That remeinds me of my Fatherinlaw who was quite handicaped. he installed a garage door opener drive track about head high above the basement steps with a hook on it. When he had something to take up or down the stairs he either put it in a bucket or hung the item itsself on the opener chain hook, pushed the botton and "presto gaztts" there it went. And if I remember correctly someone gave him the opener. I've allways admired folks like your Cousin and the Dad inlaw who could make something out of nothing. Merry Christmas. Frank.

When I said NH had bad specs, I should have added that they used to have some of the best. I keep a large archive of equipment literature, and dug up the info for the tc33d with the 7308 loader. I have the turning measurments. Turnaround DIAMETER(the circle it leaves) tc33d with brakes(I's like to see them do that since only hydro available. I guess they ride sidesaddle) 102", with supersteer, 60.5 ", A big difference. Now for turning radius,(center of the circle to outside of tractor) tc33d with brakes 96.5", with supersteer, 93.8", a gain of 2.7 " For this machine with 7308 a small benefit. With the newer loader 8"longer, I think it may be a loss.

I'll add my 2 cents. I agree exactly with Lucerne's points. I have spent many hours in a skid loader, and owned a 1997 bobcat 873 from new for 3 years. they have their spots where they outshine all else, but for me, they are a bull in a china shop. They are great if the ground is super hard like pavement, or if it is somewhere you just don't care like a new construction site. On finished softer ground, you can get one or 2 passes maybe, then things start to really tear up. You save 1 hour on hand labor doing a small task and spend the hour repairing what you ripped up. They are terrible on soft ground. I got stuck too many times, then I would have to dump the bucket and push myself out with it. My best friend called to ask which skid loader to buy and I said one with tracks. He wined that they cost an extra 10,000. I said fine, demos are free, just try them all and you decide. It took him one day and he bought the bobcat T190. He loves it although is has had its repair problems. He has never been stuck and claims to do jobs just not possible and in weather not possible with a skid loader. The only way I will ever buy another is if it is so cheap, I know I will resell it and make money. My wheel loader is perfect for my applications. I can and did just today, drive it for 4+ hours over the same soft gravel with just the pattern of the tires left.

An old-timer buddy who used to erect metal buildings told me that all-metal buildings will sweat much faster than a wood-n-metal. And for that reason roof insulation must be used. Otherwise, there will be annoying puddles of water everywhere condensation finds a place to drip from. Another thing he says preserves the life of a building (wood or metal) is to build a masonry (block/brick) wall from the footer up about 4-6 feet. Then start the siding from there up. This prevents rain splashing which will rust the panels, and reduces damage to siding from errant tractor rides and mowers. Building a block wall also adds security as, at least in our area, there have been been many break-ins where criminals have unscrewed siding panels or cut them with a cordless drills or circular saw. Locks only keep honest people out!

Could it be a sticky solenoid controlled valve (assuming there is some electrical interface)?

My dealer is pretty cool when it comes to customers asking his mechanics for advice (I will either call or stop in and talk to them). They are happy to give advice because they are so backed up with work and I'm one less thing they have to contend with.

I have a TC33D with Super Steer (no loader). My neighbor with same machine has a loader and says since the SS axle sits much further forward it has more stability vs. non-SS which he tested. I dislike NH cutting brakes on same side as HST pedal (what were they thinking!).
The SS is superior for doing close-quarter grading work or brush cutting--it's like driving a hi-lo forklift forward.

An 855 4WD for that price is an outright steal! For that price, I take it that it must be an 1989 or early 90's model. Unfortunately with 19 pto hp. I doubt you will be able to run a 6 ft. rotary cutter. 5 ft. would be pushing it in any type of tall grass or brush.

I would suggest sticking with the OEM block heater. If the temps are that cold you should be running a good synthetic diesel oil which will flow very well even at extreme cold temps. The magnetic pan heaters do help but unless some insulation is placed around them or the machine is in a shelter out of the wind; a lot of the heat generated is lost.

