Original Cab is selling their older Cab's for the 4100 and 4110 on Clearance price of $550.00 including S&H. The only Diff between them and the new ones is Color. Old Color top is white and sides are yellow, New ones are Black and Green

Couple years ago, I was out at -14 below watching the sled dog races at 10pm up in the Munising and Marquette area. That annual time is coming up again in a couple of weeks. A week later is the famous outhouse races of Ternary. You can still drink beer in those temperatures too. So, there is lots to do in those temperatures.

I use my windbreaker cab on my Cadet. I dress warm and usually am out for 2-3 hours at a time clearing my driveways that are about a mile apart and neighbors in-between. I've only used it down to about 0 degrees with a 20-30mph wind and it is ok. The back end is open and no top. The main thing is to crouch and high behind the windshield. Some heat comes back from the side panels.

If you have a good sized compressor, you can usually do it yourself. It takes a lot of air to fill the tire fast enough to re-seat the bead.

Here's the easy way to do it. Lift the affected tire in the air a little or remove it from the tractor. Take a canvas binder strap and run it around the centerline of the tire and tighten it up, this will cause the tire to compress around the center and the sidewalls to push out. You can also do it with a stout piece of rope tied around the centerline and a bar placed through the rope and spun to form a sort of tourniquet, but it usually requires the help of a second person. Once there is some tension on the tire start to add air, be sure to remove whatever you have around the tire once it starts holding any air at all or the tension will be dramtically increased.

If you have R-1's or R-4's this may make the process a little more difficult, but it can be done.

You both have valid pionts. Seems like being extra, extra carefull might be the answer? Maybe that means do not leave a running sink under any circumstance? Just a suggestion not trying to insult anyone. In September my washing machine drain backed up from a glog. We werent home. The floor now needs to be replaced so we are in the same irritated boat Ken.

Whoops.. I was in a rush, so let me explain more. My TP membership also just expired, so I can only read a bit of the threads.

The 2x4 stringers allow an air gap so that your roof stays cold and also so that there is no condensation within the envelope. I Didn't do this, but it is common at the higher elevations here in colorado, around the ski resorts, where OSB might as well be solid gold, since money doesn't matter. :)

What I did is really akin to a SIP - I framed my roof with trusses, sheathed it with 3/4" OSB, covered it with a fire deck (1/4" dens deck) and then had a fully adhred EPDM roof membrane installed. I didn't want to spend $1000 in pop up vents to vent this low pitch (1/2:12) roof, plus each of those vents would have a flashing which would eventually fail, causing a leak. (It's a flat roof, so I'm sure it will leak anyway, but you get the idea).

2004 code (actually, an approved ammendment to the 2004 code) allows a building designer/builder to spray a vapor impermable insulation to the underside of the roof decking (so that the insulation is on the top side of the attic, instead of resting on your sheetrock in the floor of the attic). This effectivly moves the condensation point to the inside surface of the insulation, which is now conditioned space, and thus won't condense. In fact, the code requires that enough insulation be applied to keep this inner surface above the condensation point for the area.

In my house, we designed it with a low pitch roof, and 18" heel in the attic trusses. We sprayed in ~10-11 inches, which gives around R40, and leaves the floor of the attic clear for me to snake a TV cable that I forgot or whatever now and then.

Hope this explains more. So far my temperature sensors show the roof sheating underside tracking the exterior temperature by about 2 degrees, while the inside temperature sits at around 60-66. We have radiant heat, so we don't heat much of the air, hence the lower ceiling/attic air temperatures.

I'll try to post more results as I get them, here and to my site.

Maybe you could use the rubber chicken to lure snakes away from the house, they like eggs and birds so they would probably be tempted by a rubber chicken in the yard.

Of course you might only attract rubber snakes .....

I would not swear to anything about labeling anymore. But Kero does come clear and dyed as does diesel.

My bulk tickets call clear kero #1 Diesel on road. And they call the dyed kero #1 fuel oil/diesel off road.

The only catch to the whole process is the low sulfur diesel on road and that only can be cut with clear kero or #1 diesel. Vendors do not like to call on road diesel #2 anymore either.

The big suppliers with stations do cut their fuel with kero it has been standard practice for years. The last thing any big supplier wants during the winter is a bunch of diesel rigs parked along the road gelled up with their fuel.

All that said you can buy straight #2 diesel or fuel oil. Dealers have no problems delivering straight or blending for you on site. Blending just costs a little more. But I do not think or believe you will get straight #2 fuel oil/diesel out of a service station pump anywhere in the North Countries this time of year.

With pumps at stations usually the difference in all the names is the road taxes paid at the pump and the dye.

Sounds like a charging problem or a short. First put a volt meter across the battery and see if your getting 13.5 to 14.5 volts while its running, if you are most likely the alt is OK, that's if it's a 12 volt system. If the alt checks good then check for a short with the tractor OFF. Remove a cable and run it through an amp meter and see if you have an amp draw while its off, if you do start removing items or looking for bare wires until the draw on the meter goes away. I have seen the light switches fail, in fact I just replaced one a few weeks ago on mine. Good Luck!!

Thanks for the info about the red tips, I'll start cutting them back soon. Yes the one's that you can see in pic # 3 are some of the one's that need to be pruned. I also have some that border our boat shop that are about 12' tall,I may have to use a chain saw to cut them back. I see from your info that you have a 4310,I have one too,we use it every day to move boats around in the yard,it's a great tractor to have around the shop and the house specially with the FEL with the pallet forks.

As a eletrical contractor I Have to say Never back feed a house, it can kill. The transformer out on the street works both ways if it reduces the voltage for your house it can increase the voltage from you generator. Now there are a lot of good tranfer switches out there for all sizes of generators. they will disconnect the two hot leads for the circuits you want on the generator. I have never seen a disconect that also disconnects the neutral or ground wires. Here is agood link for small generator transfers.

Only one filter as far as I know. You should drain the clutch housing if you use the tractor in rainy weather. There is a simple plug to be removed on the housing. That will be explained in the operators manual.

Limit the budget, is the best thing indeed. Why spend 10K or more on a wedding when 1K will do just fine and you can put 9K in mutual funds so your grandkids can go to collage in 18-years with 304K (do the math).

I agree with DRankin about rap (except the oral sex thing, whats wrong with that?) that shit needs to go away, it's a big negitive in our country and it leads kids down the wrong road.

dmp, aren't you clever. I used to investigate companys like that when I traded stocks, never thought of it on Ebay. I guess he could get nailed pretty easy if JD wanted to do something about it. I know HD would in a heart beat. Thanks for the heads up. I think I'll call the dealer and see what their getting a copy.
