I have rewitten the Message Board software, so that the board will continue to be able to handle the high level of message content that we have (over 10,000 messages). The old approach was reaching the end of its life.<p>If there are things that you find confusing, let me know and I will see if I can change them.<p>The new Board software will allow expansion of the Board to cover new areas like Full Size Tractors , Excavation Equipment , Landscaping , Trucks and Trailers , ...etc.. It also will allow for database look ups for specific information. With the CTB member system you will be able to modify yoiur messages at any time (not implemented at this time).<p>If you have a major Board area you would like listed let me know. That is a scary situation have you tried chains since, what percent slope are you talking about my drive is about 6% to 8% slope at 8 or 10% it is much harder to maintain traction

cutting edge was $3.049. Woods Rd6000 60" rear finishing mower $1.441.
Rear remote valve for $164.00 . Total price was 17.909.00 .

The JD 430 is the predecessor to the 455 and is quite similar to the 455, although I have heard that they are more heavily built and tougher (just opinions i have heard on the john deere garden tractor yahoo club). I don't know if you are looking for deere impliments, but deere still makes many impliments that will fit the 430, in fact many of the impliments for the current 400 series will also say they are compatible with the 420/430 models. Any impliment for a 455 out there should be available for the 430 as well. (althought it depends, what are you looking for exactly?). Hope this helps.<br>

I have a 550 in ground. I purchased a hand pump from Northern for about $25. It is made for barrels, so I had to put an extension on it with an air inlet for letting down the column. Then I pump it dry, take the nozzle off and pour the remainder into my 5 gal can. It sounds like a lot of effort, but after you do it a few times and get the routine down, I can do the whole thing in a few minutes without spilling a drop. I wouldn't care if it were a hand pump or a 12V, but one thing I wish I did have was a pump that self primed: I know that some of the 12Vs do but I didn't want to spend that kind of money. Without question, if you can get gravity to do it all for you that is certainly the best way forward. I recommend using an additive which will stabilize the fuel, increase its lubricity as well as decrease the winter gel temp. I use DEE-ZOL+ but this will be the first winter so I don't have direct experience yet.

Gerard, $13,500 for that Cub Cadet does seem like a very good price, considering the fact that it included a backhoe. I bought a Cub Cadet riding mower nearly 5 years ago and then a few months later, when looking for a compact tractor, I almost bought a Cub Cadet tractor, before finally deciding on a Kubota. In fact, the Kubota dealer I bought from also sold Cub Cadet, and I had also looked at the Cub Cadet at another dealer. I found that the Cub Cadet cost a little, not a lot, more than a comparable Kubota, and my salesman told me the Kubota would probably hold its value better (I think he was right). But the biggest factor was probably that I drove a Kubota and liked it. Then I sat on the Cub Cadet (didn't even drive it) and it was uncomfortable for me, but that would probably vary from one person to another. I'm still partial to Kubota, but for the right price . . .. I do think the Cub Cadet is a fine little tractor.

SUZUE I don't remeber much about the tractors it was late 70's earily 80's when my father sold two of them. They may be related to iseke or the cub cadets. Check the PTO. I think it was a 3 speed with odd speeds. It may even turn in the wrong direction. Nice tractor. Keith<br>

does any one have a10 ft. rollins mower? mine does not cut clean. it leaves a standing trail of grass or weeds about 14 inches from each side. are there any kits available to convert this mower to catagory 2 hitch. my dealer quit selling them , and i think i have one of a kind.<br>

Gerald, when I ran them I to from time to time found I had to push some but I haven,t seen any that I thought were any better. I thought your duals would have helped and I don't have one to look at but I don't think chains would fit. To slow it down more in the forward tine mode when the ground is loose you might want to try fabricating your own depth bar to slow it down. The tilling originally of soil they recommend only dropping the tiller a couple of inches at a time that may get you away from the problem of having to push. Art

I had a lot of trouble for a couple of years with dirt, mud (clay), grass, etc. building up under the deck of a riding lawnmower that was very difficult to clean off. I tried painting the underside of the deck with what was supposed to be a slick enamel, then a neighbor told me about spraying the underside of the deck with WD40, but neither helped much (although I do use a lot of WD40 for other things), and then another neighbor told me that he mixes 75% diesel and 25% motor oil and sprays the underside of the mower with that, and after mowing, simply hose it off. And I found that worked marvelously on my Cub Cadet! Now that I'm going to be using a 60

I have a Kubota L2000 that was imported into Thailand from Japan with about 580 hours on the engine. I have been having trouble with the hydraulic system. All the service placards are in Japanese, so I can't read them. I have drained all the old fluid out and replaced it. This has not cured the problem. I can't find a filter for the hyd. fluid on the tractor, and from the condition of the old fluid there may not be one. I need a shop manual for it so I can start to figure out what's wrong.<br>Does anyone know if there is a manual or any useful information on the web about this. Or perhaps there is someone with experience in dealing with this who can help me via e-mail.<br>Botter

I don't know how much instant depreciation to allow a tractor as it rolls out of the dealers lot, but as a starting point I can tell you that I bought my B1700 ( hydro, 4 wheel drive) with Kubota loader and ag tires for $13,500 in March of 1999. Governor Pataki added his 7% of course. Maybe a fair deal to you and the seller would be to say that his lesson ( bought the wrong tractor?) cost him $1,000, so you would pay $12,500 for the machine and also save the sales tax. I would consider that a fair deal IF the full warantee was transferable to you. If no warantee, the price would need to go way down.<br>Just my idea, based on nothing but ccommon sense,<br>PaulB
