I've got a b6100 diesel that has low oil pressure after it warms up. The hotter, the lower the pressure. Ive heard of some type of fix related to camshaft/ plugs. can anybody give me an idea of a fix?

Well guys, the 4410 with only 24 hours on it was picked up by the dealer today for diagnosis and repair. The steering has gotten worse and the loader has gotten weaker. When I explained the symptoms to my salesman he immediately said "we are going to need to bring it in." It was picked up this morning, I'll post the outcome when I hear something.

I'll sure have to agree with being in a nice warm cab. There are lots of good plows made, I bought a Wastern with the angling kit mainly because there is a good dealer within five miles. It almost makes plowing snow fun. I usually start out long before dawn to plow out some folks who have to get to work. I never have charged anyone for plowing but somehow warm cookies show up in a day or two. Frank.

Ati was widely used and recommended by Kubota dealers before they started building there own. The books say they don't match the new loaders.

Another option, not sure it is available to you ? But a common practice here is to use recycled asphalt or brown pack.
They (PIKE INDUSTRIES) mix fine gravel with the asphalt they remove from resurfacing jobs and sell it. It is used for a base before paving driveways or as a finished surface.
Packs like cement but, can easily be regraded year to year.
The gravel mixture keeps the old asphalt from clumping together. I have used it many times with great results. The stone surface could create problems with the snow removal.

Assuming engineers at JD put at least some thought into this problem, here is their solution for a JD 4300 hydro. I know this because I happen to have one with BOTH (all) heaters.

One 400 watt heater screwed directly into the side of the engine block so that the element (about the size of a dollar coin) is in direct contact with the engine coolant. I know this because when I unscrewed it coolant poured out. There is no thermostat (when its plugged in its on). After a couple of hours the whole engine block seems uniformly warm (reletively), from oil pan at bottom to valve cover at the top and either side.

One 150 watt heater placed in the intake for the suction line of the hydro fluid at the bottom of the rear axle and transmission resevior, again no thermostat.

Instructions are as follows: Below 20F turn heaters on.

Are JD engineers as varied in their opinions as to the merits of heaters in this configuration as we seem to be? I hope (assume) they knew what they were doing.

anonymous; I need to talk to your brother. I have a 100 year old house with a crawl space and would love to hear how the heck he dug a basement. I thought about this when I bought my 2210 but.. seems dangerous.

Thanks, a bunch of fun to build too. Beated whining about the 3-pt control. My next version will be electronic, with digital readout. Ceratinly overkill... but why not.

The non-folding rops is a 300 dollar savings without the addition of the 150 dollars for the mid PTO option if needed. That also means that the Kubota frame mounted backhoe couldn't be used either.

Purchased new in April 04. Slightly over 40hrs on it, hardly used. Comes with front end loader, 3 pt hitch, PTO, 62" belly finishing mower. I would like to sell this tractor, but am not sure what "blue book value" would be. I paid $13,000.

You can tap into a hydraulic circuit anywhere on the pressure side of the cicuit as long as the valve you add has Power Beyond capability. You will need the power beyond port to continue the pressure circuit, and exhaust the valve to the same port ( usually with a tee) as the original exhaust circuit.

There is a good power beyond circuit diagram on the Prince Hydraulics website. Go to the SCV valves and manuals. I believe it is page 13 of the manual that gives a typical Power Beyond Circuit diagram.

Wildbill, here's the dimensions on the top cylinder for the JD OEM Top and Tilt kit for a 4310. I'm not exactly sure how to measure them so I threw in a bunch of numbers. Hope this helps.<br>

There are potentially two problems that we have seen with all valves with float. One is they pop out to easily or youcan't get them in to the float position. For going in tough or not being able to get them in then chances are it is rust or moisture and they need to be cleaned and a small amount of grease added on surfaces. For disengaging to easily the first step is to still grease as well as increasing the spring tension to hold the balls into the detent. There is a kit for when things don't go right or look to rough but that is normally from rust which we normally have here from condensation. Is it a problem for all, no. We have had to do some of all valves that are the same type but the numbers seem far less then we sell of that valve configuration. I'd doubt that we have more then 10 percent failure on these valves and the bulk of our problems go to the freeze up problems according to the shop.

Forks work very well for brush, esp. with a grapple. See my pics. 1-7.In May last spring a tornado wiped out an entire town in our county and passed 1 mile from my home. I had severe straight winds and lost several trees and limbs.I used my 2210 with homemade forks and grapple to clean up. I was amazed at how much it could do. I do a lot of limb clean up so I had the dealer install 2 extra hydraulic outlets, one front and one rear. $700. It is SO NICE to have Hyd. top link and Grapple.

In going through all of the posts I do not see this backhoe discussed. Any info would be helpful. I have one on a JD 4100. Plenty of power maybe to much. First real use this past weekend and I bent the dipper stick ram into a 90 degree angle . hoping it will be covered under warrenty. No realtime on unit. I was pulling a small cluster of 1-2 inch saplings maybe 12 inch round . Hoe runs off pto pump I was running at approx. 1700 rpm.

The real problem with breaking up a road surface 6" down is not getting rid of potholes, or the 'pothole memory' it is compacting it after you 'massage' it back into shape.

As a rule of thumb you cannot compact material by driving over it any further down than about 2" at best.

To compact down 6" in a single shot would require a VERY heavy vibratory roller and moisture to lock it down.

If you're power raking down 6" and not having any ruts or potholes coming back then I'm amazed too.
