag so one was enough lol)<br>

For what ever reasons the bucks were utilizing the plots exclusively at night. We had 5-6 guys surounded in the 240 acres we were hunting. We saw squat for deer movement. Wi. also had a antlerless hunt 3 weeks prior and that may have contributed to the lack of movement. Dont really know but the deer cam pics saved me from laying down black top in all the pots and calling them a road. Seems like thats where I saw more bucks this year, on the roads.<br>

Howe's Diesel Fuel Treatment is what Over the road trucks use alot, can be bought in any Truckstop/Fuelstop. 1/2 gal. is approx. $10-11.00 & it tells how to blend , you can get lesser amounts,depending on your fuel usage. It doesn't take much(per directions) & won't hurt your engine.

I have a 84" Woods finish mwr.,that I use a JD 1530 to pull it with. Although I have no weights of any kind on this tractor , the weight handling capability of your 790 is what I would think about. I hooked a local friends JD955 to my mwr. & had plenty of HP. to cut the grass (surprised me) ,but we tried to pick it up & was a bit too much for it ,without overloading it. When I go over steep inclines with 1530 , Mwr. seems to push the tractor & tractor weighs approx.4600#. Just some info, hope it helps,I kinda wish I had bought the 72" ,but at the time had a 3020 to use & couldn't. Good Luck

Same story as Ret.....KCC needs to get their act together! My new 3430 was delivered 2 days before Thanksgiving and I LOVE IT, but after calls, I finally got a payment book in mid-January, along with past due notices!

I can see your point about the extra $25K. I'd be sitting with the grant money waiting for homes to come on the market. Then I'd make a fair offer and buy them up. Heck, if the asking price is fair market value, then pay them. I can see offering to sweeten the pot for those that don't want to sell. But maybe they can come up with a designation for the area that removes them from eligability for flood insurance. So if they flood again, they lose everything. Hence, an incentive to sell at fair market value.

The place near me is on a pretty 5 acres of land. All low land. They dug out a pond in the back, but never lined it with clay so it's water level is below the river. The yard is mostly weeds and still has junk piles in it. Nice looking house though. Their asking price was over $300k. Way to much for 5 acres with a bad pond, a worthless shop in a flood plain, and a house that still needed to be finished. The sales listing tried to put a positive spin on it by saying you had the chance to pick out your own carpet color and tile color. Yeah, that's home I want to buy.

I don't always understand it. But when you get burocrats and politicians together... you know someone is gonna get screwed and it ain't them.

Winnipeg has a neat system around their city for diverting the Red River during flooding. Keeps most of the water out of the city by flooding drainage ditches and low lying areas around the city. Makes nice storage areas.

The seal on my pto shaft is leaking and needs replacing. whenever I loosen the (4) bolts on the seal housing cover plate to get to the seal, the whole splined shaft wants to come out with the seal housing. If I remove the entire pto shaft, whats behind there? In other words, will I be able to just slide it back into where ever it needs to engage back in to, or is there some sort of gear or something that's gonna drop down when I remove the shaft completely? Ever better, should the seal and housing slide off the shaft without removing the splined shaft, and if so, then why isnt mine doing that and how would you suggest separating the two. <br>
Didn't mean to write a novel, just wanted to be sure I gave enough info for the gurus out there to go on! Thanks!

Well I am sure many people will all have differing opinions on all this. My 2 cents as a hobby welder: When you weld new ends on cylinder for real, be careful of getting the internal seals too hot and melting them. I guess short of dismantling it, extend it all the way and protect the shaft from splatter. Possibly wrap some sort of heat sink around the shaft at the opposite end. I know the rod you bought is rated for AC and DC, but not being a pro and just taking advice of others, I have found 6011 to be better on AC and 7018 to be better on DC. My dad always says odd numbers AC even DC? 6011 gives very good penetration but an uglier weld so I run it on the lower pass to get deeper and then 7018 on top to be pretty, and stronger. I am relatively new to 7018, just finishing my first 5 pound box since I did not have a DC machine before. I used to use 6013 for pretty stuff. My 7018 runs beautifully but once you stop, it is a pain to start again compared to 6011 and 6013. It seems the end coats over with slag and you will see how miserably hard that slag is compared to the 60xx rods. Certainly thicker is easier especially for 6011. I run my 7018 1/8 inch around 140- 145 amps dc and 6011 1/8 around 125 ac. for thicker metals.

Sounds like you may be needing a transmission/hydraulic oil & filter change. The suction screen may be clogged with some type of crud or debry. Be sure to check and clean it as well. Check your owner's manual about this. It should cover this task and specify the filters (usually suction, hydrostatic, and suction screen) that must be changed or cleaned. DO NOT continue to run the machine until you have done this or determined what the problem is as you could be burning up the hydrostatic pump and or hydraulic pump. Hopefully this is the problem and it is not the pump itself. Good luck and let us know how things turn out.

$FYI in case anyone cares, you can get the GD1250 shop manual via links on hondapowerequipment.com. Seems the Engine and Frame shop manuals are seperate from the main shop manual, you need all 3 apparantly to complete the set. Says that right in the prefrace of the main shop manual, all I had to do was RTFM.$ Honda 6522 smoking at idle

Don't know an exact number but it is also the TC 55 and 48's also. Plus with the TC55 and 48 there is a recall and the draw bar. You can not get the required 14" for pull type 540 rpm implements.
