I have used ebay a good bit and this is definitly a scam. I have never seen a real auction limited to preapproved bidders, When it says ship "worldwide", no feedback, only been a member since day auction started, these are good indicators as well as a buy it now too low price. Some scams are very realistic and elaborate. My dealings have been limited to under $13000, and I have bought things unseen. Like my vermeer trencher which I bought used and just resold on ebay for what I paid but 3 years later.( got all my trenching done for free) I always check their other items, feedback, payment options. If they accept PAYPAL with a credit card, I never worry. If it is a scam, my credit card yanks payment from paypal(it did happen on a $700 computer). I don't let paypal debit my bank account, there is only protection through paypal and I don't trust them with that. If they don't take paypal, feedback becomes more important with similar items. If it is a high dollar item, that I can't see, I insist on a full name with a land line phone number that I can reverse search online. When I sell, I accept no paypl or credit cards, I am honest and don't want a scammer yanking my payment. I make sure all payments clear before pickup or it must be only cash if they pay at pickup and I check every bill. Ebay is a great place but riddled with danger and it is the inexperienced that often fall prey.

Tommy, thanks for the good news. I'll tell ya these engines run pretty clean to start with. I didn't think it would take much to pass the EPA. Been a diesel wrench close to thirty years (senior moment)well make that 30 at least and these are not dirty at all. What do you think they did? a little governor squeek? Cylinder chamber mod? Mine (Y380) runs purrs like kitten with all sorts of power. Y385 & 395 is just punched out a bit and don't think 4 cyl is much more different in the technology. Hey, it old tech but it works.

15 minutes sounds about right. I know on my 2210, there is a definate clearance problem from the front intermediate hitch (carries and locates the main driveshaft) to where the loader stand raises. At first i thought I could grind away a bit of the loader stands, but after some more analysis am back to the drawing board.

earthworks; Propane injection brings back memories of when the M and W gear co. selling turbo kits for 4010 and 4020 Deeres back in the mid sixties faster than they could build them. They could easily boost the power of a 4020 from 94 to 125. Then somebody came up with the idea of injecting propane in the airstream ahead of the turbo. Wow could them things put out power. All at once you started seeing lots of used turbos and propane injection kits for sale. The rest of the engine and everything behind just wasn't ready for that much heat and torque. They tried oversize aluminum ribbed oil pans, bigger radiators, all sorts of things. Of course most every diesel today has a turbo, they are enginered to handle the extra pressuer and heat. Now since I've rambled on about a question you did'nt ask, I really had kind of forgotten about the propane injection thing and really don't know why it did'nt get very far. Maybe someone else can enlighten both of us. Frank.

I know, old topic, but .02 is .02 for others who may read this.

I have a B2410 that I use for my horse farm, and needed a tiller, so I decided to look at what Farm and Fleet had. They carry all King Kutter stuff now, so I happened to show up when they had a sale on the tillers. I got me a 60" KK tiller, gear drive. I found that my quick hitch made the shaft too short, so I found a PTO extender and welded that to the shaft on the gear box. So far I have tilled about an acre of very hard rocky soil, full depth on the first pass with hardly a strain on the tractor, so it does its job quite well. As for the paint, well I have 4 KK attachments and everyone of them has lost some paint here and there.

One BAD thing about KK attachments, getting support from the company, very slow and they tend to dont give a crap. I sent an email asking where I can find touchup paint and they blew me off saying go to where you bought it, and left it at that. Hell if the place I bought it had the paint, I wouldnt be ASKING!

I am aware and agree with all your posts. Safety is of great importance, unfortunatly it is the first thing most people are willing to compromise on. Just look at the speed limit and the speed poeple actually drive. Even hooking the generator directly to the main lugs is having a double male cord, male at one end bare wires at the other. Putting your self at risk is one thing, putting others at risk is where the line needs to be drawn. Certainly a person should have a good grasp of what they are doing and the risks involved to remain safe. You know what they say "Common sense isn't"

I was understanding you to mean that the engine was actually running an output of 540 pto speed. With that, one would have so much (typically) hydraulic pressure with a pto pump, that the machine would be conceivably herky-jerky, hence the reason to run it as you pointed out, just over idle.

I always ran mine at about 1500rpm (engine). This delivered PLENTY of power at the backhoe without being herky-jerky.
SHEEESH! If that baby bent on you like you described, makes me wonder if the wrong pto pump (too high of an output) was spec'd for the unit. This would account for the ability of overpowering the hoe, even at low pto speeds.

DOUGHBOY: Mileage and power--that's why I went with the H.O. diesel (555 lb.ft. torque). And it's 85% quiter than an '02 diesel. It was about $500 more for the High Output but well worth it---everything engine/drive train is upgraded to heavy duty as a package. There is virtually no perceptable "turbo-lag" either, unlike my '99 diesel. Driving it is like driving the same truck with a gas engine only it goes through the gears so quickly it's in overdrive at 35-40 mph when unloaded, 45-50mph when heavily loaded. Even pulling 15K lb. it stays in overdrive. The '95 with a gas 360 (diesel is also 360 c.i.d.) couldn't get out of its own way---it was such a dog (Chrysler bought it back in '98---got all my loan payments plus interest, my downpayment and $3000 of $8000 in aftermarket accessories)

The Kubota MMM deck comes with two cleavis pins that are stored neatly in their own little holders on the deck until needed. To lock the deck, lower it and remove the two cleavis pins from their holders. Then raise the deck, the deck now has two holes one on each side that match up with holes on the tractors frame or loader subframe, insert the two clevis pins and you are done!

Thanks for the input. With so much happening to my system at one time (all the changes) I was confused and had lost direction. The ruptured bladder was one of my concerns and I think you both are correct that is must be that. All the symptoms seem to lead to that so I will replace it this weekend. I am sure having a much larger tank will also help even more to lessen the times the pump needs to turn on. I will let ya all know how this turns out next week.

If it's that wooded are you sure that grass will even grow? Something to keep in mind. One summer...about 23 years ago I think...I worked for one of those lawn services that does liquid fertilizer application. I can't tell you how many times we got calls from folks that wanted grass to grow up under their big maples and were frustrated that just spraying on a bunch of fertizer didn't do the job. I'd have to, gently, tell them that it was just too shady to grow grass.

Dual remotes would probably refer to two extra hydraulic circuits at the rear of the tractor with a two spool Aux. SCV. Two cicuits would be four quick connect plugs, two for each circuit.

Sand and gravel that is dry and loose, will weigh about 2700lbs/yard. Fill dirt, or a clay and sand mix will be about about the same dry, but could weigh up to 3200lbs/yard if the moisture content is high. So if you don't get it to wet, you are getting about .75 yards/ton. Buying a wet load could get your yield down below .7yards/ton. If you are buying by the ton, the moisture content is important. Like kubotaguy said, don't buy it after a good rain, or you will be getting more water for your dollar.
