Would any of this panel have any experience with NH clutch failure due to corrosion. We bought a NH TC40 new off the lot in 2001. (tractor is a 2000 year built) Within the first month we had the circuit breaker (8amp) replaced with a 15 amp by the dealer. Then last year, we had a 300 hour service done and was charged $600plus for that. Four days later the tractor would not start. ( brutally cold day,I kept a trickle charge on the battery and a heater on the engine) That episode was a corroded electrical controll of the fuel injection system (338 hours on tractor). The dealer said it took them six hours to locate a visibly corroded control. Now Dec 04, this tractor sat unused for two weeks. I went to use it and it wouldn't move. Turns out that the clutch had frozen due to corrosion. Now I am looking at a $1000 plus bill for the clutch replacement. You know, if this could have been prevented by a block of wood stuck in the clutch pedal, I think it should have been stated in the owner's manual. I have a 47 JD Mt and never had to block the clutch pedal. Any one else with a similar complaint. New Holland has said that the tractor is off warrenty and not their problem....I bought a new tractor just to avoid this kind of problem.

The curtis cab is easy to put on and take off. about an hour and a half but the windshield is awkward and heavy so you may want to have two people.

I fell in love with the 50th, but with a kid in college, it had to wait. However, now I'd like to have a C6. Bowling Green is only 2 hours from me, I have to schedule a trip to take a look at the C6. I have only seen one on the road and that was last October, heading south on I15 in Salt Lake City.

I had a new Nissan 350 try to show me how hot his car was a week or two before Christmas. He tried to leave me at a traffic light and couldn't do it. However, those are nice cars. Dave

Yes, knuckle, the tractor did set up for awhile. I'll try the brakes. I guess there's not a miracle cure though. If I have to split the tractor, a new clutch and pressure
plate are a sure thing. Oh yeah, also never forget to leave the clutch engaged!!

Most likely the tire is OK. I would recommend leaving the wheel on the tractor and jacking it off the ground. Then, make sure there is not dirt between the rim and tire. Next, lubricate the tire and rim with soapy water or tire lubricant that can be purchased from Carquest or other professional autoparts stores. Next, remove the valve stem schrader valve ( valve stem core) so air will quickly blast into the tire and push it out on the rim. The come along wrapped around the tire will certainly help. Also, if the tire will not seal around the rim, then you can buy bead sealer which is thick rubber glue looking stuff from a professional auto parts store.

ya i will have to call around there is 4 dealers within 50 miles. the two i ussally deal with are only about 20 miles away. Now looking at my tractor it looks like i need to remove the fender. what else has to be removed, just trying to be well informed before i try this. Also do the kit come with any instuctions. thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help. I took a look at it today, had trouble starting it 8 degrees here. The battery is either bad or maybe not charging. I will have to check it out. It looks in good shape, normal wear scratches etc. He is going to throw in box scraper and gill pulverizer for 16k. I think that it is worth it. Your imput was helpful. Thanks

Now you got me thinking about my Aux. Light brackets. Could be a mounting bolt came loose and fel into the ROPS. That is worth checking out.

I asked my dealer about offroad for my 2015 Mahindra and he said no problem, use it. At a co-op here it is $2.09.9 for #2 and $160.9 for off road, I asked the delivery man and he said it both are delivered from the same tanker, just one is dyed and the other is not. John

Original Cab is selling their older Cab's for the 4100 and 4110 on Clearance price of $550.00 including S&H. The only Diff between them and the new ones is Color. Old Color top is white and sides are yellow, New ones are Black and Green

You both have valid pionts. Seems like being extra, extra carefull might be the answer? Maybe that means do not leave a running sink under any circumstance? Just a suggestion not trying to insult anyone. In September my washing machine drain backed up from a glog. We werent home. The floor now needs to be replaced so we are in the same irritated boat Ken.

Maybe you could use the rubber chicken to lure snakes away from the house, they like eggs and birds so they would probably be tempted by a rubber chicken in the yard.

Of course you might only attract rubber snakes .....

Sounds like a charging problem or a short. First put a volt meter across the battery and see if your getting 13.5 to 14.5 volts while its running, if you are most likely the alt is OK, that's if it's a 12 volt system. If the alt checks good then check for a short with the tractor OFF. Remove a cable and run it through an amp meter and see if you have an amp draw while its off, if you do start removing items or looking for bare wires until the draw on the meter goes away. I have seen the light switches fail, in fact I just replaced one a few weeks ago on mine. Good Luck!!

Thanks for the info about the red tips, I'll start cutting them back soon. Yes the one's that you can see in pic # 3 are some of the one's that need to be pruned. I also have some that border our boat shop that are about 12' tall,I may have to use a chain saw to cut them back. I see from your info that you have a 4310,I have one too,we use it every day to move boats around in the yard,it's a great tractor to have around the shop and the house specially with the FEL with the pallet forks.