So what is he saying? CNH is only able to find deralick losers to come build the tractors? Yes some of these guys may of just "made a mistake!" I think most if not all made their own bed. The only reason they are looking for work is to STAY OUT OF JAIL. The police venture into that plant almost daily and leave with someone in handcuffs!
As for the statement about the union should do MORE to help the minority. WHAT A CROCK OF SHIT. WHY should the union help them? In my neck of the woods you HELP YOURSELF, take responsibility for your own future and becaome a member of society that is acceptable to the community and the law enforcement officials (in other words obey the law and you stay out of jail) Over the 7 years I have been there the majority of employees hired that are not skilled are minority, whether they be women or people of color. The last few groups that have been hire, you would be hard pressed to find a white male in the group. Where he comes up with the union doing more for this portion of Americans is beyond me. Many of my friends SONS may need a job someday too. This is crap all the way around. We go to the same schools and have the same problems with divorce and broken familys. Dont come crying on my shoulder looking for hand outs if you choose to live a life of crime instead of getting a job at McDonalds when you graduate, learn a few work ethic skills and move on from there. Our unions support the Dem. (Why I dont know) but the Dems. support lower class and middle lower classes of people regaurdless of color/race/or (lately) country of origin. Our union does enough, period! Its past time for this country to set color and creed and gender aside from hireing practices and hire as a true, "equal opportunity employment company"
Yes, convicts need jobs too. But while out on "suprvised leaves from jail" it is NOT a good idea to have to come face to "car window" with guys who have been replaced every day. I quick story and I will end this rant. Yesterday morning it was -3 degrees. We were on the line slowing cars down as they crossed the line. One car had 4 men in it. One of them flipped off a 58 year old guy next to me right after he had cupped his hands and made it look like he was soo warm in the car and we were freezing. Now this guy then flips my friend off and then rubs his 3 fingers and thumb together (in the national sign for MONEY) and flips him off again. This 58 year old huy who I have never saw go over the line with his temper, just about lost it. Calling this guy OUT. You should of heard the words!!!! I had to grab him to keep him from going to jail! He would of busted that window out and you all know what would of happened then. As that car continued past us and entered the company property one of the guys in back of that car flashed us a few GANG SIGNS. 3-4 boys
Now do you see why the state may think the convicts should look else where for employment? Some one is going to get hurt and some one is going to go to jail. This guy has 2 years till retirement and this thug is making light of the situation. You think this guy will be there in 29 years? CNH is claiming they dont hire the employess but STROM Comp. does. If this is the workforce they are assembling you can kiss this tractor line away, for john deere will absolutely steal all of the market share soon enough. I guess paying your employess a fair wage (like JD does) and keeping a smaller share of the profit is a good thing. Or soon we will see.
Thanks for listening to me vent, whether you like unions or not that is not the point. This foriegn owned company has took an american tradition CASE and will drive it into the ground just like their car buisness. We are all american workers no matter who or what we do. One feeds off the other is one way or anouther dont think for a second your cushy office job is not effected by the maufacturing in the state. I hope like all hell we are still out in March. I will decide in March if will be moving or not.

Thanks for the information. I, too, thought I should change oil - not due to hours, but due to time. I've always changed my car oil at 3000 miles OR 3 months. I'm over the 3 months on the tractor. My dealer said to wait until 50 hours or to put in Break-In oil again. I think I'll do the later as my Christmas Gift to my 2210. By spring I'll be ready for the "real thing" in oil!

Just takes twice as long to grade it if you can only go downhill. The extra foot isn't worth it if you mostly do hills and it keeps you from working uphill.

My RTV900 has about 15 hrs on it. It sticks in reverse at times and can't get it out any way except to kill the engine and then of course, it comes out easily. This seems to be acommon problem with these units. It would seem to me that this is a design flaw.
