I believe the middle position is regenerative circuit lockout on the bucket spool (in case you want to use this spool for some attachment that does not need regen) and bottom position is complete lockout of the scv functions. For loader work you would use the top position.

The only listing I see in the Farm Equp guide is for a MF 254 FWA made between 1982-86. It's a 43 hp and the auction prices range from $5900-7164. You can add $1500-2000 for the loader and need to adjust for the hours. You didn't say what year it is so the hours may be high or low. Hope this helps

I recently acquired a Ford 1100 4wd with front weights. Will this tractor pull a five ft finish mower without overworking it? I get conflicting stories from dealers. Obviously I would rather pull a 5 ft but if I have to mow in a lower gear and have to worry about the grass getting too tall I would be better off with a 4 ft????? Thanks ahead of time. Harold

I have just gone through this with the purchase of my front blower for my jd855.
The blower has plates that you can stack up to increase the surface area this is not efficient for working off of gravel. you will need skid pads with a 4" x 12" surface area to support the wieght of the blower. I found with past blowers that a good hight for the scrapper blade is 2" from the ground until things realy freeze up. Good luck and happy blowing!!

Does anyone know of an aftermarket loader that will fit a B6100dt? I m considering purchasing the used tractor, but will need a loader for it. Has anyone had any experiences with Koyker or woods on the smaller Kubota s? Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Help !<br>My Mitsu lift has DIED. This has happened before and often revving up the engine and working the lift lever up and down several times would get the lift to work again. Once before when to no avail the lift wouldnt lift, I took it to the dealer, they removed and cleaned the hydraulic filter, it was clean. They then removed the lift and removed and disassembled the lift control valve for cleaning and then reassembled after which it worked fine for a while then started acting up on occasion and now its dead. I think cleaning the control valve again is what it needs but I have not been able to get a manual for this tractor and hesitate to take it apart. Any suggestions will be appreciated.<br>Thanks,<br>ED

Hi Jeff, For winter storage--- Max out your fuel tank with #2 ONLY! Use a fuel conditioner for diesel. Change your oil before winter (acids in combustion by-products). Fill battery to specs. Start motor every couple weeks and run at fast idle 1200 rpm until warm. The main thing is to change to oil before storage. Diesels are notorious at oil contamination.

I just aquired more land and the new compact 30+ hp tractors are looking very appealing. I have a 1981 Satoh Bull (S630) 2wd I purchased new and is in perfect condition. It has 1800 hours and looks and runs perfect. It has always been garage kept, well maintained and has performed mostly grass cutting duty. I really hate to sell it and have absolutely no idea how much to ask for it. No implements will be included. I live in an area which compact tractors are VERY popular. Any thoughts or experience on pricing this unit?

Craig,
The only caveat about washing a diesel is to be careful not to hit the injector pump with cold water when it is hot. GM put out a service bulletin about this as the temperature difference can warp the pump enough to screw up the close tolerances the pump is built to. They recommend that diesels not be washed if they are warm.

I saw an earlier post that had concerns about oil free air compressors. I just bought a Sears 5.5hp/20 gal for home use. I live in the country and will use the compressor for airing up tires, cleaning tools, changing tires, etc. Should I be concerned about the oil free compressor? What is the concern about this kind of compressor? The Sears compressor is still in the box and I am wondering if I should return the compressor and consider another option. Thanks in advance for any help.
