I'm not saying it is the correct way, but for many years all I've ever done os put a few drops of motor oil on top of the posts at oil change time. I've been told it will ruin the battery, etc., etc., but I've really never had a battery go bad that was traced to me puting oil on the posts. I tried the red spray can stuff, it really never gets underneath where it's needed. Oil works and it's cheap. Frank.

Buying a new L 3830 with 723 loader and want Kubota backhoe. I had rear hyd installed. Which hoe would be better (BL4690B or BH90. Is the BH90 hoe cheeper since it is not self contained. My dealer is trying to sell me the smaller BL4690B hoe, but I was thinking since I have rear hyd go with the BH90. Is this hoe to big for A L3830 Any help before I buy would be greatly app. Thanks,Kevin

I have to admit I was working it real hard and pulling up some big rocks. actually had to push them because it wouldn't lift them. No unusual noise or anything just stopped working and I looked under it and saw the shaft hangine there. It took all of 5 minutes to fix. But I need to get a new pin. Not sue why there would be a shear pin on a splined shaft? I'm tempted to replace it with a bolt of a soft grade.

I just checked on my BX2230 and that connection (under the seat) is serviced by a 20 amp breaker. The breaker is labeled for a "working light."

Let's see now where is that formula again? How many watts of lighting can I use? Hmmm..

It would be a catagory one hitch. Most all valves used had a detent for the float position which is all the way ahead on the down cycle. Most valves do have a cp on the oposite end of the valve of the handle and from time to time we find them full of rust which might be preventing the full stroke of the valve.

Hey if you have the RTV that has the hydraulic lift on it. Could you tell me the model number of te pump and cylinder? And how long the cylinder is?

You'd have to lift the loader up high enough to see under it too, not very stable -or- lights would be so low that they wouldn't last long without being smashed -or- reflected light off the beautiful orange bucket would dazzle your night vision.

I went with the ones from my Bobcat dealer. They are standard equip. and the ones I used are good for at least 20 GPM. Don't know size other than for a standard flow machine. Dealer will know. I priced them at other places bu bobcat was cheapest, I think around $80 for the pair 5 years ago. Males are cheaper. I like to have male and female on machine and also on implement, to insure I always hook it up the same, and when not in use, implement hooks to itself to protect from smashing ends up. Just like skid loaders come from factory. Tractors always have all females on back, but not if it was up to me.

Hey DR: How about a turbo-normalizer?

This is a turbo set up to give only enough boost to make sea-level pressure in the manifold. This should not put any more stress on the motor than running at sea-level altitude. Definitely need to add a boost gage and a pyrometer (EGT).

It may not be spring time in the Rockies but it's seat time in Ohio.

Yeah unless you ran it out of fuel then you have to bleed the injector lines too.

This Friday a BX2230 is being delivered to us. While looking at it at the dealer, I saw an inline clear plastic fuel filter. At the time I did not ask if there was another fuel filter or water separator installed. Wondering how the fuel system removes any moisture and water accumulation and if I will need to drain anything periodically, especially in the winter? I have been reading this forum for a few week now and just joined this morning. Thanks.
