I used this implement (SP 1272) on a JD 4210 and no longer have a use for it.

I put a Curtis soft side on mine with the Curtis heater. No fogging and warm enough for shirt sleeves down to around +10, then a light jacket is fine. I do 10 driveways at a time for my neighbors and am out for 2 hours or more.

My plan is to pull in some wires to the kitchen and mud room sinks and hook some more sensors into the existing alarm system, but having a couple of those battery powered alarms seems like a good idea until I can get roundtoit.

Harvey, I'll have to dig up the email from my dealer on this (it's on another computer) but one of the areas that should be reinforced is the bolt holes on the rear rims. The dealer said that they have often seen those holes wallowed out on mid-frame JD's with 48 hoes. I guess they weld another ring around that area. When I bought my hoe they would have sold me a 48 but charged extra for the reinforcing work.

If you are going to try to heat the floor with a liquid,
you may want to ask about a buried storage tank.
A friend has two 1000 gal tanks buried in stone hooked into his hot water system. He can let it shutdown for several days and still have all the heat he wants. Just a thought.

Go to wal mart or any other store in W.va.And you pay W.va.6 percent tax.

I got my BX in W.Va.Yet had to pay Ohio 7.50 %. There is something wrong with this picture.

The two leaders in this market both offer base tractors and deluxe models. Depending on you and your uses will seperate the right tractor for yu. The basic models don't offer much for electronics so you don't need self diagnostics as everything is more mechanical instead of electric over hydraulic for controls. The basic models do offer a reliable product but without the bells and whistles. Your dealer should be able to point out the differences when you visit him. The tractor needs to fit you and your tasks so take a good look and talk with your dealer as I've got very happy customers on both styles that swear by them but thats because they fit the needs of the operator.

Couple of thoughts and questions or opinions needed. I have been doing as much research on this as I can (when I feel like it) Opinion: First of all talking to a salesman about the pro's and cons of just about any product<br>
is in my opinion "for what it is worth" information. If the product is the only one he installs or sells more than likely you wont hear any of the bad aspects (atleast nothing he could be sued for if he dont disclose it to you). Anything that is still unfounded or proven one way or the other you wont hear about either. (That is why what Denwood just posted makes me a bit weary about this product) (good post denwood!) Not in all cases but I feel most of the time anyways. Also anyone who dont install or profit off anouther type will more than likely have the opposite opinion of a product and push their product instead. That is where places like this provide a great way to get advice. Problem with folks talking good about their system they had installed is that "SOME" folks are not seeing the forrest trhu the trees to be on the nice side. To be on the not so nice side, some folks are just to damm proud to say they paid too much for a system that really is marginal at best. That brings us to the point where we have to ask as many questions as possible and sift thru the answers to find the middle ground to get as close to the truth as possible. I so far have found (in my opinion) that this product should definatley be a possibility. I feel it may have great benifits in the right situation and applications. I also feel there may be places where it is used that would be a non factor.<br>
Tha being said (with no prior experiance with this product)there are a few questions that I feel I can't get the straight skinny on. Maybe it is because the jury is still out on the possible side effects. The scary thing is that once installed it is for all practical purposes,"PERMINANT" and it can have serious consequences.<br>
I am looking for information on ceiling instalations. Particularily in cathedral applications. From what I gather (if the info I am getting is 100% true) this system could be the best way to insulate a cathedral type construction. The old standard of leaving a 1 1/2 air gap between the roof sheathing and the insulation (if this product does what they say it does) is outdated and void with this application? (yes that was a question) What do you guys (especially the ones who have it already) feel about this. The ones that dont have it installed please way in also. I may soon be building and once it goes in the ceiling it will be perminant without ripping off the entire roof! This scares me! If making a solid insulation with this product will not hurt the integrity of the roof then I feel this is far and away the best way to go with cathedrals which all of us know have typically been the worst for energy efficency. With a system like this that may change. So here are a few questions listed that I have. My fear is not with the initial cost of application but the effects it may have on the life of the structure?<br>
1. What do you feel about having no air gap in a cathedral application on the longevity of your roof?<br>
2. If doing a roof with this product and money is a consideration. Since most homes in my area have 2x6 walls, what would you think about having the roof in cathedrals done and then have this product installed in the walls ONLY around window areas and other utility cavities that take up space in a wall?<br>
(I was thinking this would be a great way to cut the cost and achieve the most from this product barring having the whole house done in it.)<br>
We all know we can get great insulation in a open attick type setting and in 6" walls also. The windows areas have always been a problem even when the best care is took in installing fiberglass. <br>

