You want to be cheap, use propane to cut. It takes longer to get to cutting temp but not that much especially on 1/4". One 20 lb cylinder (I pay about $7 for a refill) will last a long time. O2 will be the costly gas. You can use same torch but need propane tip and Hose must be "T" grade, not "R" grade. Costs a few dollars more. If you want a Plasma cutter, skip the China junk. Thermal dynamics is one of the best and one is on my future "must have" list. Check Ebay for prices on plasma cutters, they sell all sizes on a daily basis, new from dealer. You will need a good way to make an accurate circle, attachments for torch or plasma are available.

FWIW, my Kubota/New Holland dealer always leans toward the Kubota, he likes the NH when they get into the next size range TN's but Kubota is always his choice and he knows both machines inside and out.

Rocco - Congradulations!! better I say this late then never. I have the same machine...you will love it! You did very well on the price. I paid $26,975 for the same set up except I didnt get the block heater or at least I am not aware if it.

Kevinator - You do have to remove the 2 bottom links to install the BH90 although on the other tractor site I saw a thread were a guy left them on & mounted & operated his BH90 hoe with no problems. I always remove mine. Take 10 - 15 minutes to do both sides & thats moving slowly.

I cant tell you anything about that machine but i can tell you that your better of with the 60". I have thought this over many times as I own 7 zero turn riders & my company cuts a serious amount of grass per week in the mowing season. The 60" will handle longer grass better & produce a better cut. It will definitly scalp less & you will have less blade to sharpen on a routine basis. I have heard lots of great feed back from local landscapers around here about the kubota diesel ZTR's! the rant & rave about it. My problem is I am all about matching fleet & I run exmark mowers & have been for about 10 years & just cant imagine an odd ball orange machine on the trailer with the red ones. This may sound a little ridiculous to you but I am very perticular about image.

You are being liberal with Kubota, I would be furious if both seals leaked with those few hours. Unless your loader is bent, cracked and looking very abused, and you boosted Hydraulic pressure to overload the axle, It should not leak. I have seen the small Deere(Yanmars) like 755 with leaks in axle but they had well over 1000 hours and looked "rode hard and put away wet". As for the axle, They never seem to break when it is warm and dry any you just pulled into the garage. More likely axle deep in mud or snow and you need to get done, not fool with pins, get it out of the mud or shovel the drive by hand. I believe I would have the shaft welded in a way that would not damage tractor, or stop proper disassembly.

Perhaps your affliction with logging seat time so you can actively report how much or how little you managed to accquire
could be measurably increased by the the time you took to record and report to the disinterested members (readers of this forum) by staying seated on your Tractor rather then at your keyboard!!!!

I checked my CD and it does say copyright so I just don't feel comfortable copying it. I just don't have luck breaking the law and for such a small return. He seems to have most manuals for JD equipment so just email him or keep watching. Several are listed now at what seems a reasonable price. Hope this helps.<br>

Looking for you guys expertise on this as I'm not postive that this is a good deal. I'm looking at a 88 JD 855 4x4 that has 1500 hours on it. It has a 72" JD belly mower deck, a 2000 model JD 420 Loader and a 5' bush hog (Farm Rite 5 I think) behind it. The tractor has turf tires on it. I'd rate the condition as good with the hood having some paint scuffs and should be painted to make it sharp. Starts great and seems to run out OK. The best I can get this thing is $8500. <br>

What about it now, jump on it? or run from it? Need to do something on it tomorrow.<br>

True the injector pump can not pump air, but also it can not built enough pressure in the lines to pop off the injectors if there is air in the pump to injector lines.

My JD 850 when under heavy load will throw the black smoke pretty good. Always has.
But it runs real well and its fun trying to make it belt out the black smoke, so I like it just the way it is !!

I had the same questions and choices when I bought a BH for my 3130. I chose the BL4890 on my dealers advice and because I would be switching from the hoe to 3 pt implememnts often. I also liked the self contained pump better than using the tractor pump. If I had to do it again, I would choose the BH90, not that the BL4690 is a bad BH. The BL4690 is everything I expected and more but I would really appriciate the extra reach and sturdyness of the BH90 and I dont switch back and forth between implements as much as I thought I would. Im still a fan of a PTO pump though.
