For residential use, I would suggest the 60" mower unless you have an unusually large amount of turf to cut. The 60" will cut better and make trimming much easier as well as manuevering in close quarters. If you want to cut up under trees and have optimum trimming ability, consider a front mower ZTR like Deere's F687.

Good man on a large excavator can rip up 2 acres a day of stumps. With the excavator you can dig a large quick hole here and there with in reach of the machine from all sides to bury the stumps, so if you have a 35 foot reach you would only need four to five holes on two acres.

grasgod, they paid 80 for a tree from a local grower. It was about 9 feet tall.

i bought this tractor new and sense then the front loader arms seem to a little loose where they mount to the tractor. i have plowed with this machine using the bucket for 4 years and i would just feel better with it mounted to the frame. The plow i bought is a 8 ft. fisher. I might think different and find a lighter plow. just tired plowing with the bucket.

OK, Thanks. I'm gonna check into the wheels and tires first, then the grapple. I just bought a 48 back hoe for her(Santa brought it).I really like the look of your rims and tires. They will help alot when useing the back hoe. Alot wider. Send some more pics! I'll take some of my 4400 and post em See Yaa!

I've got one. You are correct that Davis was a division of Case. The Davis Roadrunner was a Case 580B tractor with a trencher on the rear, backfill blade on the front, and a fixed 4 post ROPS. They were available with a D100 backhoe mounted on the front. Mine was built in 1973. I trench 12" wide and can go about 60" deep.

If this deck deal included the deck mount/lift frame and the hydraulic lift cylinder and lines; that is one heck of a good deal. Is he selling the Mid pto with it too? That is nearly a $4000 option new.

Youare right but it's way out of warranty and I bought it used from a divorce settlement. The loader is hardly worn, i don't kill it or bash it I just use it to the best of it's ability!

You are probably right about the axle seals. It has to be a factory defect that both are now leaking. One was leaking then stopped for a couple of weeks and now in the last few days they are both leaking pretty good. It looks like a pretty big job to replace them too so it may be a repair shop fix rather than in my cold garage.

I guess compared to my 1956 international 300 it;s in good shape! I don't know too many "dry" kubotas. I had an old l175 I just sold off that leaked like a bucket full of holes. Pretty much all the kubotas owners I know around here have a few leaks. I am chewing on trying to go by the book and refill the front axle with sae80 to see if it slows down.

It is normal to get black smoke under heavy load as the govenor in the injector pump adds more fuel to maintain rpm under the load. It should not be smoking much at idle. Allow a diesel to idle for prolonged periods can cause black smoking as unburned fuel can build up in the cylinder and valves (also known as "wet stacking". This is NOT good for the engine especially in very cold weather as it can lead to a bent valve or two.

If it is a contro cable that is freezing up; I can suggest an old truck drivers trick to free up frozen brakes. On the way back home from work a few years ago; I came across a semi truck and flat bed trailer that had the trail skidded off in a ditch. I stopped to help him and the driver told me his trailer brakes were frozen. I was real close to home so I drove home and got a bottle of gas line di-ice for diesel (isoproply alcohol but methyl alcohol will work too) and drove it back to the truck driver. It was a few degrees below zero and unusually cold for this area. He disconnected the air lines to the trailer brakes and poured the alcohol into the air lines and reconnected them to the vehicle line pressure port and cylced the air brakes several times. He did this about 5 times until he had poured the entire bottle into the trailer air brake lines. He kept on cycling the air brakes and finally pushed enough alcohol through the air lines to get it to the trailer brake air servos and deiced them and the water in the air lines as well. He was a real happy truck driver after that and was on his way. You could possibly do something similar with a syringe with alcohol and inject it into the control cables. This would melt and displace any water in the cable and hopfully prevent any more freeze ups. Might be worth a try. Anyhow, that is my story and 2 cents worth. Not exactly sure what the exchange rate is right now but the US dollar is at near record lows against most foreign currency which means that buying overseas products is gonna be a LOT more expensive.