Does anyone know of any unbiased web sites to go to? I still feel the best information would be from honest home owners. Problem is, how long has this application been in use and what will be the lasting effects of this type of instalation say in 20 years? I am really up in the air here but am leaning strongly towards trying it in my cathedrals and just around the window areas and doors(which will be alot) in the new house.<br>
If Murph or anyone in canada is posting and reading this, what is the thinking up by you guys on this? I know you guys get some real HOT summer time days (more hot than many folks can believe) and we all know about the arctic clippers we get from you air mailed to us. Is this product catching on up by you guys?<br>

I would honestly question whether a couple with this mindset is mature enough to be getting married. With the music choice and with it being so loud, they were obviously only thinking of themselves. So much of life (and marriage) is giving to others and learning how to live with compromises. If they were not thinking about others now, do you really believe that they will be thinking how to please the other later??? I really doubt it. Even though I am only 33 with no experience in the matter, I would definately stick to your budgeted amount...kids that know no bounds while growing up end up in a world filled with debt with no escape. Choices need to happen in every part of life...no one can have it all. The more you have (or try to get), the less happiness there is many times.

This is a old post being revisited and hard to tell if the original problem wasn't solved all ready. It is very easy to remove the top cover off the center console with the four screws to see where it is leaking from on the top but therre is also an external tube that from time to time causes a problem that might look or be the culprit here as they crack and will spray in different dirextions making it difficult to detect the exact leak.

Thats a lot of tractor and sounds like a nice outfit for getting some work done. Not knowing the overall condition but just taking a shot I'd say it should be in the 15 range plus or minus depending on the condition.

Thanks for all the great suggestions, I went with the blade because I just don't like the snow in my face when the wind blows. I don't have a traction problem at all, this BX2230 is awesome!!! I took the hoses and had them shorted for $10 and it looks and works great now. Anyone ever interested in selling just the FEL (LA211) without the valve please let me know. I am looking for the loader/arms/mounts.

Thanks for your advice. The update, as of yesterday, is that the control valve cover was taken off again to look for a problem in the linkage (I was not there at the time) they couldn't see any sheared pin or other fault so they put it back together again and what do you know it was fixed! None of us know why, but we're not going back inside to find out! Thanks again for taking the time to help out.

I've owned just about one of everything. We current have 6 atvs. This includes two Polaris'. Depending on how much work you want to do with it, you might look at the Polaris ATP. My dad has one and really likes it. For long term low maintenance, I'm not sure you can beat Honda, but you pay more up front for this in the big units and sacrifice some performance. I just sold a 1986 Honda that we've had for 10 years. Other than adjust the valves, I had to do no other engine work.

Everything that has been said so far is right on the money. Here's an additional thought, although I'm sure it's not something my lawyer would want me "recommending." So I'm not recommending it. That said, I found it useful a few months ago when I first got my tractor that I would very carefully and slowly -- and UNINTENTIONALLY -- lift a wheel off the ground in a controlled situation such as trying to lift a log in a hillside situation. In a few instances when I would feel a wheel begin to lift up (and see my life pass before me) I would quickly let off on the load and the wheel would settle back down without any harm. Again, I don't recommend that trial and error method, but it did give me much better feel of what it REALLY feels like when one begins to tip. A couple of times I actually purposely did some things under load on the FEL that I throught probably would make me start to tilt, but VERY slowly and carefully so I could release the pressure before anything bad happened. By the time I got around to doing serious work, I pretty much knew what my rig would and wouldn't do on a hillside. I'm no longer too worried about it tipping over in the shed, but continue to be worry abound running over that unseen rock or stump that can quickly and unexpectedly turn a marginal situation into a full-blown tilt. I try to keep a close eye out, but still have run over some surprises that gave me a scare. I don't think you can ever be too careful about that.

Only one bit of info I can pass that took me 19 years of weeded bliss to figure out. The longer you go with out, the less you miss it. The powerful messmorizing effects that (what you were talking about) used to have on us young bucks, just dont seem to have the same pull as it used to. Maybe that is why after a buck gets past his 2 1/2 year old birthday he gets harder AND HARDER TO HARVEST.
I do think it is a old trick they use, give in just enough to keep em under control.
