My tractor also has a small toolbox behind the seat. I'm in the process of making a large one to hold pliers, screwdrivers, adjustable wrenches and a hammer along with misc. pins. I'm starting with an ammo box which offers dry storage and being a polymer it won't rust. I've gotten the box out of Cabela's.

Sounds like you should be in good shape if your neighbor is willing to help you out. That would be the least frustorating for you. People here wnat to help and usually have some good advise but it is usually very difficult to explain procedures through writing alone.

Funny, right after I posted, I did the same thing. We were probably looking at the same two pages of results.

I had one of the fuel injection pump bolts come loose. The problem is they are 5 sided bolt heads! No one has the tool. Finally got it loose and replaced it with a cap screw. Strange. The 6522 is a great tractor. I'm looking for a Honda backhoe for mine.

This topic has been very enlightening, especially for diesel "newbies" such as me. It's discussions such as this that make this discussion board so valuable. Thanks to all and particularly Paladin for his "in-depth" explanation. I'm sure we'll all benefit from it.

Kyvette, your response is expected :) I certainly don't think my BIL actually has ever smashed any glass since he is the honest type and is a church elder. He was speaking hypothetically. However I do know that he has handled the live wires coming into a house rather than bother calling the power company to shut the power off. He carefully inserts a block of wood between the hot leads and tapes the wires around the leads and the block. He would rather risk his life than bother calling the power company. (I know that this will evoke even more response!)

I have a Woods FEL and BH on my BX2230 and it would nearly impossible for a dealer not to warrant it since the manufacturer would have to prove the aftermarket attachments caused the issue. Theirs a law that covers this but the name eludes me right now. I'll look it up.

I can confirm what Tommy says, it's a JM304 under that funky paint job. Quite likely with the Yangdong Y395 engine, but I've seen one with a Y480. Is yours a three or four cylinder?<br>

I still have the installation instructions for my rear light and it lists models 4200-4700 and 4210-4710. The wires you are looking for are purple (hot) and black (ground). You can find them on either side of machine and at one piont the purple ends and is taped over. There may be an end on the black too, I can't remember. The purple is specifically for the rear light and is in the wire loom bundle behind and under the seat and by the 3 point rockshaft attachment area. It will operate when the switch is turned all the way on with the head lights and marker lights, not with the flashers.

Well, it does depend on if your wife is the cause of your coma/incapacitation... Mine can't shoot straight and hasn't been taught very well how to handle a weapon. So I should be able to hide while she looks for the safety...

I'm learning that sometimes it's good to go along with what she wants even if it makes no sense to you. And I've only been married 3.5 years.

Renewing your vows wouldn't be so bad. It's an excuse to go on a nice second honeymoon. Besides, if she's happy, then you have avoided a potential major source of unhappiness.

The whole problem started when the pedal was stuck and broke while trying to unstick it. I was broken 2/3 of the way by the previous owner. A new pedal can't be put on unless I drive the shaft 1 and 1/2" forward, which I dare not do for the possibility of droping the woodruff key inside the Axle.
I resolved this problem by taking a piece of metal 5" long 1 and 1/2" wide and the other side 1" wide.
I drilled a 5/8 hole in the 1 1/2 side and two holes
in the 1" side.
I the sawed the 1 and 1/2 inch side in half for the length.
I tapped the the two smaller holes to 5/16.
Mounted the two pieces with the 5/8 holes on the differential lock shaft and tightened on using the 5/16 tapped hoels. It is already working. I just need to weld a small pedal on it and buy a can of green paint.

These advise the operator of equipment status and warn of any circumstances exceeding normal operating limits. The LCD (liquid crystal display) IntelliPanel� can be easily read day-or-night. Standard indicators include hour meter, trip meter, mph travel speed, rear- and mid-PTO speed, fuel, temperature and shift position."

I've got a 3130 GST and I was a little worried about how well the electronics would hold up. Almost two years now and not a glitch. My tractor doesnt live in the rain though. It spends the summers under a carport (it does get some rain spray on it at times) and the winters in the garage. I do hose the dash off just like everything else when washing it.
I could easily do without the intellipanel, it wasnt one of the selling features for me and I prefer things simple but so far so good.

DRanklin, thanks for the photo. i got a chance to take a glimse of the tractor last nifht and it is like the photo. it appears to be a little rough. looks like its been kept outside. i'll try to go by and look at it today and get a photo or two of it. see what else i can learn. Hammy

I bought my 2210 with Turf Tires last summer. I was worried about snow removal in Wisconsin but thought I'd get rear chains if necessary. I've been pleasantly surprised with the turf tire's response. No need for chains. I use the blower in "float" and get all the traction I want in 4WD. I'd look at other the uses for your 2210 to help determine which tire to choose.

With out looking I do believe that is one of the later editions that was built in the 90's.. Solid as a rock! It's what helped build Kubota's reputation in many areas as a strong performer with good longevity. That's why they had to runs of it. No it doesn't have many of the features that are standard on many tractors today or a flat deck and easy cab availablity or fit! These are good for thousands of hours of use if this tractor is right for you.
