Had a nice Christmas but not box scraper. The item under the tree was not what I thought it would be, yes it was green color as jd but take a look at the attached photo. It is a trike for my granddauther.

So what is the best way to get tilt in your 3p? Do you get an accessory hyd cyl? Do you have to take a hyd line from the FEL, or can you easily add an accessory hyd line? I've been kind of thinking of getting a tiltable rear blade instead of, or in addition to a box blade. Manual tilting may not be too big a hassle, given that you want to get a consistent angle anyway.

To all: So this seems like a pretty useful resource, but he doesn't have a lot of data yet. I noticed that he didn't have anything for a 790, so I sent him a pretty complete set of data for it.

May I suggest that others take a few minutes to fill out a similar table for any tractor they have the data for? If everyone takes a few minutes, we can build up a pretty good source of data that we'll find useful.

If everyone does a little, it's not a very big job.

Art, I think if I did alot of backhoe work the L48 would be a better machine, reasons, because of the reach, that extra power,and the hydraulics you mentioned. If Kubota is ok with loading the tires it would be even better. You can toss the L48 around with the hoe in tough digging or frozen ground because of the stick length and power. John Deere says don't load the tires on the 110 unless used without the hoe, I guess you have to have two sets of tires and change them when you take the hoe off, I don't think so. Don't get me wrong the Kubota is a great machine and I have alot more respect for my local Kubota dealer and the company then Deere at the moment.

When backing up a hill many units won't release with out difficulty. When you do back up stop with the brakes! Then the transmission is not doing the stopping for you and it should release.

Don't use JD's hygaurd if you can get the super udt! I'd only use that in case of emergency and would change it as soon as possible. Your results would be the same as udt's.

I would stick with the block heater from Kubota. The oil cold or not will be flowing with the first revolution of the engine. Yes it will slow the engine cranking some but that gives more time for lubrication to the engine. I do believe they are using aluminum pans on most tractors but a quick test with a magnet will tell you for sure. I also like the tank heaters and they have proven to work the best but there is not a lot of room under the hoods of these tractors to fit one in.

I have a TC33D and now looking to add a loader. I am looking at both the old 7308 and the new 14LA. Can anyone give me pros and cons of buying either. Also, if you have a 14LA how do you like it.<br>

I was not to happy to see Morton putting support wood into concrete.. as down here in Florida I have seen pressure treated wood be eaten up in less than 1 year..as it was just laying on the ground, fence posts in concrete rot as well.. .. Morton uses 3 pieces of 2 x 8" pressure treated boards as support and truss beams, if I recall correctly.. building sure looked nice at the Georgia Expo though..

When I said NH had bad specs, I should have added that they used to have some of the best. I keep a large archive of equipment literature, and dug up the info for the tc33d with the 7308 loader. I have the turning measurments. Turnaround DIAMETER(the circle it leaves) tc33d with brakes(I's like to see them do that since only hydro available. I guess they ride sidesaddle) 102", with supersteer, 60.5 ", A big difference. Now for turning radius,(center of the circle to outside of tractor) tc33d with brakes 96.5", with supersteer, 93.8", a gain of 2.7 " For this machine with 7308 a small benefit. With the newer loader 8"longer, I think it may be a loss.

Could it be a sticky solenoid controlled valve (assuming there is some electrical interface)?

My dealer is pretty cool when it comes to customers asking his mechanics for advice (I will either call or stop in and talk to them). They are happy to give advice because they are so backed up with work and I'm one less thing they have to contend with.

I have a TC33D with Super Steer (no loader). My neighbor with same machine has a loader and says since the SS axle sits much further forward it has more stability vs. non-SS which he tested. I dislike NH cutting brakes on same side as HST pedal (what were they thinking!).
The SS is superior for doing close-quarter grading work or brush cutting--it's like driving a hi-lo forklift forward.

An 855 4WD for that price is an outright steal! For that price, I take it that it must be an 1989 or early 90's model. Unfortunately with 19 pto hp. I doubt you will be able to run a 6 ft. rotary cutter. 5 ft. would be pushing it in any type of tall grass or brush.
