EXCELLENT IDEA!!! I'll have to build one for my hoe. Did you consider making a bolt-on trailer hitch for the bucket so it would be easier to move around?

Yours is tough! I don't recommend mixing brands to much unless done well as well as covering. The 2150 with loader would come in around 8500 to 9000 roughly and a used hoe at 2500 to 4500 with the case of yours being nearly new.

Boarding horses is not a sideline, it is a 24/7 operation. If you already are not into it, I think the cost of getting set-up would take years and years to re-coup.<br>

If you are looking for a side line, what about a bed and breakfast type of dude ranch thing. You could maybe charge $750.00 to $1,000.00 per week. It sounds like you have a beautiful area for people to relax. Maybe you could lease mountain bikes or ATV's for people to explore. Either share your living quarters or build a bunkhouse with a Western Theme with Jacuzzi and rent it out when you want to. Here Yuppie,Yuppie!

JR, Art is right, we start ours up here on a regular basis in weather colder than you'll ever see down there, no problem.

If you are concerned about helping the start process a little bit, and the machine is kept inside, don't worry about a block heater, just get one of those clip on flood lamps and put a heat lamp bulb in it. Take the hood off, the right side is probably best, and clip the light to the bar that runs to the grill guard on the FEL, this will heat the entire engine by infrared heat. I know several people up here who do this, it only takes about 10-20 minutes to make a big difference in the block temperature.

JD, the one thing you will have to be aware of though is if it is the tide itself bringing in the silt, you will be fighting a losing battle.

Natural erosion or siltation is a powerful force, the Army Corp. of Engineers spends a whole lot of time and effort on combating this very thing every year.

The best way to clear it, and keep it clear, is to make sure that the tidal flow sweeps the ditch clean every time.

Best deal we've hit here is the legion which does a Veterns Day dinner. Was this Saturday nite past, Prime rib baked potatos and squash and cake for desert, $5.00 a plate and an hour of drinks before! Not that there are not plenty of church suppers or fish frys here. High taxes, cheap food! I love NY!

I know what you mean about Deere Creek. They bought out the local Deere store in Smyrna, DE and think they are doing you a favor by buying from them. I avoid that place at all cost.

Seems like a great price for the model with low hours. How does it look to you? Beat up? That might change the value as 300 hours of abuse could make it a mediocre deal.

My neighbor has one. He put it in about 3 years ago when gas prices went nutz. Said it works great but it is kinda funny seeing that big hopper outside his house full of corn. I would think it would be more of a novelty than anything else unless you farm. Even in that case nothing beats a good energy efficient furnace but to each there own.
My next furnace will be an outdoor boiler (wood burning) Of course I will have a back up lp just incase I am getting lucky some day and dont want to leave to fill her up with wood. ((((RIGHT)))))

The dealer mentioned this 1996 955 was owned by a tree nursery business. I have a feeling that the loader was left on all the time, and has really taken a toll on the front end. He has a 1998 955 with a 72"MMM that is in great shape for $12k. What if I bought the 1996 loader and bought the '98 955? What would a used 70 model loader be worth? I feel that would be a more reliable unit.

1 of the 4-in 1 is bulldozer. You can't ram any harder with the bucket open than closed. If my dealer honestly said my loader was not to be used with a 4 in 1, it would be the very next poorly engineered piece of junk listed on ebay. ATI attachments makes a very nice light duty (for use on compact tractors verses skid steers) 4 in 1 bucket. http://www.preseeder.com/.

I just sold the whole setup to a guy down in Virginia. I replaced it with a Power Trac and a bunch of attachments. Although the PT is not as good of a slope mower, it rules when it comes to FEL work and this is what I am looking for.

Thanks Art. I've sent an e-mail to New Holland explaining what happened with a suggestion to find a remedy but haven't heard anything yet.

I've thought about getting a steel plate fabricated with attachment points located exactly like the MMM and use similar locking pins. This will protect the oil filter/HST fan and should provide enough ground clearance to work without worry of potential damage.

I kinda hope that New Holland will have a better solution - LOL.

Well I guess I won't be getting a hydraulic setup. I'll try again later. I really didn't need it, I just wanted to have all the goodies on my new Tractor. I've had more fun with the 4110, but once you get one it seems like you want a larger one. There is so many things I want to buy my wife is starting to worry that I'm in my second Childhood,I'm probably a pain in the neck, I'll try to not tie up the Board Thanks Again!

I have a (1995) 7275 with 600+ hours and never had a problem. I keep it in a drafty shed with dirt floor. It starts a little hard when temp. is in the teens and below.

Thanks Murf. Pretty much done all those things except nuetral on the range shift. I'll try that. Hearing those gears engage is painfull for me. I ran that PHD all summer without even a clunk. This started during the leaf harvest this fall with the RFM. The clutch adjustment helped, wondering whether I had overlooked something.

By the way, patience is not one of those virtues that was in large supply when the good Lord rolled me off the assembly line. I think they were having one of those parts shortages that day. My wife could cetainly testify to that!
